New Model: Luhrs 30 Open

Luhrs presents the new Thirty Open an entry level Sportfish Cruiser, able to offer good performance and comfortable accommodations for its size. Fishing amenities are shown in the wide beam offering stability, the Carolina flare which keeps water away, and a raised bridge deck with sunshade giving optimal visibility. Luhrs also present the 30 Open with a long list of standards, that in this size are usually optional, of which surely the most surprising item is the custom welded aluminum tower with hardtop. Smart design coming from bigger boats also make the 30 Open stand out, like a good deck moving capability, and easy access to all service points, this including the engine room. Below is also a modern interior combining comfort, versatility and durability into one very livable package. You'll appreciate the common sense layout V-shaped settee to fore, galley and shower head on entrance. Finishing is vertical grain for the cabinetry and Grey Corian counter tops. The V-shaped saloon dual settee converts easily into four individual berths to provide plenty of sleep space. Inside is also a six large rods and reels store. Power is from twin Yanmar 260hp engines.

New Model: Luhrs 37 IPS Canyon Series

Presented during the recent Fort Lauderdale show, Luhrs 37 Open IPS is the first in the Canyon Series from the American builder, combining serious offshore features found only in larger, traditional shaft driven sportfish boats with the speed, versatility and low noise of the IPS propulsion. Twin Volvo Penta IPS 500 or the larger IPS 600 power the boat , giving the advantage of this modern propulsion which put you on the plane easily, gives more speed and generates less noise than comparable inboard drives. The forward berth is outfitted with a center line queen island bed that folds to provide additional salon seating. Storage is plentiful throughout. A professional interior designer was retained to create an upscale interior utilizing custom fabrics throughout the spacious area. When its comes to power, Volvos 500 IPS system is offered for the latest in advanced propulsion, giving you better fuel economy with less noise and exhaust than comparable traditional inboards. Fishing features that are expensive options on most boats are also standard on the 37 Open, including a tower, bait prep centers with live well and tackle storage, fresh and saltwater wash downs, and even the rod holders.
