During a press conference in Milan on eight February, which also celebrated Baglietto 170th anniversary, the today super yacht specialist announced two new projects, with one of these being the X50, an explorer looking super yacht as designed by the Italian builder long standing designer Francesco Paszowski.  The Baglietto X50 is full of stand out features with an open stern which takes a third of the yachts length, and able to carry two ten meter tenders.  The X50 also debuts Baglietto new XO line of tug inspired looks explorer super yachts.  Baglietto has flirted with explorer looking yachts in the present and in the past like the two units of the 42 Exp it launched in 2009, or the recent custom build hull nos#10235, although none of these where tug yacht looking as the X50.  A unique design feature of the X50 will be the disruptive pilot station which features the helm station below and a guest passenger lounge above.  This lounge is designed to be a multi purpose retreat for the owner and his guests, with six screens able to do an array of duties from navigation data to normal TV or computing operation, and can be also fitted out as a private owners office.  The X50 is to be build in ice-class with part of the hull evolving from the T-52 model, but re-engineered to be more sea-worthy with a redesigned bulb shape.  The Baglietto X50 is set to be powered by twin Cat engines for speeds up to sixteen knots.
