New Model: Riva 66 Ribelle

With a crafted marketing campaign which started at the Miami boat show in February 2018 and teased design details as the stretched sloop stern and the topsides profile followed by the name Ribelle which translated means Rebel, the new Riva 66 was the rumor of speculation for change from the most famous and legendary of boat builders.  Will the Riva 66 Ribelle present new revolutions to the most iconic name in pleasure boat building.  Fast forward to seven months later and the unveiling at Cannes 2018 and the Riva 66 Ribelle is not the revolution we where led to believe, but more an evolution of the species, especially to the 76 Perseo which launched in 2015, and this new model following its sport bridge element in a smaller three meter size.  None the less do not be mistaken the 66 Ribelle is a very beautiful machine and possible one of the nicer designs to have appeared in Cannes 2018.  Mauro Micheli for his latest Riva creation as usual shows his mastery to integrate modern elements with classic inspiration, with the long fore-deck and low superstructure being important details of the Riva 66 Ribelle marvelous lines.  Coming to this it becomes noticeable that the Ribelle follows a theme of less obvious innovative elements, from the new Blue Sapphire hull color outside, to the choice and use of classic mahogany wood for the interior furnishings, matched with detailed contributions from Penelopeoggi and Mastrotto for the leathers, and Redaelli for bedding and pillows. As layout go the Riva 66 Ribelle presents a three double cabins interior with a galley located below, and a living on the main deck which opens up to the aft deck.  Interesting details is the important height of 2.05 meters for both the midships located owner stateroom and the living area of the main deck.  The Riva 66 Ribelle is powered by twin Man 1550hp engines which reach wide open throttle speeds up to 37 knots.
