Project: Princess 70 Flybridge

Princess present the latest addition to the Flybridge range the 70. This sleek, elegant and spacious yacht is a beautifully proportioned flybridge that lends itself perfectly to socializing and entertaining family and friends with spacious beautifully appointed interior and exterior spaces. The Flybridge class of luxury yachts has established the Princess brand as a pioneering force. This new Princess 70 captivates with a clean, modern, elegantly proportioned look, which also meets the demand for flexible and practical living. This, coupled with its efficient cruising capability makes it truly a Princess.  The generous flybridge features a large U-shaped dining area, served by a fully-equipped wet-bar with barbecue, aft sun-pad and a forward seating area adjacent to the helm that also converts into a sunbed. Clever use of space ensures distinct areas to relax and socialize in.  On the main deck, an aft galley arrangement opens out towards the cockpit, offering a sociable Al-fresco dining solution with a more formal dining table in the saloon, easily isolated into two separate spaces, thanks to large glass sliding doors.  Huge panoramic windows flood the space with natural light and bring the outside world in. On the fore-deck, there is a forward facing sofa and table, as well as a spacious sun pad, the perfect private space to enjoy an aperitif and watch the sun go down.  Forward in the saloon are two more seating areas, as well as a large TV and entertainment system. A panto-graph door allows the helmsman easy access to the side decks from the helm station; sleek and equipped with top-of-the-range Raymarine touchscreens and plotters. The lower deck boasts four beautifully-appointed cabins, including a full beam master stateroom aft with a dedicated private staircase, a forward VIP guest cabin and two twin cabins. Windows throughout the lower accommodation areas ensure the cabins are bright, and opening portholes allow fresh air in to all the cabins.  The Flybridge class is known for its focus on enjoyment combined with efficiency, attributable to the variable deadrise hull form, which provides greater lift and less drag, enabling her to achieve lower planing speeds while still reaching up to 36 knots with twin Man 1400hp engines.

Project: Jet Tern Selene 60 Ocean Explorer

Jet Tern present the project for a new Selene 60 Ocean Explorer.  This project represents the smallest yacht of the  Explorer line designed by Guido de Groot.  The Dutch designer shows a number of the Selene family traits with her powerful semi-raised pilothouse, Portuguese bridge, and bulbous bow. But a contemporary twist is also apparent in the addition of the large side windows in the hull. The Selene 60 Ocean Explorer is sure to appeal to existing owners and boat enthusiasts alike and takes the simple and proven concept of the fuel efficient and seaworthy long range yacht to a new level of luxury that is intended to compete directly with the finest European yards with the added  advantage of a fiberglass construction.  The Selence 60 Ocean Explorer is a new yacht that has a brand new styling profile and a layout that contains three luxury staterooms and three, or two, bathrooms. Although the yacht can easily be operated by the owner, it has a comfortable crew quarter aft with full head for a captain or steward, which can also double as a fourth cabin. Twin or single Cummins or John Deere engines are available for the propulsion system. The interior design will be contemporary, similar to the Selene 92 and 72. The Selene 60 Ocean Explorer will also be available in three versions to choose from Full Wide Body as pictured above, Port Side Wide Body and Standard Two Side Decks.

New Model: Overmarine Mangusta 54 Gransport

On April 28 MY El Leon the new Overmarine Mangusta 54 Gransport flagship splashed into the water. It is the first ship of the Overmarine Group's new fast displacement line in aluminium. These are super sport yachts that can combine long range and best performance in displacement mode with high speeds, those typical of high-performance yachts, whenever desired by the Owner.  The launching ceremony took place in the Navicelli area Pisa, at the presence of the Owner, his family and friends, the City authorities, both of Pisa and Viareggio, the Balducci family and everyone who contributed to the creation of the vessel, excited and proud of the result.  The Mangusta GranSport line is designed by Alberto Mancini. Its lines tell of a ship with a brilliant personality both aesthetically and functionally, a line that reflects the muscular and dynamic lines typical of Mangusta but with the aggressiveness suited to a sporty raised pilot jouse yacht.  A sleek profile, powerful engines, high cruising speed and ample and functional spaces on-board: this model can easily cover long distances, quickly and comfortably.  Aesthetically the 54 Gransport expresses at its best the uniqueness of the Mangusta. The lines are aerodynamic, balanced and straightforward: a stern of great character and extremely dynamic; air intakes created as slits straight into the aluminium, sloped windshields and uprights integrated to the rollbar. The Jacuzzi and swimming pool dominate the bow sun bridge and bring light into the Owner head through glass skylight on the bottom. On the stern, the rotation of the central and lateral doors gives life to a "club on the sea" made of perfectly equipped terraces and beach area. The flybridge boasts a central bar designed to serve both spaces, towards the bow a dining area protected by a hard top and towards the stern a living area. All the exterior spaces can be used in full safety also during navigation.  The interior areas communicate with the exterior ones through vast windowed surfaces in a concept of fluidity and continuity that characterizes the entire super sport yacht.  Thanks to four MTU 2600hp engines and the presence of stabilisers, Mangusta 54 Gransport can reach a top speed of 29 knots, while a low speed long range cruise of 12 knots allows a range of 4200 nautical miles, after which one needs to refuel 71000 liters of fuel.

Project: Breedendam MTB Eightzero

Breedendam presents the project for the MTB Eightzero. Designed by Guido de Groot this pocket sized super yacht takes things further than the other smaller but successful Breedendam Threezero and Fourzero models as she has a flybridge and a multi-functional aft deck that can be used for both tender and toys, as well as a recreational area.  As seen on modern explorer yachts these days, a lot of attention has been given to mixing exterior and interior together. The large main deck aft cockpit area can be easily closed off to be part of the salon. On the other hand by opening the aft door area, the salon inside can become part of the open aft deck cockpit area. The MTB Eightzero has been designed for those owners who are looking for something fresh and new and yet timeless; not just a fashion statement like most new super yachts nowadays. Guido de Groot and Breedendam looked for an iconic traditional shape, which is part of the brand philosophy on giving a modern take to traditional looks. The Breedendam MTB Eightzero is to be powered by triple Volvo 900hp engines with IPS1200 forward looking dual propeller pod drives.

Project: Wim Van Der Valk 28m Explorer RPH

Wim Van der Valk recently received an order for a third in the Explorer line, a 28 meter motoryacht with a raised pilothouse. This project we are advised is for a repeat client who only needed to spend a season enjoying his current Wim Van der Valk to be convinced that an Explorer would be ideal to embark on the trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific voyages of his dreams. These exciting adventures will begin after the yacht is delivered in the spring of 2020.  Following on from the 25m and 36.80 meter Explorer models, the third yacht in this range will be built entirely in strong, lightweight aluminium. Wim Van der Valk 28m Explorer RPH will have a fast displacement hull, with twin MAN 1650hp engines will give an estimated top speed of 20 knots.
