The Manhattan 68 will enjoy an expansive cockpit, main saloon area with sumptuous lounge seating and a fully-equipped aft galley. The innovative and meticulous design that has gone into the layout of the main deck makes this the perfect boat for welcoming guests; with a strong focus on ambient lighting and interior detailing. From the generous saloon and upper aft galley, through to elevated companion seating at the helm, this exceptional layout allows the owner and guests to move effortlessly between spaces. Interestingly, where a lower galley is specified, the space can be utilized as an additional saloon ‘snug’ or feature bar, seamlessly integrating with the main living space.  The interiors will boast exquisite attention to detail with a new palate of upholstery that provides a cool, crisp and contemporary look.  New stainless steel detailing contrasts perfectly with light fabrics, helping to create a floating, and seemingly unsupported backrest to the seating throughout this space. The saloon is drenched by light thanks to the panoramic glazing whilst the lighting design has been exceptionally well considered throughout and includes concealed lighting within ceiling panels and furniture. Owners can select from four lighting and entertainment scenes such as Movie, Party or Night modes; with a one-touch activation from a central Videoworks control app. The different scenes create a distinct ambiance depending on the time of day and mood. The combination of all these elements give the Manhattan 68 a truly restful setting suitable for family relaxation yet easily transformable for impressive entertaining.  To port in the saloon, the Manhattan 68 benefits from private access to the full-beam master stateroom, a real standout feature with full height headroom and optional chaise, sofa, storage or breakfast table. There is also beautiful use of wood in this area utilizing a sublime blend of finishes such as Wenge Satin, Silver Oak, Smoked Eucalyptus and Walnut. In the standard configuration with galley positioned on the main deck, there is ample space for four cabins below including two large twin cabins and a forward VIP suite. The flybridge has been designed with an integrated hard-top option in mind and features large forward sunbathing areas and a second helm. It also offers extensive seating with open space for freestanding furniture customized to the owner’s choice. The wet bar has been designed for multiple uses and now includes built-in storage, BBQ and refrigeration options to create the focus for yet another social and entertaining space.  This sociable layout continues through to the wide bathing platform which features Sunseeker’s innovative ‘Beach Club’ to bring guests closer to the water. The Beach Club’s hydraulic door opens to reveal an overhead rain-shower, lights and speakers, and provides storage for fenders, toys, scuba and sports equipment. The area is equipped with an optional fold-away bench seat, and Seabob storage lockers adjacent to the water, complete with built-in charging points. The substantial bathing platform is suitable for launching a jet tender up to four meters.  The twin berth crew cabin, with private access through the transom, enjoys a dedicated en-suite and ample stowage. The Manhattan can be powered by Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod propulsion, Man 1000hp or 1200hp with line shafts.

Project: Aicon 66

Aicon yachts is back, having the brand recently been purchased by two American investors.  Aicon yachts was a success story which characterized the first decade of the second millennium 2001 to 2012, in particular for the 56 and 64 Fly models, and over four hundred boats delivered in a production stint which lasted about ten years, and featured ten models in sizes from 52 up to 85 feet. Aicon return comes from a new 66 designed by Sergio Cutolo, a motor yacht currently in advanced project stages. For Sergio this is not the first collaboration with Aicon having in the past collaborated with the Sicilian yacht builder.  The 66 project is inspired by the 64 which was by many revered as the best Aicon model in the ten year history of the brand.  The hull shape of the Aicon 66 is indeed a direct derivation from the 64 with improvements going in the underwater sections to create a drier ride.  Another feature of the Aicon 66 will also be for flexible interior layout solutions.

New Model: Viking 44 ST

Creating a model within a model has been a successful path for Viking as demonstrated by the 44 Convertible, Open, and Sport Cruiser variants, which share the same hull with uniquely different deck and interior arrangements. The popularity of these new models has encouraged Viking to expand more this theme with the new 44 Sport Tower.  Using Viking five-axis profiler, the new Jersey boat builder designed and built a plug and a female mold to create a rakish fiberglass deckhouse module, fully open to the cockpit while incorporating stylish convertible window lines and a roof overhang. Built into finely tool hardtop is a pair of easily accessed rod stowage compartments. Thanks to this the Viking 44 Sport Tower offers a sharp looking rig with its fitted Palm Beach Towers tuna tower. Engine room access is provided with a convenient center-line hatch that’s integral with the mezzanine seating. The ST is also engineered for the installation of a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer, which brings great stability to the vessel to increase overall comfort.  The command deck includes Viking signature and tournament-proven center-line forward helm station on a raised platform for enhanced visibility. The console holds a bank of electronics displays, and has space for engine instrumentation and other accessories. Recessed compartments accommodate radios and additional equipment, plus accessory switches and controls. A sliding off center companionway door and a large set of stairs with a starboard-side vertical handrail lead to the climate-controlled salon. With its just short of five meters beam, the widest of any boat in this class, the salon is a spacious social area for relaxing and entertaining. The starboard-side galley, which sits opposite an L-shaped lounge with a dinette table, includes teak cabinetry with meticulous joinery and fit and finish, expansive Corian counter tops, an electric range, separate under-counter refrigerator and freezer units and a microwave/convection oven. Other notable amenities include a stereo system with a 24-inch flat screen HD TV.  In the forward master stateroom, the island queen bed with mattress has a lift-up top with gas pistons and maple-lined storage underneath.
