With quick intervention by the Greek coast guard and fire fighting squad the super yacht was saved from taking more and eventual sinking, and on 2030 hours of Wednesday was reported safely moored in a berth.
The super yacht in this accident is m/y Ion Fedra previously named Ion, and launched as Astir in 1999.  A Cantieri di Pisa Akhir 110 build of fiberglass and project of Pierluigi Spadolini, Ion Fedra has an interior accommodation for ten guests in five cabins, with crew space for five in three cabins.  Ion Fedra is powered by the large engine option of twin MTU 2775hp reaching speeds up to 29 knots and a cruise of 26.  Ion Feddra was last sold in 2012 and is reported owned by Greek ship magnate G. New Model: Anvera 58

Anvera continues its ride of success and has in the Spring launched its new 58 flagship model.  Replacing the 55, the 58 is a natural evolution of the first Anvera model launched in 2016 and flagship for six years .  The 58 has different lines to the super structure, while another new details is the second row three companion way seats, behind the helm station.  As all Anvera the 58 features the opening bulkheads which extend beam by 68 centimeters aft and bring the space up to 24 square meters in the exterior deck.  Inside the Anvera 58 offers a similar layout to that of the 55 sleeping four in an open layout with a forward double berth, twin berths at midships, sofas, and a separate shower head to port side.  The Anvera 58 is powered by twin Cats 650hp, and while speed numbers have not been announced, I would expect similar forty knots plus performance and efficiency of under five liters per nautical miles at thirty knots plus cruise.

Pershing Super Sport Yacht Fire in Amalfi

A 27 meter Pershing super sport yacht titled Cinque with eight persons onboard went on fire on the morning of 22 July, near the Li Galli islets off the coast of Amalfi.  Some swimmers alerted the coast guard off the fire who came with a rib to safe the eight persons onboard; a British family with four children and two Italian crew, to safety.  The coast guard later dispatched a helicopter to turn off the fire, which succeeded in the operation temporally, and avoided the yacht from total sinking immediately, with it sinking later in the day.  Cinque was reported on charted duty at the time of the fire.  No persons where injured in the fire beside the shock of the accident.
Cinque is a Pershing 88 from 2000. Designed by Fulvio de Simoni the 88 was Pershing flagship at launch and changed how sport yachts above and below 24 meters look, creating a new standard copied over the years by the competition. Reaching speeds up to forty knots from twin MTU 2000hp engines with Arneson surface drives propulsion, and offering an interior with four double guest cabins, and two crew cabins, the Pershing 88 was produced from 2000 till 2005 in seventeen units and was replaced by the 90.
