Jeanneau New Web Site

Jeanneau the French builder part of the Beneteau Group since 1995 presents its new World Wide web showroom. Founded independently in 1959 by Henri Jeanneau, who followed his passion for airplanes, and automobiles with that of boats. Henri showed this with racing when in 1957 he won the Paris six hours race with a custom wooden built boat in Les Herbiers. 1961 sees the debut of the Jeanneau powerboat, the Calanque which had frigate lines and a wooden construction. This was followed with the first fiberglass build in the same year; and the introduction of a line of models sold over one thousand units as the; Squale, Lion de Mer, and Caraibe. Bigger sizes of motor boats also followed with Jeanneau launching the 900 Imperator in 1966. Jeanneau entered the sail boat market in 1964, and this was followed with the launching in 1970 of its most ever sold boat the Sangria delivered in over 2700 units. Today Jeanneau builds 46 different models in Sailboat, Inboard, Outboard lines which total thirteen ranges which start from the 4.7 Cap Camarat Center Console, and end with 64 Yacht. The Powerboat Inboard range features three lines; Leader, NC, and Velasco.
