Project: Grand Banks 52

Having renewed itself with the launch of the 60, Grand Banks continues its bold foray into the future of long-range cruising with the project of the 52, the second addition to the new Grand Banks family series. This beautifully designed luxury yacht comes in both flybridge and enclosed skylounge configurations, with two lower-level layout options for a three or two cabins choice. Scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2018, the 52 is a versatile design that is a culmination of what Grand Banks learned from designing and building the just launched GB60 and the rest of the range over decades of production. The GB52 is constructed using the latest methods of fully infused carbon fibre to achieve strength and reduced weight, and employing the benefits of modified epoxy vinylester resins that are the benchmark of durability, and impervious to osmosis and blistering.  The Grand Banks 52 will be powered by twin Volvo 600hp with standard IPS pod, or line shaft propulsion choice for the traditionalists.

Her functional side decks, with handholds wherever they are needed, provide a previously unheard of level of security and comfort. The Sabre 45 Salon Express offers two staterooms with two full heads and a salon that flows down two gentle steps to a bright half-up galley. Project: ISA Yachts Extra 76

ISA Yachts debuts its new line designed by Francesco Guida with Extra 76, a 23 meters explorer yacht that develops a new concept, giving guests the chance to live in close contact with the nature, creating a direct feeling with the sea both in navigation and at anchor, using all the comfort given by the large outside and inside volumes.  Extra is a yacht with features that are significantly quite different from the other ISA models. Unusual lines, smaller dimensions, and an innovative concept of use.  The exterior look of Extra 76 expresses a distinctive character and a unique personality: a play of contrasts between light-colored fiberglass and dark glazing recalls the lines of  traditional Italian yachts. Looking at the winding, charming shape reveals the impressive, full-height volume that extends almost to the bow. The large vertical and horizontal glazed surfaces are combined like part of a crystal sphere, and offer plenty of natural light and unprecedented space for a yacht 23 meters long.  The open air life is guaranteed by generous outdoor spaces, the aft deck cockpit delivers unusual volumes, with a central section furnished with big sofas, a table, and a maxi sun lounging pad aft, and then to stern the swim platform. The fly deck appearing invisible from the outside offers a second helm station, a C-shaped sofa and a huge sun lounging pad.

Project: Fairline 64 Squadron

Fairline present the project for a new Squadron 64, the latest model designed for the British boat builder by celebrated designer Alberto Mancini. The hugely successful partnership between the Italian designer and British boatyard, which began with the Targa 63 GTO, and has created an instantly recognizable sleek hull shape with effortless styling and large interior spaces that flow seamlessly.  The Squadron 64 is third design for Fairline by Mancini following the 43 Targa Open presented at the start of 2017.  Taking inspiration from Mancini’s Targa 63 GTO, the Squadron 64 will be built on the same Vripack wide chine hull and will hold the same innovative, versatile, light, bright and achingly stylish feel of the Targa 63 GTO. The luxurious social cruiser will add another dimension to Fairline’s established Squadron range, designed in line with the brand’s ethos that nothing should get in the way of the perfect getaway.  As is tradition with the Fairlines the Squadron 64 offers various owner options for deck configurations; three layout choices for the flybridge, and two options for the lower deck with three or four cabin accommodations plans.  In both lower deck layouts a twin crew cabin is located aft.  Power choices have not been announced for the 64 Squadron but expect something on the lines of the just launched 63 Targa GTO on which the hull of this model is based on.

Mazu launch the new 42 Walk-Around, with the first unit delivered early August 2017, and shown at the Cannes and Monaco yacht show.  A center console type cruiser the new Mazu 42 main selling points are a modern T-top superstructure covering the helm, and the two spacious lateral walk-around. Project: Lurssen 139-meter Project Redwood

Nuvolari-Lenard is releasing new design information about Project Redwood, a 139 meter super yacht, for which the Venice-based yacht design studio is working on the vessel’s concept, exterior and interior design.  Project Redwood will be Passenger Yacht Code compliant and is being built with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure.  Nuvolari-Lenard confirms that the super yacht will have the capability for landing two helicopters on the decks. It will carry a fleet of tenders for a range of purposes, including a number of very large tenders of 15 meters.  For activity enthusiasts, there will be a sports and diving center located on the lower decks, as well as a large swimming pool, partially protected from the elements. Once delivered, Project Redwood will have efficient, long-range cruising capabilities for independent global exploration.  The super yacht is currently under construction at Lürssen’s facilities in Bremen, and the design studio is collaborating with the same owner’s representatives and build team which it worked on 88-metre M/Y Quatroelle, delivered in 2013.  Project Redwood is expected to be delivered to its owner in 2019.
