Project: Cayman 26 Ocean Vessel

An interesting project from Cayman yachts who with this new 26 Ocean Vessel enter the super yacht bracket above 24 meters.  Its a new segment for Italian builder Cayman Yachts who build a name in the last years thanks to its sports cruisers and yachts, hard-top or with flybridge, of a European design, with North American sport-fisherman subtle touches.  With this important upcoming flagship project Cayman enter also the Explorer segment.  But the 26 Ocean Vessel also signals other firsts for Cayman as it will be build of aluminium, will feature a displacement hull, and is a triple deck design.  Accommodation layout all located in the lower deck will feature four double cabins; one master stateroom, two VIP cabins, and a guest cabin.  The crew lobby features a galley plus two cabins.  Below will also be space for a small gym.  Designed by Hot Lab studio from Milan, the 26 Ocean Vessel has a tank tested hull, and a construction which is RINA certified and is to be powered by Man engines from 400hp, or optional 560 and 750hp units.

Projects: Cayman 50 Express, Cayman 57 HT

Italian Cayman Yachts presents two projects both over the fifteen meter dimensions, and to be completed by the end of this year. Pictured above are the renderings for the 50 Express which will also launch this new range by Cayman along the previous Flybridge, Hardtop, and Walk Around lines. The 50 Express is designed by Hot Lab studios. The interior will go out of the usual schematics of this size offering a privacy orientated plan with a lower deck having only two cabins; an owners suite to mid ship, and VIP room to fore. Below is also space for the galley, and the crew room located to mid ship behind the owners cabin, this being in a separate area and having the entrance from the aft part of the saloon. The main deck will be dedicated to living with an L-shaped saloon, and three part patio door joining this area with the aft cockpit. For the 50 Express, Hot Lab keep the much appreciated Cayman walk around deck with a very interesting fore deck settee which is surely hard to find in this size. Power is from twin Cummins 600hp with Cayman estimating a 33 knots top speed with this set up. The Cayman 57 HT will be the third model to join the hard top line which was presented in 2008 with the launch of the 75 flagship designed by Carlo Trezzi. As the 50 Express the 57 HT sees Cayman again trust design duties to Hot Lab studio. Here Hot Lab go for a more modern aggressive exterior, but keeping in line with concepts seen on the 50, as the settee on the fore deck. Interior space is for a three cabin plan, with the third cabin looking to be a transformable affair which can open up and be as a small settee on the lower deck. The galley is located below in between the masters suite to mid ship, and VIP room to fore. Power is from twin Cummins 715hp with Cayman estimating a very promising 33 knots top speed with this set up.

New Model: Cayman 60 HT

Following what was presented a year before with the 75 HT flagship, Cayman unveils the similar smaller sister with the new 60 HT model. Cayman did not want to complicate matters for the second model of the HT range, giving again design job to Carlo Trezzi. Previous to the 2008 presented 75 HT launched last year, all Caymans have been designed by Nuvolari Lenard. For the 60 HT Trezzi again gave Cayman a sporty elegant conservative look and just as the 75 HT abandons the bits of sportfish influence of the smaller models. Below it offers three fully en suite cabins, with the owners stateroom being a full beam mid ship layout. A single crew cabin with two berths is located aft. Project: Cayman 60 HT

Following the success of the new 75 HT flagship from Cayman Yachts which received a lot of attention during the 2008 Genoa Show, and will be delivered in two further examples this year, Cayman unveiled two further projects of the HT line presenting a 55 and a 65 earlier on this year. This new 60 HT project is a further development of the 55 HT, improving the underwater lines for bigger propulsion usage, and having further space on board. Confirming this size increase is further accommodation below and bigger engines compared to the 55 HT project. The concept seen for both the 55 and 65 HT is kept similar in the 60 HT, offering living on the main deck, and a lower deck reserved for accommodation. Size and space increase is the adding of an extra third en-suite head for the third guest cabin, versus the two en-suites in the 55. Power now has also been increased offering twin engines up to a total of 2400hp versus 1800hp for the 55 HT, with an anticipated maximum speed of 33 knots and all time cruising of 29 knots. Delivery of the first unit is scheduled for this summer with a second being also in building stages.

Projects: Cayman 55 HT, Cayman 65 HT

After presenting its new 75 HT flagship, Italian Cayman yachts continue to expand its range, with two new projects. Both of these two new Cayman Yachts are part of the HT range designed by Carlo Trezzi which takes a lot from the new 75 HT flagship launched in 2008, with similar looks outside. Pictured above is the 55 HT smaller of the two projects, both of which scheduled for launching later on this year. As for the new Cayman HT models, the new 55 follows the concept for an open fly boat, meaning to have features for both worlds in an enclosed hard top Sport Yacht, but still offering aft deck spaces and an upper saloon as a flybridge boat would have. The accommodation plan in fact shows all this solutions in the upper deck with galley and entertainment places all situated up top, and the lower deck reserved for a 3 cabins 2 heads layout with a full beam master cabin. Having an LOA of over 18 metres and a beam just short to five metres, the Cayman 55 HT should reach top speeds in the 35/34 knots region with a 30 knots cruising thanks to modest power coming from twin MAN 900hp engines.
The other project from Cayman Yachts is the new 65 HT, and will be the second model in size dimension for the Italian builder. Also designed by Carlo Trezzi, with the ever input from Cayman Yachts boss Luigi Prosperi the 65 HT wants to put the experience of the 75 HT in a slightly smaller package. So basically as the 55 and 75 HT it follows the concept of a hardtop Sport Yachts with living spaces on the main deck as a flybridge boat would be. Measuring an overall length of 21 metres with a beam of over six metres it will offer an accommodation plan of 3 guest cabins all with private heads. There is also the option for a crew berth located to fore with private head. The new Cayman wants also to offer an easy up and down lift choice for the tender with a high low bathing platform as standard. Cayman 65 HT can be powered by twin 1360hp or the bigger optional 1550hp MAN engines. With the bigger choice Cayman Yachts is estimating speeds up to 37 knots.

From the deck area it is possible to enter the double crew cabin with private bathroom, via a watertight door.
