Scanner present the project for the SuperOcean 50, a project as designed by company boss Montemitro. The 50 follows the SuperOcean 58 which debuted in 2017, as a joint cooperation between the Italian yacht builder and a French yacht brokerage company. Initially announced as the SuperOcean 48, the SuperOcean 50 will feature similar styling to the bigger sister with a more conservative straight shear line replacing the aggressive S-line used in the 58. The SuperOcean 50 is more a boat with protective rubber padding, rather then a pure rib with big floating tubes. Rendering on the Scanner web site show the SuperOcean 50 will feature an open cabin layout below deck, with a double berth forward, L-shaped dinette and galley to port side with opposite shower head, and twin berths at midships. Outside the SuperOcean 50 presents fore to aft deck spaces in a layout which becomes a walk around deck from the T-Top cover console. The Scanner SuperOcean 50 can be powered for engines up to 1600hp, with no details of set up and performances yet provided.

Project: Scanner Envy 1500
Scanner Marine announce the project for an Envy 1500, a new flagship of its Envy line and second in size only to its Super Ocean 58. Designed by Montemitro, the Scanner Envy 1500 is a walk around rib dedicated mostly to exterior spaces with fore to aft usable deck space; central aft sun-pad, dinette with opposite settees, galley, triple settee central console, and a fore deck sun-pad. Walking around in the Envy 1500 will be easy as for over half of its length she is walk around with undisturbed port and starboard corridors, with two steps leading to the fore deck. Over one meter longer to the smaller 1400, this length is said to be mostly used to increase interior cabin space, with the Envy 1500 set to offer more room in a two cabins for four berths layout; forward master stateroom, midships guest cabin, and a shower head and lounge in between the two cabins. The first Scanner Envy 1500 is to be displayed in some days at the Cannes boat, powered by twin Mercury 600hp outboard, with estimated top speed up to 45 knots max. An inboard version which starts from twin 400hp sterndrives is to come later, and for the speed lovers Scanner will offer a quadruple Mercury 600hp set up.

New Model: Scanner SuperOcean 58
Here is a new Rib Yacht which raised a few looks during its presentation for the European fall boat show season of 2017, the SuperOcean 58. A new brand with important stable names behind it, that of Scanner ribs from Italy who are also responsible for the construction of this new different looking machine. Designed by Donato Montemitro and Benoit Marcilhacy this new seventeen meter rib yacht surprises for its utilitarian do it all looks the designers provided. For a seventeen meter Rib Yacht the SuperOcean 58 also surprises for its super spacious interior and exterior, a balance which makes it compete with Sport Yachts of similar size also thanks to an important plus five meter of beam. Still the SuperOcean 58 offers a choice of two interior lower deck layouts with two or three cabins and three heads. What is interesting in all this is that the three cabin layout does not steal space from the dinette or the galley but takes space from the second VIP room and its en-suite head, this becoming smaller in the three cabin layout. In both layout choices there is a guest day head to port side on the arrival of the cabin lower deck. A single berth crew cabin located to starboard at midships is provided in both layouts. The SuperOcean 58 is powered by standard twin Man 800hp, and or optional 1000hp or 1200hp units with Jolly drive surface drive propulsion set up. Speed numbers are not yet announced.
