New Model: Rivera 4400 Sport Yacht Series II

Since the introduction of the Sport Yacht series by Rivera in 2005, I have always considered this line a close to perfect boat, in terms of layout, looks, and practicality.  The key in the Riviera Sport Yacht line, is that it never over does in all departments.  The looks are conservative with a homage to sportfish, accommodation is superb but most of all practical and very socializing, and performance together with consumptions are always in line.  The 4400 Sport Yacht Series II improves on the original version introduced in 2007 since then delivered in seventy plus units, most notably are modern enhancement with influences coming from the line flagship the 5800, see coach roof design,  new large lean lower deck window from fore to midships servicing all cabins and heads.  The interior is little changed in the new Series II with a lower deck having two cabins served by two heads with a midships room now increased in headroom sleeping three.  The main deck is all about living with the open all pivoting door and window join the interior C-shaped saloon and L-shaped galley with the aft cockpit.  The aft deck has also a choice to have a mezzanine settee to port side. Another choice available for the Series II is also the option of having a settee on the bathing platform to aft.  Power for the 4400 Sport Yacht Series II is the same as the original version with twin Volvo 370 or 435hp with hull specifically designed for the IPS pod units.  Speed with the large engine option is a 32 knots max speed, three knots less to what the first generation of this model actually did of which I can fully confirm having actually tested one in the Med with quite high sea and land temperatures, which is always means a decrease for top speed numbers.
