Web: Lazzara New Web Site

Lazzara, updates its world wide web showroom to a new version. Officially founded in 1990, though in reality Lazzara roots in boat building go much more before this, being the Lazzara family in its third generation of boat builders. The family Lazzara boat building experience starts in 1955, when Vince Lazzara construct the biggest GRP boat of the time, a forty feet sailing yacht for himself. After this in 1960 he starts Columbia Yachts which in 1967 sells, and a few years later moving to Florida in the early seventies creates Gulfstar Yachts. Eventually the Lazzara brothers Dick and Brad sold there stakes in Gulfstar in 1989, next step being to start building motor yachts with there surname Lazzara brand launching the first 76 model in 1992. The rest as they say is history! The new Lazzara Yachts wed site takes you in a modern Internet showroom, with a high focus on the eight models of the current range from the LSX 64 to the LSX 120. The latest model is the 76 Brezze, while project models currently in construction are three; LSX 64, LMY 64, and the new LSX 120 flagship. Lazzara new website takes you around with the following buttons; About, Sales, New Build, Service, Parts, Lazzara Blog, and Contact Us.  Below of the entrance main page is also a social media link taking you to the; facebook, twitter, and You Tube pages of Lazzara.

Project: Mulder 16.10 m Bellagio

Bellagio is a new sport yacht currently under construction with a length of 16 meter, designed by the famous Dutch naval architect Vripack and build at Mulder.  The yacht is standard equipped with three cabins; one big owners cabin, a comfortable double guest cabin and even a crew cabin. The owners cabin has an ensuite bathroom, complete with shower and toilet. In the wheelhouse the yacht has four pilot seats, upholstered with the finest leather. The side windows of the wheelhouse can be lowered for a more open feeling and the rooftop can be tilted a few inches to feel a natural breeze over the front windows. It will give you an extraordinary sailing experience. Bellagio is standard driven by 2 Volvo 435hp engines with IPS pod drives, resulting in a top speed of approximately 30 knots.  For the real speed freaks it is optional to add another Volvo 435hp engine in between. With this triple Volvo IPS pods installation, the 16.10 m Bellagio will reach top speeds of 40 knots.

Project: Absolute 72 Fly

The Absolute wave never stops, and the Italian brand headed by Angelo Gobbi shows its next project, one of important relevance for a new flagship, the 72 Fly.  This model takes over the mantle as biggest Absolute from the 70 STY launched in 2008, going two feet larger, and expands the flybridge range as introduced in 2010, and today having four models from 40 to 53 feet.   As shown in smaller models, Absolute head of design Sergio Maggi also on the 72 Fly, concentrates on modern Italian looks using huge window surfaces to make the owner and guest having a touch feeling with the exterior environment.  Down below a four double cabins with three heads interior plan is offered.  Power will be from Volvo engines, with IPS pods propulsion, and I imagine here a twin IPS1200 with 900hp engines set up.  Absolute having among the best experience with the Volvo IPS pods being one of the first users, starting in 2006 and powering nearly all other models minus the entry level 40 SC.

Project: ISA Yachts 66m Gran Turismo

One of three sales which occurred in the last months this the ISA 66m Gran Turismo.  Developed from the 65m GT platform, this full displacement custom yacht is the first model of the newly launched GT range. It's a hard to see four decks super sport yacht with aluminium superstructure and steel hull which architectural structure is based on a strong contrast between the harmonious and curvaceous lines of the decks and the rigorous and diamond-like geometry of the transom and of the sundeck. Powered by twin CAT engines, this 66M designed by Andrea Vallicelli, can reach 18 knots max and cruises at 16 knots. Her interior offers five cabins plus the master, accommodating twelve guests.  Thanks to a spectacular stern and an aggressive plum bow, this outstanding 66 meters is destined to become a trademark in its segment. Project: Sunseeker 40 Portofino

PowerYacht announced a smaller Sunseeker a year ago when at the Southampton show 2010 the British builder was showing renderings for a new small 38 Portofino.  Now Sunseeker officially presents this project, renamed as 40 Portofino which will compete against other British and European builder in this very competitive size and market segment.  Recently the British seem to have recaptured this size; see new Princess, just improved Fairline 38 Targa now with hardtop option and three berth midships cabin, and future upcoming offers also coming from rejuvinated Broom.  The 40 Portofino sees Sunseeker go to just forty feet in some years now. Smallest model was for a certain time the more performance orientated 43 Superhawk stopped in production in 2010.  The 40 Portofino is more a cabin hard top sport cruiser, with what looks on plan a spacious well laid two cabin sleeping five layout.  The aft cabin will feature a three berths cabin.  In between is a saloon and galley, with a head to starboard serving guest and owners with an en-suite door from the owners stateroom. Propulsion which was my question mark for this model will be efficient to run stern drives.
