Project: Prestige 60

A new flybridge motor yacht project from Prestige, representing a lot of important news from the French builder part of the Beneteau Group and as last year branded as Jeanneau. In fact one of the news coming with this new 60 model feet flagship, is now that Prestige is a separate independent brand, including the 10 models of the current range from the small 30S up to the 50 from the flybridge line. The new Prestige 60 represents also the introduction of a new Yacht division from this builder, announcing with it more upcoming bigger models up to 85 feet in the future. 60 Prestige offers also important novelties, starting from the interior which seems not to miss a beat having a three guest cabins all with personal heads head lower deck including in it a very spacious full beam owners cabin.  A double crew berth cabin with head is also located aft. The main deck continues the innovation versus the competition shown with the astern galley aft of the saloon, an internal and exterior stair case to the flybridge, this without missing a nice seven person dining table, and a C-shaped sofa opposite. Propulsion wise the 60 Prestige challenges the competition again, offering Volvo pod drives, with twin IPS850 670hp power, giving estimated top speeds of 31 knots and a cruising of 25. This will be among the first IPS propelled boats for an over 50ft flyrbidge motor yachts, but if that speed data is confirmed may be the real advantage here will be easy joystick manoeuvring, knowing of similar sized yachts with shaft propulsion and a similar displacement, size and power which have more or less the same speed.
