Project: Summit 62 Motoryacht

Kadey-Krogen new planning yachts brand continues to expand and after the 54 model, presents the project for an upcoming 62 Motoryacht model.  The Summit 62 Motoryacht just like its smaller sister comes again from a design of Michael Peters, who presented a practical conservative looking flybridge yacht with a three double cabins three heads layout. Like the 54 before it, and unusual from Michael Peters, the Summit 62 will have a planning Vee with central keel, which closes to a flat angle aft.  A very large owners stateroom will be located at midships with a walk-in wardrobe and a shower head to port side.  The living on the main deck is to be offered with an astern galley layout, with a dinette opposite the galley, and a relaxing couch on the raised part of the split level main deck.  The Summit 62 Motoryacht is to be standard powered by twin Volvo 1000hp on shafts, with options coming for the same engines with IPS pod drives propulsion, and or Cats 1000hp.  Estimated top speeds are for up to 32 knots.

New Model: Riviera 4600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition

Presented in the fall of 2022, the Riviera 4600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition comes as a replacement to the 4800 after five years in production.  Even though called the 4600 she is in reality a bit longer and wider to the outgoing model.  The new 4600 Sport Yacht comes straight out with the luxurious refinement of the Platinum Edition, a feature Rivera introduced in 2019 for the Sport Yacht range which today features three models.  The 4600 Sport Yacht welcomes you aboard the generous hydraulic swim platform, which is followed by a garage, designed to store a range of water sports equipment under the cockpit and can be accessed through an electrically operated door.  A new entertainer's cockpit has been created with a wrap-around lounge across the transom and port side with a timber dining table, and a wet-bar with barbecue located to starboard.  The airy saloon flows to the cockpit through a sliding glass door and awning window. A fully equipped U-shape galley is located on the port side of the saloon space, immediately aft of the helm. A servery and bar unit are opposite. The plush dining space is forward on the starboard side, featuring a large timber table surrounded by a luxurious U-shape lounge that will seat up to six people.  The Riviera 4600 Sport Yacht provides three staterooms and two bathrooms on the light-filled accommodation deck including a full-beam master amidships featuring full head height, a central king size bed and large hull windows that fill the space with natural light.  A two cabin version is also available, replacing the bunk third cabins with a L-shaped lounging sofa.  The Rivera 4600 Sport Yacht is powered by twin Volvo 600hp, with IPS pod drives.  At launch she was offered with the smaller 480hp Volvos and IPS combo but Riviera has since then removed these engines as standard, and with the dry weight of nineteen tons this was a correct call.

Super Yacht Vandalized in Ancora Marina Germany

A 32 meter super yacht titled m/y Lady M III was spray painted as a protest by green activists on the nineteen June in Ancora Marina, Neustadt, located in the North of Germany on the Baltic sea to the East of Hamburg.  The activists Letze Generation which translates to Last Generation filmed the activity on social media platforms and wrote a post for policy change against excess in consumption by the super rich.
While everyone has a right to protest in liberal democracies, this is a total wrong way of passing a message.  Probably the emissions generated by all yachts all around the World is less to point zero one per cent, and this is just a stupid way to make a show out of nothing.
M/y Lady M III is a 1994 Moonen 105 designed by Mulder.   While she is the only Moonen 105 build, she had a similar design to the smaller Moonen 83 which sold in five units, and the 80 and 89 one off units.
