Project: Cantiere Delle Marche 118 Acciaio

The success of explorer yachts in steel and aluminum designed by Cantiere delle Marche continues. The shipyard based in Ancona, Italy, announces the sale of an explorer yacht Acciaio 118 for one lucky owner. The sale was made in collaboration with Arcon Yachts, which introduced the customers to the shipyard and have followed every single step of the negotiation with great skill and ability. Arcon Yachts will also be the Build Representative: a natural choice since Richard Kaye performs the same activities for the first unit Acciaio 105 under construction. In fact, the new yacht comes after only six months from the sale of the first Acciaio 105: this model too is designed by Hydrotec, and will be the synthesis of the technical expertise and the design of the leader shipyard in manufacturing explorer yachts in steel and aluminum. Again Cantiere delle Marche proves to be perfectly able to accurately identify the market needs and consequently optimize its offer to meet those needs. Always keeping focused its foundation characteristics their DNA the Explorer Yachts builder is able to broaden the horizons of this category by offering their owners the opportunity to experience the sea 'beyond yachting limits'. The yacht, scheduled for delivery in early 2019, joins the other 6 units, all over 100 feet, already under construction at Cantiere delle Marche. Acciaio 118’ is blending all the various components that were found in CdM production until now: a strong and robust construction, using steel and aluminum, a round bilge, full displacement hull that in the last projects has evolved including a bulbous bow and shallow water capabilities, high volume, tender garage capable of holding a six meter tender, enhanced external areas with elegant and smooth lines. The 350 ton vessel is using a high performing full displacement hull, with a bulbous bow, full midships section and smooth, flat aft sections which allow for optimal propeller space and an almost horizontal shaft line. These hull design features form a yacht with incredibly low fuel consumption and a long range, when coupling this with advanced hull reinforcements this creates a true explorer yacht. The hull has not only proved to be extremely efficient but also offers sea-keeping capabilities encountered only on much larger vessels. The Acciaio 118 has significantly increased sound proofing making the yacht incredibly silent and with great stability in all conditions creating a truly extraordinary and tranquil cruising experience. The external lines are a combination of elegance and character, with the longitudinal volume distribution becoming more balanced using long flowing lines, the windows are wide and perfectly harmonized both with interior and exterior.  As has become synonymous with CdM and the Darwin line, the Acciaio 118 offers a custom interior layout with unrivalled volumes boasting on average 10 percent more space compared to its rivals. The standard layout holds potentially 6 guest cabins spread over 3 decks with 4 crew cabins. The main deck houses a generous lounge and dining with the full beam owner cabin situated forward. Located on the upper deck is a sky lounge/media room opening to a covered alfresco dining, forward of the helm is a further sun bathing area. Acciaio 118 offers a huge sun deck holding all the desired luxuries including custom Jacuzzi, bar, sun bathing and a naturally configured hardtop to allow a sheltered area for dining.

New Model: Cantiere Delle Marche 102 Darwin

Cantiere delle Marche is on a spiral of success which has seen the Italian builder make a strong hold on the explorer style super yacht segment from 24 to forty meters in size. Prove of this success is the launch of hull number three of the 102 Darwin series.  The first unit of Darwin 102 was splashed in the end of 2016, with two other launches following it, and a fourth and fifth currently in construction.  The CdM 102 Darwin is a replacement to the 96 model of the same series and is a custom project fully build of steel.  For example in hull number three the Italian super yacht builder has increased headroom, while the sundeck has been split into a fitness and lounge area.

Project: Cantiere Delle Marche 105 Accaio

Cantiere delle Marche has had a very busy Summer season, with new orders continuing to fill the books of the successful Italian builder who is currently dominating the explorer super yacht market in between 24 to 35 meters sizes.  In July alone Cantiere delle Marche received two new orders and following another 102 Darwin, the Italian builder got commisioned for a fully custom 32 meter full displacement order which is to be called 105 Accaio.  Little details have been given so far to the full custom 105 Accaio.  We know due to the design above that it will be a three deck super yacht, and that it is a design of Hydro Tec, the same studio responsible for all the Darwin class line.  In the 105 Accaio the owner wanted a more modern exterior look then the Darwin range, along with a large tender garage aft, which will be an interesting challenge for Cantiere delle Marche due to the seamanship first nature of its builds.

New Model: Cantiere Delle Marche 108 Nauta Air

A few days ago, Cantiere delle Marche launched M/Y Narvalo, a new 33-meter Nauta Air explorer super yacht built in aluminum and steel. Commissioned by a South American yachtsman, this new current flagship of the Marche yard will be showcased at the next Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes.  Like all the boats Cantiere delle Marche builds, the three-deck, displacement hull of 108 Nauta Air is custom-made. The project is by Nauta Design, a celebrated Milan-based studio that also designed the largest private motor yacht in the world and boasts a number of collaborations with some of the world’s top shipbuilders.  Nauta Design fitted the first 108 Nauta Air with a wide range of characteristics that maximize on-board comfort during the long cruises the owners of this kind of yacht have in mind. On the upper deck, just behind the wheelhouse, there is a sky lounge only a few square meters smaller than the main saloon. The deck also boasts more than 50 square meters of outdoor spaces, including a dining area and a well for a 5.5m tender that is possibly the best and most accessorized unit ever built by that company. The sun deck is a stunning observatory on the sea, an oasis for entertaining friends and guests equipped with a dedicated area for sunbathing, a whirlpool and a dining and cocktail area for refreshments. Its centerpiece is a strikingly designed bar, a true design statement around which the whole deck revolves.  The lower deck comprises four guest cabins, all of which are of unprecedented size for this class of yachts, and an incredibly spacious lobby that provides guests with the perfect space for relaxing. The crew area features significant storage space and a sub lower deck entirely dedicated to provisions, allowing the yacht to remain at sea for weeks without the need to dock to resupply. The owners of first 108 Nauta Air love both a luxurious, elegant lifestyle and the great outdoors: combined with its signature style, the state-of-the art Hydrotec technical specifications of the yacht bridge both worlds, fulfilling the expectations of the most discerning clientele.  Cantiere delle Marche Nauta Air 108’ applies the company’s know how to a class of vessels over 30 meters long, resulting in a seaworthy and over-engineered super yacht with a contemporary but timeless design, perfectly suitable both for a summer in the Mediterranean and blue water passages at extreme latitudes.

Project: Cantiere Delle Marche 102 Darwin

Cantiere delle Marche presents the project of the currently in build 102 Darwin, confirming its on-going success in this line of yachts. In the five years since being launched, the Darwin Class and the Nauta Air lines have pushed the shipbuilder into a dominant position, representing approximately 60% of the 80 to 110 feet steel and aluminum Explorer Yacht market.  The 102 Darwin Class, is due for delivery in 2017 to a European owner, with contract signed in the aftermath of the Cannes Boat Show.  While maintaining all of the features of the pure Darwin Class style, this 102 boasts a series of interesting customization, both with regards to function and design. One of the first requests of the made by the buyers was to include a fully-equipped fitness area so to keep up with their daily workout routines, even when they are at sea and far away from their regular gym. In order for them to live an active life while enjoying the oceans and their sailing destinations, careful attention was devoted to the lay out of the garage; it will be equipped for and designed to hold numerous toys and transportation vehicles, as well as a complete diving center. The already ample spaces were specifically designed and re-proportioned in height, exceeding the already excellent standards that are the norm on all Explorer yachts in the Darwin Class. The interior height allowances were increased to 2.18 meters, something incredible for a 100-foot yacht and consequently, all of the doors and windows were re-proportioned. This way, the owner will not have to suffer any of the classic problems that particularly tall people experience on a yacht of this length.  All the technical standards that have made CdM a benchmark in its sector have been maintained: 12mm steel hull, cupronickel piping, independent rudders, automatic generator parallel, electric fins stabilizers, as well as waste-water treatment systems for black, gray, and bilge waters that have been adapted from the world of work ships and designed to be used 24/7 year round.  The interior spaces will be designed by Italian interior firm PFA and Partners, which is partnering with Cdm’s project managers and the owner, to design the interior layout. The interior will offer four cabins; Master, VIP, and two guest cabins, plus three crew cabins and a captain’s cabin adjacent to the bridge. The owners have proposed a warm and welcoming interior style, where the walnut wood tones find their perfect complement in the wallpapers, the leathers, and the other luxury materials used to create a very cozy atmosphere. The theme that pulls it all together will be the pairing of classical style and modern touches, especially in accessories and free standing pieces of furniture that offer a tremendous visual impact in terms of form. The owners personal cabin was the object of particular focus; a large full-beam space in the center of the yacht, with a highly original solution for connecting the sleeping area with the bath and dressing room area.

Project: Cantiere Delle Marche 108 Nauta Air

With an order book already far into 2018, Cantiere delle Marche continues to raise its stake and after launching its biggest build with the 107 Darwin this 2015 Summer, heads in the last part of the season with the announced sale of a new 108 Nauta Air which just started construction.  A new flagship by one foot! Designed by Mario Pedol, the Nauta Air is a more Europe Mediterranean version for Cantiere delle Marche of an explorer type super yacht with modern minimal lines.  It is in short terms an opposing design to the rugged tug boat looking Darwin line, yet the Nauta Air has immediately struck big, two units already delivered of 86 and 90 models so far, and now this 108 is under construction.  Twenty two months to complete the 108 Nauta Air is available with two bow styles, standard or plumb and has a full displacement hull shape. She is a three deck yacht with a standard five cabin interior sleeping ten.  Crew quarters offer accommodation for six persons.  Power will come from twin 714hp Cat engines which will give a top speed of 13 knots, a fast cruise of 12, and a long range economic cruise of 9 knots. This giving a range of 5500 nautical miles.

New Model: Cantiere Delle Marche 107 Darwin

Cantiere delle Marche continue to launch exceptional Explorer Yacht and here they are present the current new flagship the 107 Darwin.  Weighing just over three hundred tons, and built in steel and aluminium for the super structure, this is the acclaimed Darwin Class range from Cantiere delle Marche. This new flagship confirms the ongoing strength of the Ancona shipyard, the world leader in the market of displacement yachts in steel and aluminum. The shipyard marks a new success with the first delivery of a vessel over one hundred feet. In fact, thanks to this delivery, CDM starts a series of launches all above 100 feet, having under construction two Darwin Class 102', one Nauta Air 108', one Nauta Air 111'. 107 Darwin meets the usual technical characteristics on which the worldwide success of this range is founded. In terms of style, Darwin 107' has absorbed all the updates introduced on the new Darwin 86 and 102 which include a more balanced longitudinal profile for a more contemporary style, increased window surfaces, lowered gunwale for a closer contact with the sea. From the technical point of view, the Darwin 107 is the direct development of smaller models and takes into account the feed-back from the navigation experience of the six preceding models that already sailed thousands of miles.

New Model: Cantiere Delle Marche 90 Nauta Air

Cantiere Delle Marche 90 Nauta Air is a new step in this yards range, and unlike the more rugged and tug boat looking Darwin class takes a modern approach to the looks of an explorer. The design and original ingenuity of this project comes from the hands and cooperation between Cantiere delle Marche and Mario Pediol with Massimo Gino of Nauta Design and represents the union between a modern super-yacht style and the typical explorer seaworthiness. From a certain point of view this original concept starts on the consideration of life at sea.  The accommodation plan on the 90 Nauta Air offers a four double suite arrangement, with a twin crew cabin aft.  Power comes from twin 885hp Cat engines which give a max speed of 16 knots, cruise of 13, and an economic 9 knots. This last giving an impressive 3200 nautical miles range, which is for sure among the best in this size.

New Model: Cantiere Delle Marche 96 Darwin Class

Its been one of the most talked new models coming from Italy this Summer, the new 96 Darwin Class titled ‘Stella di Mare’: a 30 meters Explorer yacht with rugged US ocean trawler and working tug-boat inspired looks designed by Sergio Cutolo and built by Cantieri delle Marche.  The yacht maintains the Darwin series features, but it differentiates from the previous 86 models of the same line particularly for the increased on-board volumes resulting in the possibility to dedicate more spaces to the crew, to the technical areas and to the guests.  For example in this hull one of the 96 the VIP suite has now almost the same volumes as the owner’s stateroom, and the main deck is considerably extended, as well as the guest cabin and the sun-deck this being enlarged up to fifty squared meters. Another example is the garage itself also ten squared meters bigger than the one on the 86 Darwin, and contains also 4 bikes, 2 of them electric, with their recharge battery station.  The Darwin 96 has a steel hull and a light alloy superstructure that can guarantee the maximum strength and durability, also considering the intense usage a super yacht like this is designed to undertake.

New Model: Cantiere Delle Marche 86 Darwin

Cantiere Delle Marche launched hull one of the 86 Darwin, the first in a series of explorer type 24 meters plus in size super yacht.  The 86 Darwin was designed by Sergio Cutolo for the external lines and all the engineering, while architects Floris and Veglia are responsible for the interiors. For the external lines Sergio Cutolo as his experience in explorer type yachts suggests puts strong references to the proportions and style of work boats, with a soft but "masculine" draft where the use of sharp edges are almost abandoned. With a length of 26 meters overall and a beam of over seven meters the 86 Darwin has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure and is characterized by internal volumes typical of larger boats.  She has over 350 squared meters of internal and external surfaces available in three decks for eight guests in four cabins. From a technical standpoint, the hull has been developed and optimized in order to ensure the achievement of high speed, relatively to the type of boat, without penalizing the performance at low speeds at which the maximum value of autonomy is realized. With two 384hp Cat engines the 86 Darwin can reach a top speed of 11 knots, and a cruise of ten can give a 7000 nautical miles range.  The Cantiere delle Marche is currently building a second 86 Darwin, which will be delivered before the end of the year and there are advanced negotiations for future boats.
