New Model: Azimut 45 Flybridge

By surprise Azimut hits in advance to the fall 2011 boat show season presenting its new 45 model during the Azimut Benetti Group rendez vous held in Venice.  The new 45 makes part of Azimut's best selling Flybridge range.  So far the very known boat builder has not said if this model will replace the 2004 launched 43, but all indication suggest it will be.  With various competitors presenting new models in the 40 to 45 feet size in the last couple years the new Azimut 45 designed by the usual combo of architects Righini exterior and Galeazzi interior surprises for its versatility in layout and optional choices, and puts some new challenges in this size.  The most distinct feature of the 45 is that the model can be offered in a two or three cabins layout.  In both choices the owners suite is to fore, with the three cabins version eating space from the large galley.  The interior are to be finished in oak and Jakarta leather.  Azimut also says that revolution of this model comes from the flybridge with a modular setting which can set as to one needs, and accommodate up to ten persons.  Major thought has been also made to the safety of the flybridge with railing height being a minimum of 76 cm. and a bimini set up which covers the whole area.  Other option will include an up and down bathing platform which can take up to a max of 350 kg of weight. Power for the new Azimut 45 is from twin Cummins 480hp engines in traditional line shafts, which is also to be available with easy to manoeuvre joystick controls.  Speed is a max of 32 knots with cruising at 27 knots.
