Projects: Opera 70, Opera 53

Opera is a South Italian builder producing large Rib yachts from 16 to 23 metres. Its first model the Opera 60 launched in 2007 and presented officially in 2008 has been a huge success to the company and after this it is preparing the presentation of two other models the 53 and 70. Shown up here is the Opera 70, the new flagship of the Opera range, which the company taking note from the automotive industry calls also S.U.V. Sport Utility Vessel. The 70 will measure a staggering 23 metre, overall length and will also have a 3 cabin 2 head interior plus 1 crew cabin. Surprising for the new Opera model is the power options which can go from the small engine choice of twin 600hp up to a high performance twin 2200hp. The new Opera 53 will be the entry level model for this Italian builder. At 16 metres, the 53 looks similar to the successful 60 model, offering similar spaces too albeit in a smaller size. Inside the Opera 53 will offer an overnight stay accommodation, with a 4 berth single head open space loft style cabin. Power options goes from smaller twin 200hp up t0 480hp. Surprising numbers are the maximum 35 people certification, the CE A rating category, and the classification which gives all weather capability and unsinkable rating.
