Outboard: Mercury Verado 5.7L V10 425hp

Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation presents the latest expansion of its award-winning Verado® outboard line-up with the introduction of the all-new V10 425hp Verado outboard.  The new 425hp is the flagship model of the 5.7 liter V10 series, which debuted with the 350 and 400hp models in the fall of 2022.  The Verado 425hp delivers class-leading acceleration and significant weight advantages compared to a 450hp competitor. In Mercury’s testing, it was: 3 seconds faster from 0-30 mph than a 450hp competitor on an eight meter 2,2 tons center-console boat with a heavy load.  The Verado 425hp is also lighter than a 450hp competitor models wieighing at 316kg dry.  The Mercury Verado 5.7L 425hp is equipped with a 150-amp alternator the highest output in its class. and is 22% quieter at cruise than a 450hp competitor.  Built on Mercury’s compact V10 platform, both engines offer center-to-center mounting, making them ideal for repowering boats originally rigged with L6 Verado or competitive outboards.  Digital Throttle and Shift is standard on the new 425hp.

Engine: Mercury Diesel 4.2L 320hp

During the Dusseldorf 2025 boat show Mercury Marine proudly introduced the latest evolution of its Mercury Diesel 4.2L, compliant with RCD II emission standards, and now available in the European Union markets. The Mercury Diesel 4.2L (RCD II) is a six-cylinder, in-line engine with a 4.2-liter displacement, equipped with a turbocharger and aftercooler. Thanks to the Common Rail fuel system with electronically controlled injectors, the engine ensures precise tuning of the air-to-fuel ratio. This results in improved acceleration, higher top speeds, and greater efficiency. The new Mercury Diesel 4.2L fully complies with RCD II emission standards. This was achieved through modified fuel injectors and advanced electronic engine control systems. The engine is compatible with both conventional diesel fuel and HVO biofuel, enabling a reduction in particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, and carbon dioxide emissions. The Mercury Diesel 4.2L 320hp offers a maximum torque of 703 Nm at 2600 RPM and a fuel consumption of 71.9 litres per hour at full load. The Mercury Diesel 4.2L is fully compatible with Mercury Marine’s Next Gen DTS and JPS Precision Joystick system, and features a closed water-cooling system, increasing durability and reliability. Additionally, Mercury SeaCore® technology provides maximum protection against corrosion in saltwater environments. Maintenance is simplified with top-mounted fluid reservoirs, a self-draining oil filter, and an easily accessible oil level indicator.

Engine: MerCruiser 4.3 MPI ECT 220hp

MerCruiser present the new 4.3 MPI ECT Emissions Control Technology engine, the latest in a comprehensive lineup of catalyzed engines ranging from 135 to 430hp. Just released the 4.3 MPI ECT is rated at 220hp and is designed to power everything from family runabouts to cruisers and houseboats. The catalyzed engine provides clean power that meets EPA and California Air Resources Board emissions regulations, ensuring the engine can be registered without limitations. The 4.3 MPI ECT complete with new fresh styling, joins six other catalyzed engines in the MerCruiser stern drive lineup, including the 3.0 MPI ECT, 5.0 MPI ECT, 350 MAG ECT, 377 MAG ECT, 8.2 MAG ECT and 8.2 MAG H.O. ECT. Like the popular non-catalyzed version, the 4.3 MPI ECT is built with a reliable V6 GM cast iron base engine, offering the exclusive Engine Guardian Protective system and is compatible with Alpha and Bravo drives. The Mercury Marine engineering team has developed an engine that not only performs on-par with the non-catalyzed version, but also is quieter and more fuel efficient. In recent tests, the 4.3 MPI ECT proved to be 5 to 10 percent better in fuel efficiency at cruising speeds and 5 percent quieter in pass by noise measurements. Boat builders and service technicians will appreciate the simplified installation process and increased serviceability of this engine, which includes an easy-to-reach hot stud location, an easy to access oil cap, improved dipstick, color coded service points and easy maintenance features. The 4.3 MPI ECT is available with MerCruiser’s exclusive SeaCore System with corrosion protection and SmartCraft Integrated Marine Technology.
