New Model: Vanquish VQ115 Veloce

Vanquish Yachts proudly presents the launch of the very first VQ115 at the shipyard in the Netherlands, the largest member of the VQ family as yet.  The VQ115 is one of the world’s fastest aluminium super sport yacht with conventional engines. To achieve the desired power output, Vanquish Yachts has installed three MTU 2650hp engines backed up by surface drives and a design that was taken as the starting point for this speed machine.  The narrow hull has been developed to optimize comfort and performance levels and increase efficiency at top speeds. Twin Seakeeper stabilizers will safeguard comfort at all speeds on this smart synthesis of a sport boat and luxury yacht. Outdoor entertainment options abound on the VQ115 Veloce with an expansive foredeck, large aft deck and flybridge sunbathing area.   A large tender bay will house a VQ16, lifted by a hydraulic loading platform, while a second VQ11 tender is  located in a second garage to starboard, also home to a live bait tank, paddleboards, sea bobs and other toys.  The flybridge has been superbly integrated within a distinctive exterior profile, part of a pure design with clean lines and the elegant, instantly recognizable Vanquish look.  The main deck saloon of the first VQ115 is fully tailored to the owner’s wishes with movable furniture to allow flexibility of occasion and time of day.  Office space is included for when work calls, there is a neat pantry with its own cocktail bar, plus a day head to keep the lower deck private. New Model: Bolide Yachts 80

The niche market of the super fast sport yacht beyond 24 meters has seen a new interesting player emerge in 2023, with Bolide Yachts first 80 model, what the Italian yacht builder calls the first Hyper Muscle Yacht.  Saying Bolide Yachts is new, is actually an understatement as the man behind the Italian yacht builder, is none other then fast planning hull specialist designer Brunello Acampora, who with his Victory design firm has designed and consulted an endless list of some of the best hulls in the last four decades.  With Bolide Yachts firsty eighty model, Brunello goes a step further creating the fastest yacht above 24 meters in size, which reaches an impressive 73 knots of top speed. For reaching this speed Acampora took four years to design and fine tune the Bolide 80 two stepped deep-Vee hull to match this performance, and going into pain staking detail for a light weight and stiff full carbon fibre construction, and a triple Man 2000hp power designed around a custom surface drives combination.  The Bolide 80 though does not stop with the performance and offers an interesting mix of luxury thrown in, with a design element which is both unique and futuristic in both the exterior and interiors, with the lower deck offering a two double cabins accommodation sleeping five.  The lower deck also offers a separate galley to port side with adjacent crew cabin, and saloon entertainment area which uses the full five meters plus of beam of the hyper muscle yacht.  Interested?  Bolide Yachts 80 is limited to ten builds of one or two hulls a year, with each build being semi-custom, and a price which starts at nine million euros.  Bolide Yachts is planned to have five models in the future with Brunello Acampora having preliminary details drawn in for both a smaller 70 and a larger 170 model nearly finalized.

Project: Pershing GTX80

The show flows on, and following the launch of the GTX116 this 2023 year, the Pershing GTX range enters its second phase with the project for a smaller GTX80 announced during the Dusseldorf boat show and set to launch in 2024.  These are some of the first renderings for the smaller GTX, the grand tourer crossover by Pershing. Designed as all Pershing since the brand was founded by Fulvio de Simoni the GTX80 is a super sport yacht of 24 meters in length, with a profile which is sportier leaner and symmetric, unlike the bigger 35 meter sister which is a more adventurous looking and features an asymmetric design with a side deck to port side and full-width to starboard.  Long time Pershing fans might also notice the GTX80 semi-circle side profile coach roof window design which echoes that of the integrated windscreen the brand and Fulvio de Simoni introduced in 1991.  Another different feature of the GTX80 to that of the larger sister will also be the opening drop down bulk-heads aft which double the size of the beach club bathing area.  The Pershing GTX80 will offer a four double guest cabin eight berths layout, with a crew cabin sleeping two located to starboard in between the engine room and cabin area.  The main deck of the GTX80 layout is an open astern galley to port side, a relax chaise lounge with low table opposite, an American dinner sofa forward, and central two-seats helm station, with port and starboard doors which lead to the fore deck.  The Pershing GTX80 also has a sport-flying-bridge leading you up with a stair-way to starboard, and a layout with a central sun-pad, dinette and helm station.  The fore-deck also features an entertainment dining relaxing area with dinette and a sun-pad further forward.  The Pershing GTX80 comes with a host of options from dark to light mood finishing inside, to the choice to offer a dining table in replacement to the chaise lounge to starboard, the fourth cabin replaced by a lower L-shaped dinette, and the optional T-top serving the flying bridge.  The Pershing GTX80 is to be powered by triple Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod drives, and so far no other engine options are known, although the official press release for the model is not yet out.  If further information is out this project post will be updated.

Project: Azimut Seadeck 9

Azimut new Seadeck series with sport-adventure looks and a large aft beach club area which extends both aft and to ship-sides set to launch with the 6 model in 2024, is already proving to be one of the most anticipated launches of the upcoming year.  Now Azimut is teasing Seadeck series fans even more with the first side profile rendering of the 9 project.  The Azimut Seadeck 9 was not announced during the press release of the new sporty range in March 2023, which announced the trio of 6, 7, and 8 models from sixty to about eighty feet, with the 24 meter flagship still under wraps; no rendering shown and a target date launch for early 2025.  At this stage it is not known if the Azimut Seadeck 9 is an additional fourth model of the range, or if the 8 became larger because of a client request or during project and market analysis.  What we know so far of the Seadeck 9 is that it will feature an impressive 30% reduction in Co2 emissions thanks to the use of Bio-Diesel as envisioned by Azimut Green Path partnered with Politecnico di Torino, Eni Sustainable Mobility, Lloyd's Register, and Superyacht Eco Association as created by Yacht Club de Monaco and Credit Suisse.

Project: Austin Parker Mahon 80

Austin Parker present the project for a Mahon 80, a second in size model and flagship for its fully enclosed hard-top cruisers and yachts lines named to the capital city of the Island of Menorca.  As all Austin Parker onwards from 2008 the Mahon 80 is designed by Fulvio de Simoni looking similar to the Ibiza 85 flagship which launched in 2022, with the similarities stopping there.  Unlike the 85, the Mahon 80 is to be build in fiberglass and the hull is over a meter slimmer.  The Austin Parker Mahon 80 is an innovative fully enclosed hard-top which opens a lot when desired, from a patio door which fully disappears, to side windows which drop down, making the enclosed area of the main deck become rather open.  The living space of the Mahon 80 is to be located on the main deck, with a galley located astern and centrally.  The astern galley apart being something rare in this size, is also located centrally.  Another innovation in the Mahon 80 is the aft sun-pad, which is located two steps down from the main deck, becoming a part of the beach club when on anchor.  Down below the Austin Parker Mahon 80 offers a three or four double cabins layout, with two crew cabins at midships, with an option for an open dinette, or office space in replacement of the fourth cabin.  The Austin Parker Mahon is powered by twin Man 1000hp up to 2000hp in line shafts, or surface drives for the large engine option.  Speed estimates are for 35 knots top speed from the 2000hp engines with line shaft propulsion.

Project: Sanlorenzo SP92

It was a matter of time for Sanlorenzo to follow its ground breaking SP110 with a new sister, and here comes the five meters smaller SP92 project set to debut in 2024.  The Sanlorenzo SP92 follows the SP110 and the clever innovative vertical use of space in a super sport yacht which offers an un-edited way of using the two decks.  Another innovation in the SP series is also the use of free spaces in the exterior, not the first here, as Wally was a pioneer in this for its sailing yachts and later in its Power series.  Less is more is the evolving design theme in this second decade of the second millennium!  Sanlorenzo is giving no information for the SP92, but she will probably be available in a three or four double guest cabins layout plus two crew cabins as most sport yachts in this size usually are.  We do have some news on the engines though as the Sanlorenzo SP92 is to be powered by twin Man 2000hp with jet drive propulsion for speeds up to forty knots and a cruise of 35, and a range up to 900 nautical miles in a slow mode cruise.

Project: AB Yachts 125

AB Yachts announce the project for a 125 flagship model, with the first unit selling in end of June, and coming from a client request.  The AB Yachts 125 is based on the current 120 flagship, which launched in March this year and a second unit currently under construction.  The AB Yacht should be very similar to the 120 with the main difference coming for a larger beach club, with opening wing bulk heads which extended this beach-bathing area by about forty per-cent.   Another difference between the 125 and AB Yachts 120 is for a larger tender garage, with the new flagship able to put a tender under eight meters in length.  The interior of the first AB Yachts 125 is fully customized, but for an idea the 120 is offered in four or five double cabins plus crew quarters.  Speed numbers have not been announced but expect forty knots as is standard from any AB Yachts model ever made.

Improve-it = Otam 80HT

Otam continue to evolve its 80HT and with this new unit confirmed sold and started construction in March has now arrived in its seventh hull, in twenty years and all fully custom units.  This new hull #007 as Otam likes to call is the most customized yet, although we should have gotten used to the Genoa based builder where each unit is more customized to the previous and an evolution of the species.  Calling it an Improvement is also wrong as each Otam even the smaller ones are all mostly bespoke creations and very-custom units with even the shell changing and evolving.  For example this Otam 80HT will be fully build in a Kevlar Carbon construction and will feature bigger windows, with this giving a lighter feel to the hard-top structure looking similar to that of the 58 more then the other previous six 80s.  Unchanged are the engines with the Otam 80HT powered by twin MTU 2600hp and Arneson surface drives good for a top speed up to 48 knots, as is the naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini, with the basis coming from the Fabio Buzzi designed 80 Record from 2001 which eventually became the Otam 80HT hull number one when this unit was transformed to a pleasure super sport yacht.

Project: Breedendam Eightzero Sport

The Leeuwarden-based shipyard, Breedendam has revealed its latest super sport yacht concept: the 24-metre convertible Eightzero Sport designed by long-time collaborator, Guido de Groot who was also responsible for designing the WW2 British Navy-inspired Fourzero and Sixzero models.  The Breedendam EightZero Sport concept aims to take a fresh look at how a classy gentleman’s sport yacht look according to her designer, by taking the lines and level of outfitting beyond what is expected from a typical large open super sport yacht.  Designed with various interior layout possibilities and propulsion options on offer, the Eightzero Sport is home to a large open outdoor entertainment deck with different seating areas, including one to fore deck. She features a spacious multifunctional aft deck. This carefully thought out space is perfect for guests to relax and take in their surroundings with removable furniture available on request, and for deploying tenders and toys. In addition, her large aft garage has space for a tender, WaveRunner and numerous other water toys. Created with socialising in mind, a great deal of attention has been given to ensuring that exterior and interior spaces blend seamlessly together for a relaxing onboard experience, with the large main deck aft cockpit area designed so that it can easily become part of the saloon area once it is closed off. Accommodation is provided for up to eight guests across three cabins, comprising one master, one VIP cabin and one additional guest stateroom, all of which are ensuite, as well as one crew cabin which houses two crew. Performance-wise, the Eightzero can either be powered by three Volvo 900 or 1000hp with IPS1200 pod drives for estimated top speeds up to 32 knots.  Alternatively Breedendam is also offering larger Man or MTU engine with top speeds up to forty knots.

Project: Rossinavi Infinity 42 Blue

In the wake of the success of Sea Cat, Rossinavi has embraced the new challenge of transferring BluE, the Rossinavi's new eco-friendly navigation technology to a monohull, choosing to apply this to one of Rossinavi's most appreciated projects, also born from the collaboration with Fulvio de Simoni. The result is Infinity 42 BluE. This yacht is entirely in aluminum and with a reduced draft, that guarantees a pleasant navigation also in shallow waters. Equipped with solar panels and a capacious battery pack, Infinity 42 BluE will be able to navigate 90% of the time in full-electric mode in a daily navigation scenario and 70% in an Atlantic crossing scenario, while the rest of the time is spent with the support of diesel generators. This is a great advantage in terms of reducing noise, odors and emissions. Infinity 42 BluE's solar panels are excellent in low-intensity sunlight and are able to generate energy even with minimum angles of solar incidence. On an aesthetic level, integration with the deck is almost total thanks to the great flexibility that allows them to be perfectly inserted into curvilinear designs. This project has an innovative eco-displacement hull, designed to reduce consumption even more than a traditional full-displacement hull at the classic cruising speeds of ten to eleven knots. Like all new Rossinavi projects, Infinity 42 BluE will feature the Rossinavi Artificial Intelligence system on board. The AI system constantly monitors the boat's performance, is able to learn and anticipate the needs of the guests on board and continuously communicates with crew members, suggesting lower-impact actions and instructing them in more conscious boating. This is also accompanied by the ever-present Rossinavi Zero Noise Technology, that dramatically reduces noise and vibrations on board. With regard to the interiors, every space on board has been meticulously studied in order to guarantee guests as many areas as possible, all with maximum comfort. Above all, the large sun deck stands out which extends, thanks to a small difference in height, to the stern end. This original architecture makes it possible to create an open area aft of the saloon portal, protected on all sides and offering great comfort and privacy even when the boat is at the quay as it is partially screened towards the stern by the raised deck. The sun deck hosts a dining area, a bar, a sunbathing area, as well as a jacuzzi. Inside there are five comfortable guest cabins on the lower deck and a full-beam master cabin on the main deck with structural balconies which, thanks to the large side windows, enjoys great visibility outwards. The spacious beach club is ready-to-use and thanks to the ceiling and lateral protections can also be enjoyed during navigation. In addition, a panoramic area finds its place forward on the main deck and has a pop-up cover that can, at the same time, guarantee shelter during navigation and creates shade, while continuing to convert solar energy thanks to the panels installed on the surface.

New Model: Pershing GTX116

2023 is an important year for the Mondolfo-based yard as it launches the first Pershing GTX116. This innovative, exciting, disruptive, and ground-breaking Pershing entered the water last February 7 in Fano and in doing so welcomed a new era for one of the most sportier yachting brands, with the GTX presenting a second line to that of the standard high performance modern looking sport and super sport yachts. Designed for the US market the GTX116 come from the usual always Pershing hands of  Fulvio de Simoni collaborating with Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Group’s noteworthy Engineering Department.  The first Pershing GTX116 confirms the sporty DNA of the brand and enhances the concept of comfort by providing plenty of open-air space, areas designed to be in direct contact with the water, and outstanding liveability guaranteed by the new five-cabin layout. The GTX116 infuses something new, while keeping the Pershing sport yacht DNA, reinventing it but keeping it recognizable to the rest.  With a hull of 35 meters in length and over seven meters in beam the Pershing GTX116 has a remarkable 150 square meters of outdoor areas seamlessly connected to the water, amplifying onboard liveability. The sleek and streamlined profile is emblematic of the brand’s sporty personality, which is pointed up in the bow area by a signature style feature referencing luxury SUV automotive imagery and identifying the new Pershing GTX116 as an SUY or Sport Utility Yacht. This yacht in the new range is painted a new shade of grey, with a special shade of blue for the deckhouse, while the generous glazed surfaces flood the interiors with natural light. The garage can contain a tender over 5 meters long, a jet ski and other water toys, while the exclusive 39-square-meter beach club has a teak deck protected by an electro-hydraulic taffrail that opens up to connect the beach area with the swim platform, creating a huge space at the water’s edge. The 40-square-meter sundeck, reached from the stern area via two outdoor stairways on either side of the yacht, contains the second helm station and is designed with generous spaces for socialising and to enjoy the onboard lifestyle, not least thanks to the shelter provided by the carbon hard top. This area also contains the generously sized and comfortable lounge area, complete with a large wet bar. The first Pershing GTX116 is equipped with the optional triple water jet propulsion Man 2000hp for a top speed up to 35 knots and a cruising speed of 29 knots. The standard engines are three Man 1800hp.  Announced as a secret TO project in 2020 and then fully announced a year ago during the 2022 Miami boat show as the GTX116, Pershing has two further units of its current second sized model in construction, with a smaller GTX80 scheduled to launch in 2024.

Things are getting in motion at the revived Leopard Yachts, with this 28m project starting construction in 2022.  Leopard returned back to life in 2021 acquired by Seven Stars after Paolo Picchiotti blessed the acquisition of the legendary name, which was a sub name of Cantieri Navali Arno introduced in 1973 to the avant garde Poalo Caliari designs introduced in that year, which eventually became permanent.  The Leopard 28m comes from a design of Andrea Ramasco, known for his work for Amer yachts, and naval architecture courtesy of Optima from La Spezia.  Permare is helping in the construction of this first Leopard 28m, with the new ownership having high hopes in following the success of the Paolo Caliari 27m Sport model sold in 48 units in a sixteen year production run from 1995 to 2011 which this model replaces.  The Leopard 28m will feature a sport bridge design, and a sleek profile full of windows.  Leopard is not giving any details for the interior of the 28m, although sport yachts in this size usually have a four double cabins layout with full beam owners stateroom, and two crew cabins for three or four persons.  The Leopard 28m is to be powered by triple Volvo 1000hp and IPS pod drives propulsion who should give an estimated top speed up to 32 knots and a cruise of 28.  The first unit is expected to go in the water this 2023 year.

Project: Overmarine Mangusta 132 E

Overmarine Mangusta updates the 132 model by presenting the project for the 132 E for Evolution. The Mangusta 132 model debuted in 2015 with two units delivered since then, with this updated new E currently in build set for a 2023 delivery being the third of the series. The Overmarine Mangusta 132 E is the last of Stefano Righini designed units and will have interiors designed by Alberto Mancini.  Distinct features of the Mangusa 132 E will be the hull glazing, a larger fore deck lounge area with additional settees looking aft, and a more sweeping profile to the radar arch.  The Mangusta 132 E will offer accommodation for eleven guests in five cabins, and six crew in three cabins.  The Mangusta 132 E is to be powered by triple 2600hp MTU with jet drive propulsion which will give top speed up to 35 knots and a cruise of thirty.
