Project: Bering B72

Bering present the B72 project, an evolution of the 65 model, of which three units have been delivered and collectively sailed more than 100,000 nautical miles in all sea conditions. The steel-hulled B72 is based on the same technical platform and retains the rugged expedition-style lines, but Bering gathered feedback from the owners of the B65 and their captains in order to develop a new yacht that was bigger and better equipped with more comfort and storage space for supplies.  Although inspired by classic expedition vessels, the B72 is a thoroughly modern explorer. The bow has less overhang and the transom is close to vertical with a wide beach platform. The aluminium superstructure is purposeful and offers panoramic views through large windows.  The layout is on three deck levels. The main deck features a spacious salon, full-width galley and pilothouse on a raised level. Visually separated from the salon by steps, the well-equipped galley is a social centre on board, much as friends and family gather around the kitchen at home. There is a day head to port before entering the pilothouse protected from the elements by a windscreen of toughened 19mm-thick glass.  There are several options for the lower deck layout and guest accommodation. The standard layout has three guest cabins and a full-beam master suite forward. Optionally, the vessel can be reconfigured to a five or a six cabin layout with or without a crew cabin, the choice is completely up to the customer.  The boat deck, with room for one large or two smaller tenders and accompanying crane is divided from the social area and exterior helm station. In addition to the flybridge, the open-air areas include the aft cockpit with al fresco dining and a sun lounge on the foredeck.  The ocean-going B72 has a displacement of 118 tons with a fuel capacity of 18,200 litres. Powered by twin Cummins 327hp diesel engines she has a range of more than 5000 nm at a cruising speed of 7 knots.

New Model: ISA Super Sportivo 100 GTO

ISA Super Sportivo 100ft GTO is the new silver colour arrow with a sporty design featuring a carbon fibre infused hull combined with a lightweight carbon superstructure.  Performance is certainly the main ingredient thanks to her three Man 2000hp engines and jet propulsion which, during the first sea trials reached a maximum speed of 55 knots. Therefore, this model becomes fully part of the worldwide fastest boats currently on the market in this category.  A legend that began a few years ago when Giuseppe Palumbo entrusted Marco Casali the development of the new ISA Super Sportivo line. A market niche for super speed enthusiasts that introduces in the history of ISA the use of jet propulsion on one of the shipyard’s best seller the 120t Sport and the 140t Sport.  The Owner of Aldabra immediately loved the lines and believed in the project. A top-level technical team led by Engineer Arnaboldi and specialized in performance boats worked to develop the water lines and aerodynamics. ISA Super Sportivo 100 GTO took shape at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard, Ancona; Marco Casali from Too Design looked after both the exterior and the interior, liaising with the carbon fibre specialized staff of the site technical office. Once again, ISA Yachts confirms itself as an innovative and dynamic brand capable of facing increasingly exciting challenges.  The sleek lines are emphasized by the high deep-V shaped bow and by the profile that drops rapidly down to the stern. The deckhouse has a pronounced sheer line that perfectly matches the large double-curved front windows of 5 sqm each, divided by the gull-wing door to access the cockpit.  The boat performance is stylistically amplified by the big air intakes playing a dynamic role when positioned above the hard top.  Astern and forward the sizeable open surfaces make it a unique product in its category, while the large opening glass panels of the hard top still ensure maximum comfort even in the covered areas of the cockpit.  The great attention to the weight of this ISA Super Sportivo 100 GTO has led to the installation of innovative solutions in addition to lighter furniture, flooring and ceiling. Indeed, the deck flooring is in a special closed cell marine grade foam which, in addition to being light, is also very soft to the touch, easy to maintain, does not heat up under summer high temperatures and guarantees unmatched soundproofing.  On the starboard and port side of the cockpit we find two electric lift carbon tables serving as coffee or dining tables or as a large relaxation surface when covered with their cushions. Four Frau Donald armchairs, leather upholstered, complete the area.  The Furuno dashboard is central, ergonomic and perfectly integrates with the cockpit design.  The interior, available in several options from three to five guest cabins in addition to the two crew cabins accommodating four people with separate access from the cockpit, are totally customizable and characterized by a design aimed to maximise light and confer an iconic architecture on spaces.  Hull One of the Super Sportivo 100 GTO M/Y Aldabra has 5 double cabins with private bathrooms. The full-beam owner cabin is located amidships and has a double bathroom with a central pass-through shower.  The cockpit and lower deck finishes are in leather, carbon and steel to enhance the modern, clean and essential style of the whole project. Great attention has been paid to the light design using integrated LED strips to highlight specific details.  A four metre tender is housed in the aft garage and can be hauled launched through a tender slide system with a winch. ISA Super Sportivo 100 GTO is also equipped with a transformer and a Seakeeper 35 for maximum comfort on board.

Project: Riva 68 Diable

The story of every new Riva is a journey to explore the many different directions, with infinite paths branching out from a peerless heritage and reuniting in a work reflecting the brand’s legendary style.  The prestigious forerunner of this new Riva 68 Diable project is another remarkably beautiful open yacht: the Diable 50, first sport yacht above fifteen meters from the legendary name which was based on the Super America hull and produced from 1984 till 89 in 31 units. The 50 Diable was replaced by the 51 Turborosso in 1989.  Based on the 66 Ribelle launched in 2018, the 68 Diable targets clients looking for an open sport yachts, a segment in which Riva is the recognised leader for its ability to innovate and create elite boats that satisfy the tastes and preferences of the most demanding owners.  The project, like all Riva yachts in last 27 years, come from Mauro Micheli, of Officina Italiana Design with Sergio Beretta, working in partnership with the Product Strategy Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.  Elegance, sportiness and liveability are the key words in a project that incorporates inspiring technological and design innovations, all run through by the cultured taste for tradition and fine detailing that is the brand’s stylistic hallmark today.  One of the main new features and strengths of this open yacht aims precisely to benefit liveability: the new hard top, which has a clean, linear design that hides the technical and technological equipment from sight, as well as protecting and sheltering the central part of the yacht, including the dining area and the helm station on the main deck. Equally impressive is the sunroof with a two-way forward and backwards opening mechanism, which cannot fail to be a source of pleasure and wellbeing when cruising.  The cockpit furnishings include two big sun-pads, one in the form of a chaise-longue at the water’s edge, and one that can be shaded, along with the dining area, by an automatic powered bimini system built into the hard top.  The bow area too is best-of-breed in terms of concept and spaciousness, offering maximum freedom and relaxation to enjoy in company.  The lower deck is laid out for maximum comfort, with three cabins sleeping six guests around a versatile and comfortable open space containing a galley and a dinette: a centrally-positioned master cabin, a double cabin with single beds on the port side, and a VIP cabin forward. Every cabin has its own bathroom.  The Riva 68 Diable is standard powered by Man 1550hp good for up to 37 knots, or Man 1650 which increase max speed up to forty knots. The launch of the 68 Diable is planned for summer 2021.  Welcome back, after over thirty years it is nice to see you again Diable.
