New Model: Tiara 49 Coupe

Tiara Yachts takes the Coupe series to the new with the introduction of the 49 model. Tiara first Coupe the 50 introduced in September 2015 defined a new evolution in design, which later was reflected with the introduction of the 39, 44 and 53 models all in the spirit of timeless classic down east lobster boat inspired design, and backed by Volvo’s easy to operate IPS pod drive system.  The 49 Coupe builds on the successful momentum of the range and elevates that experience with the introduction of expanded interior space throughout. New Coupe buyers will feel the openness immediately in the single level salon followed by the lower cabins and spacious master. The interior is further enhanced with the introduction of a full suite of hardwood finishes and designer fabrics in tune with summer fashions and trends.  The transom showcases a fully integrated swim platform which may be optioned with a hydraulic lift. Entry to the cockpit is via the port side steps through a manual locking stainless steel gate. One of the most exciting changes on the new 49 Coupe is the rear cockpit lounge seat finished in exterior grade Ultraleather which now incorporates a starboard side aft corner to accommodate more guests while entertaining. A port side aft facing seat and high gloss adjustable teak table add to the ambiance of the open air cockpit.  The hallmark outdoor/in living spaces of the first Coupe model is prominent in the new 49 with entry into the salon via a cockpit sliding door framed by windows on either side. The galley features both port and starboard include drawer style refrigerator/ freezer, two burner cook-top, microwave/convection oven and storage above and below. Large quartz counter-tops complete the galley space. Step up to salon seating and helm area with its port side U-lounge, convertible to a berth, and starboard love seat. The dual companion helm seat is fully adjustable.  Volvo Joystick controls are fully integrated with Garmin electronics and remote. The fully integrated fiberglass hardtop frames large tempered safety glass panes port, starboard and forward providing an unimpeded platform to safely and enjoyably operate the 49.  One of the real joys of the Coupe series is the visual access from virtually any point in the salon and cockpit to what really matters when yachting, enjoying the water all around you!  The lower master and VIP suites are accessed through a center stairway. The master features a private head and center-line queen pedestal berth with innerspring mattress.  Audio visual, storage and hull-side windows make the master a great retreat any time of the day. The VIP shares a day head with the lower atrium but still maintains a private entrance for sleeping. Additional hull side windows allow plenty of natural light carrying the open living theme throughout. The atrium features a port side lounge that may also be used as a berth.  The mechanical space and engine room are accessed through the large cockpit floor hatch. Volvo 600hp engines with IPS pod drives power the new Tiara 49 Coupe with top speeds up 31 knots and a cruise of 26 knots.

Project: BlueGame BG42

BlueGame presents the project of the BG42 new entry model to the sport utility cruiser and yachts range and replacement to the 40 model. The BG42 is based on the platform of the previous BG40 model with important new design changes added in both technical and accommodation areas, with Zuccon entering in a team along Lou Codega hull designer and Luca Santella the inventor of this concept and range of models.  The important changes in the BG42 are the Volvo IPS pod drive propulsion choice versus the Cummins engines ZF pods combination of the previous model, a redesign of the hard top now featuring more aggressive looks, and an interior layout now having an open plan layout with a full beam master berth to midships.  The old BG40 featured a more family friendly four plus two cabin layout with V-shaped dinette forward and two guest cabins at midships.  A nice addition in the BG40 is an extended bathing platform with electronic lift making tender launching and recovery easy.  The new BlueGame BG42 will be powered by twin Volvo 435hp with IPS pod propulsion with speeds estimates for the ten tons displacement up to 35 knots.

New Model: Canados 88 Evolution

Canados has launched the new 88 Evolution, what is a direct evolution and replacement of the successful 86 model of which 46 have been delivered.  Showing the success of the 86 came also from one loyal Canados client who had four 86’s built over the course of thirteen years production.  The new 88 Evolution like the previous model will be a semi-custom made to order build. The Canados 88 Evolution is based on the 86 model platform, which over the years has received so much praise for its incredible sea keeping ability.  The 88 Evolution had a lot of extra work done on project analysis to have a low center of gravity as possible even with new standard to have amenities as the flybridge hard-top. The Canados 88 Evolution comes with a reversed deck saloon overlooking the water and gigantic saloon floor to ceiling windows.  The main deck layout remains an example of practicality with its oversize saloon with direct sea view, thanks to the cut down bulwarks, dining room, Boffi galley, day head and crew dinette in the wheelhouse. The lower deck still offers its reputed four cabin layout with a VIP to the bow, two twin guests cabins to the sides, and the full beam owner’s suite in the center. Like most if not all Canados build over the years since 1946 the 88 Evolution is a semi custom construction with every build being tailor made to fit owners requests.  The Canados 88 Evolution is powered by twin Cat engines 1800hp which give a top speed of 32 knots and a cruise of 28 knots.

Project: Azimut Grande 25 Metri

Set to launch in September 2018 at the Cannes boat show Azimut presents the project of the Grande 25 Metri, new entry level of the big super yacht range of the famous Italian motor boats builder, which with this model starts today at 25 meters in length.  The Azimut Grande 25 Metri should also be a replacement for the 80 which was launched in Summer 2013.  Designed by the usual since early nineties Azimut designer Stefano Righini, the Grande 25 Metri presents itself as a streamlined super yacht that seems sculpted in wind, with ample space for life in the open air, to keep the connection with the sea alive. As most of the latest Azimut models the 25 Metri is to be built what the Italian builder calls Carbon Tech, meaning for a super structure, roll bar, hard-top and transom build of the light and strong carbon fiber technology.  The Grande 25 Metri is created for owners who likes a sporty looking flybrdge super yacht, something which is definitely not new from Azimut with models as the 68 Plus and 98 Leonard clearly being the first inspiration for the Italian builder and Righini in the end nineties and early parts of the new second millennium for this design direction. The interior design of the Grande 25 Metri is by Achille Salvagni who presents an unprecedented mix of the elegant and the casual, large volumes, a garage for the tender and a totally separate crew circuit to offer the owner maximum privacy, without affecting the boat’s contours, which seem light, sleek and almost sensual. Another surprising aspect in the interior design, which gives an original twist to the living area: with the typical separation of sofa and dining areas making way for one big refined setting, decorated with great care and personality. So, when no one is dining inside, there’s much more space to enjoy in two comfy living areas. If needed, the table in front of the sofa can be raised to become a spacious dining table for eight. Still the Grande 25 Metri shows flexibility and for those who prefer their spaces laid out in a more traditional way another version based on the classical approach is also available. Achille Salvagni also accents the desire for informality by introducing lacquered surfaces in colors ranging from purple to sugar paper, skillfully weighed to establish new tenets of class and refinement, in a continuously developing style that never opts for the obvious.  The galley and helm station can be separated from the other settings by sliding doors and switchable frosted glass panels, allowing the crew to get on with their business without interfering with the lives of the owner and guests.  The four cabins are in the lower Deck and three of them have double beds, while the crew has a cabin for the captain, a second cabin with bunk beds, and a crew mess that can be accessed from a stairway aft of the superstructure.  The Azimut Grande 25 Metri is powered by a twin standard Man engines of 1650hp and or optional 1800hp units.

New Model: Sunseeker 50 Predator

Sunseeker is usually associated of presenting products of a modern pedigree, always with that something newer and latest to the previous model.  So when Sunseeker introduced the new 50 Predator, it was interesting to see the builder taking an evaluation step and looking to the basics in what it has offered in the fifteen to eighteen meter sizes in the last six to eight years and delivering it in a fifteen meter package.  The new 50 Predator is a modern sport yacht, it is in the end a Sunseeker, and in its size it still one of the most future looking machines, but is also spacious and in its category of a fifteen meter sports yacht possibly offers the most space.  But the more you analyze the 50 Predator more interesting its gets especially when you see it is powered by a basic line shaft propulsion, and yet in all this still offers a much more spacious interior to that of the 50 San Remo it replaces.  The full beam midships owners cabin of the 50 Predator is bigger to that of the San Remo, as is all the lower and main deck.  So the questions comes automatic without IPS pod drives, and only half a meter more of length how did Sunseeker manage to find all this space in the 50 Predator?  The Sunseeker 50 Predator is one of the most exciting boats I have seen from Poole and is a class leader in its size and in all this to what I have heard is also competitively priced.

Project: Rivera 39 Sports Motor Yacht

During the Sanctuary Cove boat show and official launch of Riviera second in size small model, the 395 SUV, the down under boat builder revealed details for a new entry level flybridge the 39 Sports Motor Yacht.  This new Riviera takes smaller flybridge motor cruiser spot from the current 43 Open Flybridge, and by my understanding since it is vanished from the Riviera website it also replaces the 39 Open Flybridge project as presented in end Summer 2017 with the 395 SUV.   For the 39 Sports Motor Yacht, Riviera did not just change the name and some decals but also updated the flybridge design and layout to a more modern European layout of a forward helm station and L-shaped sitting dinette to port side, and wet bar and bench settee looking to the helm to starboard.   A wrap around fiberglass spoiler also fills more the flybridge making it more sporty.  For those who remember the layout of the 39 Open Flybridge project was of a more sportfish design with a back located twin settee helm station, and L-shaped dinette forward of the fly.  For the remaining fly and lower decks the Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht is the same as the Open Flybridge or the 395 SUV; with a living all located on the main deck; galley and sitting in the interior, and a twin cabin five berth lower deck layout.  Power will come from twin Volvo 435hp engines with IPS pod drives.

INBUILD ~ Casa 38 T-Top Part 5 of 5

The Casa 38 T-Top is nearing completion and in the above photo we are seeing a very close image to what will be the final product.  An indeed great sport cruiser even with some important details not yet fitted.  But the windshield is fitted, engines installed, and passarelle also.  In the above picture the Casa 38 T-Top construction status is all about refining the details which will make it from good to a fantastic, and special for its owner considering the custom detailing that went into the build.  With most details refined and cleared the Casa 38 T-Top will go for its first sea trials, and then again it will return for the fitment of the T-Top, after which hand over to a proud owner, who had the opportunity to follow and customize the construction from start to finish will be given.  An unusual story for an eleven meter sport cruiser, with most builds in this size being a start to finish standard production build with very little to decide for the owner in design both outside and inside.

Project: Beneteau 47 Swift Trawler

Beneteau present the project for a new Swift Trawler 47 to be World launched at the coming 2018 Cannes boat show in September.  A design of Andreani at this moment it is not yet understood if the 47 is a replacement of the 44 or 50 model, since it packs so much features in just fourteen meters of size.  One of the favorite details shown in the renderings is the single level living space between aft deck and the interior saloon galley area.  Down below the Beneteau 47 Swift Trawler features three double cabins; owners cabin forward, twin berth cabin to port side, and Vip double to starboard.  The Beneteau 47 Swift Trawler will be powered by twin Cummins 425hp engines with traditional line shaft propulsion.  Beneteau will also offer a hard top option for the flybridge.
