Down under boat builder Clipper presents the new Explorer series a long range pilot-house blue water cruisers designed by renowned naval architect Mark Williamson from Australia. The first model of the range the 50 Explorer will debut this year and is available in a two, or three cabins layouts. The two cabin version offers a full beam master stateroom amidships with island bed along with a generous VIP cabin forward, both with ensuites. A new contemporary saloon, galley and pilot house design featuring your choice of West African teak or a lighter Aniegre wood finish internally. The Explorer will feature a semi-displacement hull design available in single shaft or twin propulsion configuration.  The Clipper 50 Explorer can be ordered to be a dedicated 8 knot cruiser or equipped to be capable of a sprint speed of 18 knots if you need to get ahead of the weather. Speeds are dependent on engine horsepower and configuration. The 50 Explorer will be joined by a 55 model in 2014 and a 70 flagship in 2015.
