New Model: Viking 37 Billfish

Viking launch the awaited 37 Billfish, presented first at the VIP preview in end January to dealers and special guests, and then to the World at the 2017 Miami boat show.  The 37 Billfish is the new entry level for Viking and is a tweaked modernized unit of the Ocean Yachts of the same name launched in 2007.  The Billfish was one of the recent successes of Ocean Yachts which closed its doors in end 2015 and sold to the Egg Harbor Group the following year.  Sold all minus for the molds and design of the Billfish, which Viking bought and tweaked in a few areas; side windows, engine room air intake, and the shear line looks to have been smoothed out a bit.  With the 37 Billfish, Viking will be looking at competing not only as an entry level sport-fisherman but also in the traditional cruiser type.
