Project: Overmarine Mangusta 215

Its one of the most talked projects since the current 165 Mangusta flagship has launched. The new Overmarine flagship, make the Viareggio builder push the sport yacht size even further to fifty meters. The answer with this project is a simple yes. The Mangusta 215 is a two and half deck with extremely fluid lines, and five cabins plus owners stateroom on the main deck layout plan inside. Tender spaces will also be important with four PWC craft finding space; from a garage opening at midships having space for three, and a hangar on the main deck for one. The aft part of the 215 is reserved for a dedicated beach area.  As usual to Overmarine Mangusta exterior entertainment areas abound all around the place from the fore-deck, to the aft cockpit, and the fly-deck. Power and performance numbers are not advised by Overmarine, but the rendering do show the 215 to feature jet propulsion as the other big over one hundreed feet Mangustas.

New Model: Overmarine Mangusta 165 E

The latest Overmarine Mangusta 165 hull no. 9 is the very latest example of evolution and the perfect combination of comfort and speed.  There are a number of important technological innovations on this yacht as well as improvements in performance, including a new propulsion system with quadruple MTU 2600hp engines, 4 Rolls Royce Kamewa NP waterjets and 4 Seakeeper stabilisers. This driving system has an excellent weight/power ratio, as the engines are lighter than the previous ones and so there is less weight in movement when the yacht is at sea. These last generation engines are also more efficient and have a modular functionality. The waterjets are also stronger as the design has been renewed in order to offer a better performance at lower consumption. The result is that this yacht can reach similar speeds as in the past but consumes less: 35% less at 20 and 30 knots. The optimised layout in the engine room has provided the space to install 4 stabilizers for improving stabilization when the yacht is both at anchor and under way: 50% less rolling with half metre waves. Efficiency has also been improved meaning sailing is very comfortable at low speeds, too. Each and every owner can really decide whether to sail at high speeds or 20/30 knots with good drive efficiency and greater efficiency of consumption, without however, ever having to renounce to being comfortable on-board. This yacht is proof of the shipyard’s continuous evolution, but also of its ability to understand the market and anticipate client demand. Greater opportunities for this successful model, which can now also be proposed in the E evolution version with a number of external aesthetic features, most meaningful and recognizable being the window profile design of the deck house.

New Model: Overmarine Mangusta 110

The Overmarine Group is proud to announce the launch of the first unit of the brand new Mangusta 110 model which took place earlier this week, on Tuesday 26 November at the companies private wharf in Viareggio. The yacht will shortly be leaving for the United States and glamorous Miami, where she will be presented as a world première during the Boat Show in February 2014. Designed by Stefano Righini in collaboration with the Overmarine Group team, Mangusta 110 is highly versatile yacht and a perfect combination of sport and timeless lines. Without giving up the traditional racy profile of Mangusta models, this new yacht features external areas both fore and aft which are difficult to find on today’s market, and a more than generously sized sport bridge, which can also house a second helm station. The interior layout is the result of careful study of volume, the aim of which was to ensure maximum on-board comfort, excellent and total separation between the guest and crew areas. The layout has means to have a four cabins plan which can accommodate up to nine guests. However, as with all Mangusta yachts, the Overmarine Group Design Department is able to offer different kinds of interior layouts and style solutions and personalised decor in order to fully satisfy the taste and wishes of any owner. The main deck features a large salon which can easily be converted into a lunch space. The crew area, where there is the galley, features all necessary comforts, and has high technical characteristics compated to yachts of the same size. Two MTU 2600hp engines and Kamewa waterjets propulsion give the Mangusta 110 a top speed of 33 knots whilst ensuring excellent stability, a complete absence of vibration and extremely low noise levels. The Overmarine Mangusta 110 also features zero speed gyroscopic stabilizers, which work both at anchor and underway.

Project: Overmarine Mangusta 42 Oceano

The second model in the Overmarine Mangusta Oceano displacement line, is a 42 metre yacht in steel and aluminium designed by Alberto Mancini, presented in project at the 2013 Monaco show. The project was developed by designer Alberto Mancini, who with it begun his working relationship with Overmarine Mangusta. To the history book this is also the first time Overmarine has used an other designer outside of Stefano Righini, who we can say has climbed the ladder of success along with Mangusta. Mancini has been able to exalt the successful stylistic features and family feeling of Mangusta Maxi Open yachts and interpret them to create a triple deck displacement yacht: the result is a super yacht, modern and elegant, whose proportions are expressed in a blend of sharp, taut lines combined with softer sections. A careful study of light and a new concept which provides for two innovative areas have been developed on-board Mangusta 42 Oceano: on the bow deck the external area features two separate sunbathing areas which plunge into a swimming-pool with a continuous waterfall. A glazed skylight on the bottom of the pool brings light and translucence to the head in the owner suite on the underlying deck. Astern, on the other hand, the hatch has been fitted with glazed transverse cuts through which a real furnished beach area can be glimpsed. Once open, it stretches out over the sea creating a platform where the glazed surfaces turn into a source of natural light allowing the nocturnal lighting of the underwater beams fitted astern to filter through. Painstaking care has been taken over the lighting design, and the concept of the beach club skylight also appears on the external decks where transparency has been achieved through the glazed bases of the steel and glass tables set on all three decks of the yacht.  The interiors have been designed in order to accommodate up to twelve guests ensuring their total privacy and freedom of movement, as well as seven crew members.  The main deck houses the salon and dining-room, the lobby, the galley and the full-beam owner stateroom at bow which features a terrace over the sea.  Everything converses with the exterior here: the salon features huge windows through which natural light enters and a sliding door which opens up and overlooks a panorama directly over the sea. The owner suite, on the other hand, communicates between the night and head areas through sliding glazed doors, creating a unique environment where the diaphanous sky of the head welcomes the refraction of the water in the swimming-pool on the overlying sunbridge.  Glazed transparency brings light to the various different environments, increasing the perception of space.  There are four guest cabins on the lower deck, two double and two twin, all with en-suite heads. At bow there is the crew area formed of three double cabins. The Captain’s cabin, on the other hand is on the upper deck next to the helmstation.  Alberto Mancini’s proposal for the interior design features soft contrasts of warm and cold materials: dove-grey oak flooring, bleached teak and sycamore bulkheads, ‘games’ of alcantara, leather and steel combined with fabrics and linen, silk and soft leather sewn onto panels.  Powered by two MTU 1448hp engines, the 42 Oceanco  has a cruise speed of 11 knots, a pace which makes it possible to cover a distance of over 4000 nautical miles at a time. The top speed on the other hand reaches 15 knots, + 1 knot with the optional larger twin MTU 1931hp.

Project: Overmarine Mangusta 132

Much has been done over the past few years in terms of investments and extending the range by Overmarine Group and the new Mangusta 132 has been developed in line with these strategic choices. This yacht is the natural evolution of Mangusta 130, with a number of important differences.  The interiors and exterior of this highly versatile yacht feature a perfect combination of high performance and on-board comfort.  The new S3Np Ka.Me.Wa. Rolls Royce waterjets featuring improved efficiency have been combined with two 4600hp MTU engines. As result, this yacht can comfortably reach a speed of over 36 knots without vibrating and at very low noise levels.  Mangusta 132 has a new hull to which the hydrodynamic improvements already introduced on the 165, the current flagship from Overmarine, have been added and is fitted with zero speed gyroscopic stabilisers usable at anchor and under way. Without taking anything away from the usual racy, sporty lines of all Mangusta yachts, this new series features a generously-sized sundeck which can be used as a private area for the owner and also have a double driving position. Distribution of the interiors is the result of a careful architectural study of the volumes of the yacht, which aim to ensure maximum onboard comfort and the best, complete separation between the guest and crew areas. The layout makes it possible to have up to five guest cabins, but as with all Mangusta yachts, the Overmarine Group Design Department can offer a range of interior layouts as well as style solutions and personalised decor, thus managing to fully satisfy the taste and wishes of all owners.  Mangusta 132, a yacht in which comfort, internal and external volumes and performance merge together in perfect harmony.

New Model: Overmarine Mangusta 94

The first unit of the brand new Overmarine Mangusta 94 model was launched on Sunday 26th May, during the morning. The event took place at a private ceremony in the presence of the owner and his wife, the shipyard management team and all those who played a part in building this new super sport yacht model in the renowned Overmarine fleet.  Mangusta 94 measures just under thirty metres in length, respecting dimensions of standard European marinas and it’s a completely new model. She is the natural next evolution in the Righini designed status symbol Mangusta maxi open yachts, perfectly combining traditional but sport lines with new features that allow greater usability of the external areas and even more comfort.  Said features include a flybridge with large cushions and a bow cockpit, where besides the sundeck, there is also a dining area with a table and divan. Another important new feature is installation of the gyroscopic stabilizers. Natural light on board is of primary importance and comes in both through the four skylights in the ceiling of the main saloon and the large window in the part of the hull by the owner area where there are also two portholes which can be opened. The side windows in the hull will become a distinctive feature on all future Mangusta models. The interior layout featuring just two cabins and the style and decoration perfectly represent the shipyard’s personalisation philosophy having been made to measure according to the Owner’s instructions and requirements. The timeless elegance of the interiors has been created by prestigious New York architect Peter Marino: the decorative abundance of rosewood, the ivory tones and the brown shades of the coverings and furnishings create a truly unique atmosphere. The second unit will already be in water in June.

New Model: Overmarine Mangusta 72

Overmarine headed to this year Genoa boat show with a new renovated Mangusta 72, which updates this successful model mostly onboard in many areas from more powerful engines to a redesign of all the layout from the main to the lower deck.  A notable most important difference of the new Mangusta 72 is the back enclosure patio door, which makes the hard-top salon now completely closed.  The new patio door is made of crystal with smoked glass and features access from two sliding partitions which open the area to the aft deck. Thanks to the patio door the interior layout and design are thoroughly renovated, with the main deck now allowing for the stairs to be completely opened and accessible. The now enclosed living room is casually opulent, with the area becoming covered or open thanks to the hydraulic sliding roof, and patio door which gives a formidable flexibility to the use of this space.  Accessing the lower deck there is another salon equipped with big windows and then three cabins, each with its own bathroom. The Master is full beam with light flowing through four portholes. The Mangusta 72 also features a large galley that allows easiness in cooking as well as relax corner for the crew.  The design philosophy of this stunning yacht was to strike with a new furniture and interior style. Contemporary materials are used: Wengewood floors throughout the boat tastefully match the brown leather headboards in the rooms, as well as the Emperador dark marble in the bathrooms; while the natural oak panels and furniture are elegantly contrasted with satin stainless steel joints.   The exterior offers an array of enjoyment possibilities with a large sunbed and access to the water toys in the garage.  The Overmarine Mangusta 72 also receives new power comes from twin MTU 1600hp, an extra of 100hp to the previous set up which with the Arneson surface drives combination deliver a top speed of 40 knots.

Project: Overmarine Mangusta 130

Overmarine Group presents the project for a soon to launch new Mangusta 130 that, in this case, will replace the previous model. As the smaller and bigger sisters the new Mangusta 130 is designed by Stefano Righini.  Long time collaborator of this famous Italian status symbol big open super sport yacht builder founded in 1985.  The new Mangusta 130 main difference to the previous model is the adding of a sports flybridge that will offer an additional social area without influencing the aggressive exterior lines that characterize this model.  This change also presents a difference to the super structure and the radar arch.  Additional changes are also coming from the view windows with the new model having four extra vertical port holes on each side. In the past Overmarine build a Mangusta 130 S, launched in only one unit which featured a large spacious flybridge but did not look as sleek as the standard model.  This new second in size large Mangusta basically joins the concepts of both the 130's without loosing the sleek sports profile of the lines.

Project: Overmarine Mangusta 110

Overmarine Group announces the project for a new Mangusta 110. This will be a brand new yacht, and does not replace the famous 108 that remains in the range. Mangusta 108 is an icon of the Italian, Viareggio status symbol brand with her timeless classic design that has conquered numerous customers and still does.  Overmarine Mangusta 110, offers a new social area on a sports flybridge deck in addition to the already extended area on the bow that represents one of the main characteristics. Also the new interior layout allows a better space distribution designed for the owner, guests and crew. Standard layout offers four double cabins, with an owners stateroom to midships.  Entertainment living area is all on the main deck, with a very large galley located below adjacent to the crew cabins at midships, this also having a small lobby and relaxing zone.  The crew quarter is equipped with all the comforts and technical features which has no equals on yachts of the same size.  Mangusta 110, for her versatility, has not only been conceived for the Mediterranean Sea but also developed for other markets. The design department of Overmarine Group, offers several style proposals, and as is the usual philosphy is also ready to work and to do semi custom designs with the most demanding owners.  Power is from twin MTU 2600hp with jet drive propulsion which give a top speed of 33 knots.

Project: Overmarine Mangusta 148 Oceano

Overmarine Mangusta the very famous builder of 72 to 165 feet open hard top sport yachts finally show some renderings of its two years ago announced 148 Oceano. For the Italian Viareggio Overmarine founded in the eighties this project touches new challenges with the 148 Oceano representing its first build having a displacement hull, and three decks. The 148 Oceano just as the open hard top is to be designed by Stefano Righini, architect for Overmarine Mangusta since the early nineties. Righini presented a classic looking exterior with a standard interior plan offering five cabins. The owners stateroom will be located on the main deck, two VIP suites to mid ship below, and two double guest cabins below. A total of five double crew cabins are to be found, including the captains cabin on the upper deck just behind the helm station. As these renderings also show the 148 Oceano will also offer the latest of hydraulic opening balconies and terraces, these being the latest fashion to capture the modern super yachts. So far we can see two of these, one on the lower deck, and a second on the main deck by the owners suite. Twin MTU of 1523hp should give a top speed of 15 knots, and a cruise of 12 knots this last delivering an estimated range of 4000 nautical miles.

New Model: Overmarine Mangusta 130 S

The Overmarine Mangusta 130 S is a new interpretation for the successful 130 model, featuring an upper flybridge lounging area and a separate raised pilot house position. The concept of the raised helm area is not new for Overmarine, using a similar concept in the past for it's 92, 100 and then 105 models, all of which at the time where the biggest produced open yacht. In respect to the standard 130, the 130 S gains space with a full deck reserved for entertainment, divided in 2 separate areas in the standard plan offered by the builder and an extra upper outdoor deck on the flybridge. The first launched version had the fly reserved for lounging use with no helm, but if one would want a second helm station it can be fitted being Overmarine a renowned custom builder ready to make customers wishes into reality. The concept for using the upper hardtop space in the big opens of 24 metres plus seems taking shape very often during the last year with the new introduced, bigger models showing this option. Overmarine already showed this concept in the biggest Sports Yacht in the market today, the Mangusta 165 but it also put the foundations in the past for raised helm area in it's past models or the current S line.

New Model: Overmarine Mangusta 165

Announced as a project in 2004, the new Overmarine Mangusta 165 has been very much a top secret construction, with everyone trying to imagine what a fifty metre Sports Super Yacht would look like. Overmarine did not disappoint the critics and presented a spectacular Sport Yacht with open like characteristics! Personally I find it difficult to call this an open, although one must admit especially looking at the 165 from distance away that the design and style all call for a big hard top, open sport yacht. Architect Righini designed a great looking Sporty fifty metre Super Yacht following the lines of the successful 130 and putting in good use the extra length with an invisible sport flybridge and aggressive breath taking lines as a Mangusta should be. The custom interior of the 165 can accommodate ten or twelve guests in five or six staterooms while crew accommodation is for seven members in three cabins. Still as all Overmarine Mangusta this is a custom project and can be transformed to the owners requests. As for the performance these are up to standard Mangusta fame, with Hull one fitted with twin MTU 4556hp each driving Kamewa Jets plus Booster giving 37 knots of top speed. Overmarine is predicting to build 2 165' a year.
