New Model: Absolute 55 STY

A further evolution of the 53 STY this in synthesis the Absolute 55 STY, but the yacht apart having that extra ten centimeters in length offers much more then you think it is possible.  This happens because Absolute Research Lab revisit all the interior, and also the exterior layout by moving the galley on top and in the much praised astern position, thus reinventing and creating more space also below deck.  Thanks to this the 55 STY features a lower deck with a midships full beam owners stateroom, a VIP to fore, and a double guest cabin to starboard.  The aft deck of the 55 STY has also been reinvented now offering a sun pad, and a medium sized L-shaped settee to port side.  The 55 STY also offers more power options versus the 53 being offering with twin Volvo 600 and 700hp units alongside the two or three 435hp choices as offered in the smaller sister.

Project: Horizon P136

Horizon is pleased to announce the elevating of the successful P130 model to a new P136 that features an eight meters plus beam, six guest stateroom layout with additional crew and bulbous bow. The new P136 is currently the largest FRP hull that Horizon builds and offers enhanced performance with her bulbous bow, which helps reduce water and wave resistance, and improved interior volume due to her 445 gross tonnage and increased waterline length. Project: Riviera 565 SUV

Riviera’s design team are putting the finishing touches on the second model in the new SUV range, the sleek, stylish and spacious 565 SUV, which is due for release in May at the 2013 Riviera Festival of Boating, which is held to coincide with the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show. The 445 SUV was met with immediate popularity following its launch in August last year, and already eight having been sold internationally and around Australia.  Following this success Riviera was fast to present a larger 565 SUV project which bases its hull on that of the 53 Enclosed Flybridge. The new SUV range combines the performance blue water cruising abilities of the classic Flybridge with the fish raising abilities of the Offshore Express, and the single-level leisurely entertaining features of the popular Sport Yacht series, creating a vessel with a true bridge between all of these styles.  Featuring three cabins and two bathrooms, the new 565 SUV has a flexible accommodation plan with sleeping capacity from six to eight adults. The stately full-beam master suite features a king size island bed, large hull windows and optional opening port holes for cross ventilation, a walk-in robe, and lounge and television DVD player as standard.  The forward cabin has an optional layout with the choice of either a queen size island bed or a triple bunk bed arrangement.  The new 565 SUV has many clever design aesthetic features such as the sleek, low profile hardtop with two large manually sliding glass sunroof hatches, which bring an abundance of natural light and fresh air into the saloon. The large helm station to port has plenty of room for electronics including three display screens, controls and the Volvo joystick. There are four high-quality helm chairs, two of which swivel 180 degrees to face the saloon allowing occupants to join in the conversation in the saloon area. The saloon features an L-shaped lounge and dining area to port with storage below, on the starboard side is a three seat starboard side lounge. The aft galley, which features the most modern appliances with drawer refrigeration, convection microwave oven, optional drawer dishwasher, four plate cook top with extraction hood, top loading garbage bin, and soft close drawer runners for storage plus overhead storage lockers, and Corian bench tops throughout with infills over the sink allowing for extra bench space. A large awning window and glass sliding door opens the galley into the cockpit area, creating one large entertainment space.  A key design feature that sets this model apart is the expansive and uncluttered cockpit space with plenty of storage including, an insulated fish bin to starboard, plus clever storage inside the engine room hatch. The mezzanine seating to port also features a top loading refrigerated cool box under the seating. There is the option to have a barbecue centre in the transom with barbecue, sink, rubbish bin and storage or optional live bait tank or standard bin, as well as an optional hydraulic swim platform for a smaller tender.  Mr Ford said another clever design feature on this vessel was the full glass panel on the starboard side of the sliding door, which provides good visibility to both the transom corners from the helm.  The new 565 SUV’s décor gives a modern and contemporary feel. Hull two will show a new style interior design, which features two-pack painted finishes, satin American oak timber wall fabrics and timber flooring, which give a true Euro feel. Hull one however will feature a custom décor utilising Riviera’s traditional Cherry interior requested by the owner. The Riviera 565 SUV will be powered by twin Volvo 700hp with IPS pod drives propulsion delivering a cruise up to 25 knots and achieve top speeds of around 30 knots.

New Model: Monte Carlo MC5

It was without a doubt one of Dusseldorf most awaited World premiers, this is in short the Monte Carlo MC5.  This new MC5 aims to create a shorter bridge from current Beneteau motorboat owners, especially those in the Flyer line into the larger sized Monte Carlo range which spans currently up to 76 feet.  Designed as all the Monte Carlo brand series by Nuvolari Lenard the MC5 is characterized by latest trends in the interior and accommodation plan and hybrid exterior looks which put it them three styles; classic for the bow, sports for its low profile flybridge, and motor yacht.  A three double cabins plan, with a full beam owners stateroom characterize the lower deck.  A single berth crew cabin is located to aft.  The main deck is characterized by an astern galley as its main feature, and a saloon which can work as a relaxing lounge or dining area to port side of the helm.  Outside is all made in a well proportioned but one of the most innovative features is the wet bar and grill on the bathing platform.  Yes it is not the first time we see this but I think the MC5 manages to give it a new twist where we will see a couple of builders opting for this solution in the very near future.  Power is from twin Volvo 370 or optional 435hp with IPS pod drives.
