New Model: Horizon V68

Horizon has launched the new V68, which surprises for its large yacht features ingeniously fitted within a manageable owner/operator framework.  Named in project stages as V67, the V68 was created in collaboration with world-renowned designer Jonathan Quinn Barnett and has been planned throughout with spacious accommodations, wide side decks, and a voluminous interior based on six meter wide beam that takes advantage of large windows in the main deck and cabins. The Horizon V68 offers a flexible three or four stateroom layout, with optional crew quarters aft, as well as various configurations for all three decks including open and enclosed bridge. The V68’s plumb bow design, a striking feature from Stimson Yachts hull design allows for a longer waterline and reduces drag at lower, displacement speeds; the larger hull beam also makes for greater stability when it counts most, at slow speeds. Ideal for first or second-time buyers, families and owner/operators, the Horizon V68 provides the qualities of a superyacht with a safety, solid architecture, and customization all in under 21 meter size.  The Horizon V68 is powered by twin Cats 1136hp engines.

Following the debut of its sister model, the Fly 520, at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show last November, this beautiful new sport yacht is designed for maximum flow of natural light, creating a seamless yachting experience and maximum onboard enjoyment.  The Sundancer 520 features sophisticated new styling, ample windows and contemporary materials, which all contribute to the bright, sunlit aesthetic. Interior features offer new wood selections, which are expertly crafted and grain-matched throughout to elevate the overall visual appeal. The entirety of the yacht is geared toward effortless entertaining and luxurious livability.  Innovative design is apparent in the cockpit, where Sea Ray’s ingenious seating solution creates maximum versatility. The aft lounge seat, with convertible backrest, slides forward and aft to form multiple configurations, facing into the cockpit from the aft position or brought forward to overlook the swim platform. An optional transom gourmet station adds a grill and large storage drawer, further enhancing sociability. A large lazarette can be accessed from the swim platform, making it easy to stow water toys and gear. At night, upgraded lighting designs create a compelling environment.  Inside, the main level salon is accessible from the cockpit through a wide, stainless steel framed door. The salon’s convenient galley aft layout provides a hub for both inside and outside entertaining. Premium amenities in the galley include stainless steel drawer style refrigerator/freezers, solid surface counter-tops with sink and faucet, and abundant storage. Forward of the galley, the salon encourages relaxation with plush opposing sofas and a standard TV, which rises to provide an exceptional viewing experience. The helm station ensures confident command, with touch sensitive switch panels and a full suite of the latest Raymarine electronics. Two richly appointed lower level staterooms treat guests and owners alike to luxurious accommodations with abundant storage. Aft is the full-beam master stateroom, which creates an inviting escape, complete with a private head and entertainment features. Like the salon, this space maintains a great connection with the outdoors thanks to large hull windows. Forward, the guest stateroom includes a queen bed and access to the guest head. A lower seating area is featured starboard with a hull side window, opposed seating and a table. Owners can opt for a third stateroom in this space that features twin bunks and additional storage.  The yacht makes full use of exterior spaces as well, including an expansive bow lounging area with room to relax while enjoying music. An optional sun shade can be added.  In terms of performance the Sea Ray Sundancer 520 is powered by twin Cummins 600hp engines coupled to Zeus dual propeller aft looking pod drives propulsion with joystick control and Skyhook Station keeping and automatic hydraulic trim tabs that enable operating the yacht with ease. To build on a great hull form, an infused hull and advanced lamination structures support the performance needs of modern boaters. Further enhancing the outstanding ride quality and handling, which Sea Rays are known for, the Sundancer 520 can be equipped with an optional gyro-stabilization system.  Manufactured in Palm Coast, Florida, at Sea Ray’s state-of-the-art facility, the Sundancer 520 reflects superior craftsmanship and attention to detail.  For instance, in the engine room, a white finish, superior routings and plenty of service room make this boat a breeze to maintain. The electrical system features easy-to-access breakers and an innovative touch-sensitive switching system at the helm, making the systems intuitive to use and providing the highest level of durability.

New Model: Nordhavn N100

Pacific Asian Enterprises, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of its newest super yacht, a 100-foot Nordhavn. Named Serenity the new Nordhavn N100 is a luminary and representative of the new reaches of excellence PAE has achieved with its most recent launches. Based on the hull of the Nordhavn 86/96, this newest expedition yacht is a dream for her avid fisherman-owner who wanted a yacht with a proper sportfishing cockpit capable of taking him to the most productive fishing spots in the world.  The lines of the new N100 are unmistakably Nordhavn, with the same elegant look found in the classic profile of the N96. The model met the buyer’s wishes for a global cruising yacht with world class construction, performance and finish. But he wanted a proper sport fishing cockpit that wouldn’t interfere with guest lounging spaces.  PAE’s design team went to work on devising a space separate from the California deck, the designated outdoor entertaining area aft of the saloon. The addition of the fishing cockpit is courtesy of an extended transom and swim step that extended the length.  While the N86 and N96 models interior is highly custom to an owners vision, N100 differs vastly from the smaller sister-ships with a very unique layout that the owner helped design in order to achieve enough staterooms for his family and sufficient quarters for crew. The result is a five-stateroom retreat, each with en-suite head, plus accommodations for a crew of four.  Destry Darr Designs created a modern, elegant and comfortable living space that features walnut wood, stainless steel inlays, Lutron lighting and extraordinary stone work. The medium-dark colored wood sets off a neutral color scheme of grey, cream and brown and allows the vibrant artwork throughout the boat to stand out.  Her distinct hull color is a regal Stars and Stripes blue.  While the longer waterline gives Serenity a slight edge in efficiency over the N96, says Chief of Design Jeff Leishman, speed and fuel capacity won’t vary from a typical Nordhavn 96 in spite of the increased length.  Built at South Coast Yacht Marine, Nordhavn N100 is being prepared to be shipped to PAE headquarters in Dana Point, CA, for final commissioning in March.
