Project: Evo R4 XT

Technology, design and a desire to experiment with new ways of experiencing the sea, these are the ingredients in Evo R4 XT, the latest addition to the Evo Yachts fleet. The new thirteen metre yacht is the result of collaboration between Blu Emme Yachts, Besenzoni and designer Valerio Rivellini, three protagonists in the sector who stand for high-adrenaline performance, technological excellence and unprecedented design solutions, all promises that Evo R4 XT fulfils in every way. The Evo R4 XT is the world’s only sport walkaround to be fitted with a totally custom multifunction stern platform, developed by Besenzoni exclusively for the shipyard based on a design by Valerio Rivellini. In addition to increasing the boat’s length by a whole metre, this transformer tender lift enables the entire length of the stern platform to dip fully underwater.  Excluding the changes in the stern the XT will keep the similar layout of the R4 inside and outside and is powered by Volvo stern drive or IPS pod propulsion up to a to a total of 870hp.

New Model: Back Cove 372

After selling over two hundred units in an eleven year production, Back Cove decided that it was time to update the 37 model with some important changes, enters the new 372 launched in 2021.  These changes are mostly technical, with little to make of the two models outside.  Still since designation was change I would have made something differentiating the two models, like offering new windows in order to distinct the 372 from the previous 37.  The changes made are an update to the electrical system, window liner, new opening for the side windows, reconfigured shower-head, and helm station redesign.  The Back Cove 372 now also comes standard powered with Cummins 600hp and or Volvo with the same output.  Hull one of the Back Cove 372 was powered by Volvo 600hp and reached top speeds of thirty knots.

Project: Tankoa T450

Tankoa Yachts is proud to announce that the first hull of its all new 45-metre superyacht, the T450, has been sold to a North American client. Built in steel and aluminium, the exterior design of the T450 by Giorgio M. Cassetta is in line with the brand’s timeless styling, but adds a bold vertical element to the superstructure and very well balanced horizontal lines, which lends the project a timeless and sober elegance. Giorgio Cassetta will be also responsible for the modern interior design which will be perfectly in line with the needs of a young owner and his family. Introduced to the Genova super yacht shipyard by Boumer Jousma and Vittoria Santarone of Italian Yacht Group in Ft Lauderdale, the client for this first unit requested many customisations that emphasise the flexibility of the platform. These include much larger windows on the main deck and a longer upper deck salon, which raised the gross tonnage from 435GT to 450GT to provide more interior volume, all without really affecting the finely balanced proportions of the yacht. Standout features include: a huge master suite forward on main deck and open-air cinema in aft cockpit; five guest suites on the lower deck and a generous beach club in the stern; an upper deck with dedicated gym as well as a fire pit on the foredeck; and a spacious sundeck with glass-walled jacuzzi and shaded dining for a full complement of guests.  Tankoa T450 is scheduled for a 2023 delivery.

New Model: Galeon 410 HTC

Galeon 410 HTC is the latest model from the GdaƄsk shipyard, which entered mass production at the start of 2021. This 410 HTC is a hard top sport cruiser, based on the hull lines of the 400 Fly, and its proven and award-winning solutions like the appreciated opening balconies. This 410 HTC distinguishes itself from the 400 Fly by a more sporty and dynamic silhouette with a panoramic glass and electric sunroof enhances the feeling of freedom and contact with nature. The 410 HTC welcomes guests in the living room through a four section folding doors, with the interior surprising with the design of furniture with visible solid wood inlays, showing the craftsmanship, accuracy and skills of Galeon carpenters. Here we find a lot of thoughtful solutions such as cabinets, lockers and among others, a hidden electric pull-out TV. On the starboard side there is a main place to rest with a dining table, a large U-shaped sofa and a convertible sofa, which can be easily and quickly moved to the cockpit, thus enlarging and integrating the lounge space with the external cockpit. In the living room section on the left, on the platform, there is a galley fully equipped with household appliances. The induction hob is located right next to the window, which makes it easier to ventilate the kitchen space. On the right is the helm station  position with a large comfortable and adjustable sofa. The spacious dashboard allows for comfortable and ergonomic placement of many modern electronic devices based on communication through large LCD displays. A rather uncommon feature in a boat this size is the wide-opening door to starboard side by the helm station, enabling easy access to the side-deck. The solution is for reasons of safety and comfort appreciated by anyone who has ever tried to dock alone. Below the deck, in the sleeping area, accessed by arched stairs, there are two comfortable cabins with adjoining bathrooms. Each bathroom has a separate glass shower. Galeon 410 HTC is one of the few twelve meter sport cruisers with a midships master cabin featuring a large full-sized bed in the middle, a large number of cabinets, lockers, and a sofa or a make-up corner. The whole interior is decorated with a beautifully illuminated stylish head above the bed. Here, too, you can see bent elements of decorative wooden panels and semi-circular finishes. The VIP cabin at the bow has an option of a sliding bed, which makes it possible to create separate berths on the sides. The interior of the Galeon 410 HTC is illuminated by multiple points, thanks to perfectly integrated ceiling ambient and built-in LEDs. A multitude of choices and optionally adjustable dimming allow you to choose the right mood in the interior. In the stern part of the cockpit there is a wide L-shaped sofa with a multi-functional fold-out and adjustable table. There is an electrically adjustable awning above the seating area in the cockpit to provide protection from the sun or rain. In the back of the sofa there is an optional Wet Bar with a grill, sink, ice container and cutting board. The bar is accessible from the  bathing platform, which can be hydraulically lowered on request. In the bow part of the deck there is a sun deck with sunbathing mattresses with the solution of a folding two-seater sofa, standard equipment at the bow tip of the 410 HTC.  The Galeon 410 HTC is powered by twin Volvo 270hp up 440hp engines with stern drives or IPS pods propulsion.

Project: Otam 58 GTS

The Otam 55 and later renamed as 58 has always been a best-seller, but the 26th hull in build at the Genoese shipyard appropriately named ‘Bad Boys’ takes the iconic design a step further.  Restyled by Giuseppe Bagnardi of BG Design Firm in Rome, the new-look 58 GTS takes the sporty DNA we all expect in an Otam yacht and ratchets it up a notch!  The updated exterior styling offers a semi-open deckhouse with a sharply raked windscreen and wraparound glazing for the en-plein air feel of a true open combined with the protection from the sun and wind of a hardtop. It also provides a more aerodynamic profile and less turbulence for better performance and more onboard comfort at high speed.  Integrated into the hardtop are two air intakes; another two are positioned to port and starboard on the foredeck that funnel air directly into the aft engine compartment underneath the two large sun-pads either side of the central walkway. These can be raised hydraulically for easy access to the engines and other equipment.  The covered cockpit is equipped with a bar unit, corner sofa and a comfortable ding area.  The swim platform and exhaust grilles in the transom have also been redesigned with the latter now integrated and disguised in the nameplate.  Like all Otam yachts, the 58 GTS is built for speed and lives up to its ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ suffix: powered by twin MTU 1825hp engines coupled to ASD14 Arneson surface drives, it has a top speed of 55 plus knots and cruises comfortably at 48 knots.  What hasn’t changed is the high-performance hull form by Tagliavini Marine Design, built using a mix of Aramat and vinylester resin to guarantee total safety and high comfort even at high speed in rough seas.  As with all Otam products, customisation is key and the 58 GTS is being built to the specific brief of her owner, who has also requested a bespoke Böning console for the pilot station.  Below deck, the Otam 58 GTS features two ensuite double cabins, an open-space galley and third single cabin with bathroom for an extra guest or crew member.  The lamination of a second hull is already complete and can be delivered within eight months of sale. The first Otam 58 GTS ‘Bad Boys’ is due to make her debut at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Greenline New Web Site

Greenline from Slovenia updates its new virtual showroom to a new platform. Greenline was founded in 2007, when its owners the Seaway Group started developing what will be the first model of the range the 33. Before actually starting production the first Greenline, a lot of thinking went into research and design similar to that of an innovative car with designers JandJ developing four different hull geometries, and studying various hybrid, batteries and solar power solution. In 2008 Volkswagen Marine joins the project in order to develop a hybrid-electrical diesel power. In the fall of 2008 the first prototype was developed, with tooling of the first model being ready in 2009 and first six production test models being produced. These models where tested in a variety of conditions in several European countries, Mediterranean, North Sea, large lakes, rivers, and canals of Northern and Southern Europe. Greenline has sold over 120 units of the 33 in the first year; today delivered in over 550 units and received a total of eight awards.  Today Greenline offers nine models based on sustainability; starting from 33, and going up to the 68 OC, with its latest project being the upcoming 58 Fly. Project: Arksen 85

Arksen is a new British company focused on building semi-custom and custom explorer and super yachts from twenty to about 28 meters.  Arksen have currently two 85s in build, with a range which offers three models from 65 to this 85.  Beside a lot of Google advertising there seems to be a lot of genuine good effort in Arksen to provide something fresh to the market, with building coming from Wight shipyard a commercial fast ferry builder located in the Isle of Wight, hull design coming from Humphreys, and looks and interior layout coming from Design Unlimited.  The Arksen 85 will offer a three to four double cabins layout, with a main deck choice for a forward owners cabin.  A crew cabin for two is located forward on the lower deck.  Arksen 85 is powered by twin 330hp engines which allow for a top speed of fourteen knots, a fast cruise of twelve, and a nine knots 7000 nautical mile long range cruise.
