New Model: Vanquish VQ70 T-Top

Vanquish presents the new and first VQ70 T-Top a new sport yacht of 22 meters which again comes from the Dutch firms all time designer Guide de Groot.  Part of the aluminium build semi-custom series the VQ70 is also a nice filler between the larger VQ80 and the popular VQ58, a project which has seen its first presentation as VQ65 then VQ68 and then arriving in this ultimate VQ70 form.  Now that hull one is delivered the VQ70 is an interesting offer, also considering that the Dutch builder has had a lot of success with its VQ58 and some customers will be interested for an upgrade up.  The first VQ70 was delivered for a US Floridian customer who choose the more open T-Top version, and is powered by the large engine option of  twin Man 2000hp and jet drive propulsion for a fifty knots top speed.  His layout of choice was a full walk-around open main deck with aft and fore sun-pads, and three dinettes; aft, midships under the hard-top with a wet bar located opposite to starboard, and fore deck.  The lower deck layout in this first VQ70 is a two cabins, with an owners stateroom forward, and guest VIP suite to midships, with a galley and small for coffee saloon in between the cabins.  A crew cabin with two berths is located at midships.  The Vanquish VQ70 also features two garages, an under the sun-pad with space for a rib, and a midships located hull side with opening to starboard with space for a jet-bike.  The VQ70 is also offered in smaller engine power of triple Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod drives good for about 43 knots, while for the speed lovers Vanquish also offer it with bigger engines and surface drives set up for speeds up to sixty knots.

Cranchi New Web Site

Cranchi presents its new World wide web showroom. Cranchi was officially founded in 1870, with the today World known production and yacht builder story starting when Giovanni Cranchi opens a workshop in Como in 1866 building fisherman and transport boats on commission, who after four years officially registers Cantiere Nautico Cranchi. In 1932 the grandson of Cranchi also named Giovanni purchases a building in Brienno, Como on the lake shore and transforms it into a shipyard. This step leads into 1952 when Cranchi and his children devote themselves to wooden boats mass production. But the real turn around for Cranchi comes from fourth generation Aldo in 1970, who partners with Tullio Monzino, moves to shipyard to nearby Valtellina and starts fiberglass production in the new establishment in Piantedo, Sondrio. This move produces the first Kiko model, and leads after this to various over one thousand delivered models; 1971 4.85 Pilotina, 1974 20 Rally, and the 1997 launched 34 Zaffiro. The plant in Piantedo also continues its expansion and in the eighties expands to 20,000 squared metres, and again to 33,000. Other sites are also added; San Giorgio di Nogaro Marine Test Center in 1997, San Giorgio di Nogaro 22,000 square meters factory, a third plant in Colico, Lecce, and last in 2005 the opening of Seventy Plant 4 dedicated to plus fifty foot yachts in an area of 100,000 squared meters of which 25,000 covered located in Rogolo, Sondrio. In all these plants Cranchi today produces ten models from the entry level E26 Rider, to the Settantotto 78 flagship, with its latest models being the just debuted Sessantasette 67 Corsa and the Sessantadue 62, with an upcoming Cinquantatre 53 project coming in 2025.
