New Model: Viking 82 Cockpit Motor Yacht

Viking capitalize on the success of the 75 Motor Yacht, and move forward by launching its second yacht model with the 82 Cockpit Motor Yacht.  The new Viking 82 Cockpit Motor Yacht provides a seamless transition from a luxurious super yacht to a blue-water fisherman creating the ideal platform for tournament fishing one day and heading on a three week vacation the next. This platform has been forgotten in recent years by the US boater but was popular in the eighties and nineties. The ten square meter cockpit is what marks the difference between the 82 model versus the 75, and this accessed from dual staircases on the after deck featuring an inviting arena for fishing, diving, paddle boarding and other fun water activities. Outfitted with a comely observation mezzanine topped with comfortable cushions, it is bound to be the choice gathering spot for family and guests to relax and enjoy their days on the water.  A three meter wide lounge molded into the mezzanine features a trove of useful amenities. Port and starboard stowage compartments serve as tackle and gear wells, and an engine-room access door is built into mezzanine backrest. A companionway leads into the crew quarters. Chill boxes for drinks and bait are located in the port and starboard staircases. A molded transom fish-box doubles as a convenient stowage bin for masks, fins and other dive gear. A walk-through transom door with a lift gate complements the molded teak planked swim platform. On the main deck, sophisticated styling merges with sociability. Forward and aft deck lounges capture the outdoor spirit. Inside the yacht the a climate controlled environment is standard finished in walnut wood, where a formal salon and casual dining areas, and a world class galley set a relaxing mood. Below, four appointed staterooms serve the owner and his guests, including an amazing full beam master suite.  Available with an open bridge or an enclosed bridge, hull one was launched with the first, each version demonstrates a path to different uses. The open bridge layout is all about the great outdoors with a center helm station forward flanked with casual seating areas. Abaft the helm, a family size dinette, and a wet bar with refrigeration, a sink and an electric grill get the party started. Further aft there is a sun pad, room for lounge chairs, and a teak planked staircase to the lower after deck. The climate controlled enclosed bridge showcases an impressive helm layout and a lounge area aft creating the atmosphere of a second salon with plush seating an entertainment center. A sliding glass door opens to the aft deck with available lounges, a wet bar and dinghy stowage.
