Project: Fipa Maiora 36

Fipa Maiora has always been a conservative name when launching new projects, and here we see the Viareggio builder come with a 36 model which presents a change. It is a change of evolution but since a very long time Fipa Maiora enroll a new designer and move on from the long standing Roberto del Re to Quartostile from Torino, Italy.  The new designers trusted by Fipa Maiora have come with interesting evolutionary developments for the new 36.  For example on the new 36 we see a similar semi wide body design as presented on the 2016 launched 33 FB.  The Maiora 36 hull one is currently in build and is to be powered by twin MTU 2600hp engines.

New Model: Adler 23 Suprema

Adler is a new builder coming from the North Adriatic side of Italy who present its first 23 Suprema model.  Launched as World wide premier during the 2016 Cannes show the Adler 23 Suprema is a modern motor yacht designed by industry veterans Nuvolari Lenard and Adragna studio for naval architecture.  The Adler 23 Suprema presents itself as an advanced build motor yacht fully constructed of carbon and coming with a hybrid propulsion of twin AET 100kw motors which allows for a maximum range up to 3500 nautical miles.  If this number is correct we are looking at one of the most economic to run motor yachts of this size, but the Adler website only gives the data in a write up without any technical evidence to prove it.  The layout of hull one featured three large guest cabins below deck; owners stateroom at midships, and two VIP suites, one aft and another forward. Adler advised that each 23 Suprema is custom build to owner wishes, and that a four cabin version is available.  Power for the Adler 23 Suprema comes from twin Cats 1136hp engines which allow for top speeds of 30 knots and a cruise of 22 knots.

New Model: Viking 92 Convertible

Here I can write the usual post on how the Viking 92 Convertible is different to the other ten hulls currently sold of the 92 Enclosed Bridge.  But why? One can look at the picture above and see that important aesthetic all alone reason.  The Viking 92 Convertible is an incredible looking machine, this does not mean the Enclosed Bridge is not, but the open bridge really shows how a super sport-fisherman is meant to look.  It is a fact with the units so far sold, that practical reasons win and that is why 90% of the hulls delivered have been Enclosed Bridge versions with the benefits of comfort this gives. But looking at the 92 Convertible from the outside, some of the Enclosed Bridge owners might have a small regret.
