25 meter Yacht Damaged by Fire in Dubai Harbour

The 25 meter m/y Big Boss had an onboard fire while berthed at Dubai Harbour, United Arab Emirates on 08:24 morning time of Sunday 27 April.  The Dubai Civil Service responded to the fire in just four minutes, and managed to extinguish it in less to two hours by 10:13.  No injuries came from the fire, with the yacht reported to be unattended.  Dubai Civil Service reported that the fire was of moderate intensity, though this is the case as they responded quickly in some minutes.  Following the extinguishing, the 25 meter yacht was reported as taking on water listing to its stern, as because the fire damaged parts of the hull below the water line.
M/y Big Boss is a 2010 Dubai Marine Duretti 85 as designed by its builder and delivered in at least another unit, the other hull delivered in 2007.  Dubai Marine is a boat and yacht builder from Umm Al Quwain and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, who build boats and yachts from six to 37 meters, with the Duretti 85 being its known largest build to date.
