Project: Airon Marine AmX 36 WA

Paolo Molinari Airon Marine shows that to present new projects and models you do not need to be a corporate giant, and in 2023 the Lake Como boat builder will debut not one, nor two, but three new models from ten to fifteen meters.  Airon Marine is a currently a name on the top of things and the project for the AmX 36 WA project shows more of this, bringing innovation and versatility in a ten meter day-sport-cruiser.   Airon Marine AmX 36 WA is a cabin sport cruiser, with easy to move walk-around spaces from stern to fore, a modern T-hard-top integrating and protecting the centre console, and last but not least opening side bulk heads aft which increase deck space. New Model: Airon Marine Cinquanta Sport

Following the launch of the Airon 50 Cinquanta with hard-top in 2021, Paolo Molinari follows it with the sister Cinquanta Sport open version, a fifteen meter sport yacht dedicated to those who like sun and wind and open air navigation.  The Airon Marine Cinquanta Sport is also immersed in the roots of the Lake Como boat builder with a cockpit layout which follows that of long standing popular smaller models like the 345, the 388/4100, and the 4300 Sport.  These huge and spacious Airon-edited external cockpit layouts, with a large C-shaped settee which becomes a sun-pad, and C-shaped dinette to port side with galley and helm station opposite have been the success of the smaller Airon Marine models, and using a similar layout in the larger Cinquanta Sport makes a lot of sense.  Inside this first Cinquanta Sport offers a three double cabins layout, with a master suite forward, and two guest cabins at midships, a spacious L-shaped galley in between.  Like the hard-top Cinquanta the Airon Marine Cinquanta Sport is powered by twin Volvo 480hp with IPS pod drives.

New Model: Airon Marine 50 Cinquanta

In the Spring of 2021 Airon Marine of Paolo Molinari launched its new 50 Cinquanta model.  A traditional open sport yacht and currently Airon flagship, the 50 Cinquanta comes as an update to the 4800 T-Top model, with the main visible difference outside; integrated hull windows now serving the lower deck.  But other difference in hull one of the 50 Cinquanta, was for an open main deck without patio door, and a more traditional three cabins lower deck with forward owners cabin.  Considering Airon Marine of offering a tailor made build and various options to buyers, the 4100 series is for example offered in four lower and three main deck layouts, these might be other options along the previous 4800 layouts.  The Airon 50 Cinquanta is powered by twin Volvo 480hp with IPS pod propulsion, no speed data is yet provided.

Project: Airon Marine 5400 T-Top

With a project for a new 5400 T-Top flagship Airon Marine shows that after the difficult times which surrounded the Italian nautical industry of past years, the last months have been glimmering a light at the end of the tunnel.  May be it is a sign of things to come by Airon Marine headed by Paolo Molinari and his sons, but this is an interesting sports yacht and new flagship from the Lake Como boat builder.  The 5400 T-Top is a three double cabins sport yachts with the usual propulsion and semi custom versatility associated with Airon in all its range from the smaller to the larger of models. Main feature of the Airon Marine will be a lower deck dedicated to a galley located at port side, and three double cabins all with own private shower head.  Main owners room is a full beam midships located suite, with toilet and shower duties located to port side.  A crew cabin is located at midships in between the owners cabin and engine room.  Up top in a fully enclosed or open enivorment will be a layout offering a C-shape dinette and chaise lounge to port, with helm station and a second galley to starboard.  Aft deck will feature a dinette with opposing settees which can transform to a sun-pad if lowering the table.  Tender stowage will be in an aft garage. Engine choices will come all from Volvo from twin 900hp on line shafts, or 626hp and 725hp with IPS pod propulsion.

New Model: Airon Marine 4500 T-Top

Airon Marine presents its new 4500 T-Top, a new second in size model which sits in between the 2009 introduced 4800 and the successful 4300 T-Tops.  The 4500 T-Top is a new design from Airon offering new comforts, sharing but shorter in length with that of the 4800 model.  The Airon 4500 T-Top living is all concentrated on the main deck protected by the fully enclosed hard top, which when desired opens all from the patio door, sunroof, and side windows.  Down below the 4500 T-Top is offered in two options.  The first is a two cabins layout with full beam midships owners room, VIP suite to fore, and lower L-shaped relaxing settee.  The other choice is a more family orientated layout, offering three double cabins two heads, and an L-shaped galley to starboard.  The owners room in this case is moved to fore.  Power is from twin Volvo 400 or 435hp.  The lower power unit is offered only in stern drive with the second with Volvo's IPS forward looking dual propeller pods.

Project: Airon Marine 4500 T-Top

Airon Marine from Lake Come in Italy, presents the project of the new 4500 T-Top, what I imagine to be a replacement model of the successful 4300 T-Top, first of the hard top series from the North Italian builder.  So far Airon has provided this exterior rendering which features a very family feeling to the other bigger or smaller boats of the Lake Como builder, with a lot of similarities to the latest launch, the 4800 T-Top flagship.  A standard internal plan of three cabins, which sleeps six below is being offered.  But an option of two large cabins sleeping four is also available.  Various different plans are also available to what concerns the main deck as is in the end the tradition from Airon Marine, who have a very custom approach in this size, but also in its builds above the 345.  Power choice available is from twin Volvo 400 or 435hp in IPS pods or stern drive choice.  But even here I will imagine more engine options and shafts to be available.

Airon Marine will head to the fall 2010 boat show season with the new 4100 T-Top model, an evolution of the 400 T-Top presented in 2008.  The new 4100 T-Top features design changes mostly covering the stern area which now has one large massive storage compartment which opens from the middle, and features a telescopic mail-box type passarelle in the passage way to starboard, replacing the previous central location.  The 4100 T-Top will feature a standard five berths single shower head interior, with options for four other lower deck layout choice which go to a two heads and no lower saloon version.  Other changes have also been made to the cockpit deck, which now has a larger exterior galley located to starboard behind the helm station, and a C-shaped settee, which can be ordered as a dinette, or in L-shape with an entertainment unit.  The Airon 4100 T-Top can also be ordered with a patio door splitting the main deck.  The Airon 4100 T-Top is powered from twin Volvo from 300 up to 370hp, in pods or stern drive propulsion choice.

Improve-it = Airon Marine 388

Airon Marine is offering a new lower deck plan to its successful 388 model. In the new plans for the 388 the Lake Como boat builder has given the possibility to order a twin shower head version. The space of the second guest shower head is taken by advancing the aft cabin bulkhead, and from the dinette settee which in this version looses a bit of seating space and changes to an L-shaped versus a C-shaped of the standard lower deck plan. With this version you still get the much appreciated three berth mid-ship cabin. The twin head option has been long advanced by many customers who value privacy of utmost importance, and as usual to the Airon philosophy the Lake Como boat builder made its clients requests and wishes come true.

Below is also a galley, and an L-shaped saloon. Power is from twin petrol or diesel engines up to a max combined 500hp.

New Model: Airon Marine 4800 T-Top

Paolo Molinari Airon Marine present the 4800 T-Top, first and smaller model of the two big boat projects presented at the start of this year 2009. The new 4800 T-Top replaces the A47, and is also the new current flagship of the Airon Marine line of 14 models. Designed in house and in the family by Paolo Molinari responsible for the hull, and son Tommaso who did the super structure, the 4800 T-Top has a family feeling with the latest introduced models from the Como boat builder as the 4300 T-Top first of the new generation hard top models, and 400 T-Top introduced last year. As the smaller Airon boats flexibility and variations of the internal layouts is key to this project, which can be offered with a two, three or four cabins, one or two galleys, and one or two saloon interior plans. The standard plan is a three cabin layout with full beam owners stateroom, VIP suite to fore, double bunk guest cabin, two galleys, and a C-shaped saloon on the main deck. The two cabin version replaces the third bunk cabin with a second lower deck C-shaped saloon. Needless to say this is impressive and here the Molinari designers are surely taking the full benefits of the IPS propulsion as never seen before. Speeds are also in line with similar sized models with the IPS600 forward looking dual propeller Volvo pods at 435hp each, propelling the 4800 T-Top to top speeds of 35 knots.

Improve-it = Airon Marine 4300 T-Top

Airon Marine shows further improvements to its 4300 T-Top, the Lake Como first hard-top model which was introduced to much success in the fall of 2005. After introducing a patio door to the 4300 T-Top at the start of last season, now Paolo Molinari adds an extra view glazed window for both mid-ships cabins. This integrated moulded in view hull window adds visibility to the mid ship cabins and according to Airon Marine allows a huge amount of natural light inside, along with direct external views from the cabins. The first unit to have this new mid ship cabin window was sold to a Greek client, who also featured an unedited black hull. Airon Marine also said that the interiors of this 4300 T-Top, like all its made to order builds is personalized and customized as the wishes for this young Greek owner.

Project: Airon Marine 4800 T-Top

PowerYachtBlog presented this Airon Marine project earlier on this year, with the project named 48 Top Class. Now Airon sends us more information of the now renamed 4800 T-Top, what will be the new flagship of Paolo Molinari boat yard, who present the rendering after careful researches and studies of the design office bearing in mind the previous experiences of competing boats in a similar size, and customer feed back. The efficient bottom conceived by Paolo Molinari couples the deck studied by Tommaso Molinari. In spite of dimensions, the 4800 T-Top maintains the style characteristics of Airon Marine. The wide hard top perfectly integrates with the rest of the boat by creating flowing and well proportioned lines. The big hull mid ship window, as well as a series of four consecutive portholes at the bow are characteristic which distinguish the 4800 T-Top. A long air intake characterises the deck side while the hard top with opening roof is characterised by wide windows and the refined details. The lower part window of the hard top opens too for fresh air. The stern has a wide teak rear deck with the ladder on both sides. Really wide and enjoyable is the cockpit with teak floor, to which it is possible to access to the side decks from both sides. As soon as you go up you find the stern sofa with its electric table. Under there is a wide tender compartment with electrically lifting door garage. By opening the glass patio door you enter under the hard top where you find, beside to the steering post, deckchair, sofa and a galley. The Airon 4800 T-Top interior, which is another result of the shipyard design office, has been thought to be different and customized to function to the owner tastes and requirements, offering a two, three or four cabin versions. The 4800 T-Top will be powered by twin Volvo IPS600 of 435hp each, which the builder estimates will reach a top speed of 35 knots.
