New Model: Vicem 65 Classic Flybridge

Turkish boatbuilder Vicem Yachts has a new addition to its strong fleet of cruisers and yachts with the new 65 Classic Flybridge going into the water. The Vicem 65 Classic Flybridge prides itself on a timeless design inspired to DownEast lobster boats, total customization from construction in fiberglass or cold moulding and shafts or IPS pod propulsion, and excellence in craftsmanship. Those three characteristics run throughout its fleet, but perhaps nowhere are they more evident than aboard this new 65 Classic Flybridge.  This twenty meter Vicem offers an accommodation with two plus one stateroom layout, with an owners amidships master stateroom anda VIP suite forward.  In between the two suites is a galley and a dining/lounge room, with this dinette converting into an enclosed third cabin complete with sliding doors for privacy.  The Vicem 65 Classic Flybridge main deck has a massive, full-teak cockpit with an L-shaped settee and a second dining table for alfresco dinners. An aft galley in the salon has a small bar area with a sink, icebox, and icemaker that services two alfresco Besenzoni bar stools. Throughout all of these areas, Vicem’s trademark woodwork is on display. The builder relies on years of Turkish craftsmanship to produce beautifully appointed woods which are hard to find in the industry.  As for the boat’s namesake flybridge, there is a wetbar and barbecue, a third L-shaped settee, which can convert into a sunpad and the second outdoor helm.  The first Vicem 65 Classic Flybridge was powered by twin Volvo 725hp with line shaft propulsion which give a twenty knots top speed, though bigger 1000hp engines fitted IPS pod drives will take wide open throttle speeds to 32 knots.  Another feature of this hull #one is a Lithium battery set up which can operate the boat for fifteen hours with the use of generator.

Project: Vicem 93 Cruiser

Turkish shipyard Vicem Yachts has signed a contract for a 28 meter cold-molded superyacht 93 Cruiser for an Australian owner. Although the builder’s more recent launches have ranged in size between thirteen to twenty meters in size, the delivery of the Vicem 82 in January this year, alongside the growing popularity of its bigger superyacht models, has returned a trend back towards the shipyard’s well-known larger vessels. It is important to note that Vicem has in the past delivered super yachts up to 46 meters in length in its Mulder designed Vulcan series build of fiberglass. This new Vicem 93 Cruiser project is more in line with traditional yacht styling associated from the Turkish builder, and is making its way in Australia. The Vicem 93 Cruiser will offer an accommodation for twelve guests accommodated across four generous staterooms, and is designed with onboard comfort as her top priority, boasting high ceilings and large windows throughout and an airy and open design. Furthermore, alongside her numerous sunbathing and relaxation areas which can be enjoyed by guests, her flush deck is specially designed to boost ease of movement on board, with no steps found on the main or lower levels. Standout features on the Vicem 93 Cruiser include her large cockpit, equipped with sofa, table and ample space for twelve guests, as well as her generous flybridge which boasts its own Jacuzzi. Once again, accessibility is key for those on board, with easy access to the flybridge offered from both the saloon and cockpit. For those keen to make the most of their time on the water, a five-metre dinghy can be fitted on either the swim platform or the flybridge. The crew is also well-looked after by the Vicem 93 Cruiser and benefits from a well-equipped and large crew area, as well as being able to enjoy phenomenal ocean views from the helm. The Vicem 93 Cruiser packs a lot into her 28 metres, with ample storage space offered in the transom area and numerous additional storage spaces found throughout the vessel. Construction on the mold for the AMSA certificate compliant vessel has begun, with delivery expected in April 2023.

Project: Vicem 65 Classic

With three hulls already under construction, Turkish yacht builder Vicem Yachts is proud to announce the project of the restyled and re-engineered 65 Classic. To guarantee owners even more flexibility, the manufacturer will offer the yacht in either their traditional cold-molded construction, or mirroring other recent successes like the 50 Classic also in fiberglass. The advantage of the latter, among other things, is a faster delivery time for owners. Currently Vicem have three 65 Classic models under construction, with two fiberglass and one cold-molded hull in build. Vicem Yachts is well-known as one of the leading cold-molded wooden yacht builders in the world, but the company is equally accomplished at composite fiberglass construction. Fiberglass builds provide Vicem quicker turnarounds as well as easier maintenance, giving the customizable 65-footer a unique combination of style, value, performance and durability. The 65 Classic is also offered with two drivetrain choices, Volvo IPS or traditional line shaft providing the yacht a proven propulsion to achieve around a 23-knot cruising speed and top speeds exceeding 28 knots. Because the engine room is set aft under the cockpit, either installation provides the builder maximum flexibility on interior accommodations. Additionally, the engine room placement allows for significantly reduced engine noise to the accommodations deck. The new 65 Classic has a completely reworked interior whose showstopper is an optional full-beam, mid-ship master stateroom located just under the saloon. In the standard three-cabin configuration, the galley and accommodations live on the lower deck, allowing spacious seating options on the salon and through to the aft deck. Vicem took the opportunity while reworking the 65 Classic’s original design a downeast express-style yacht with high freeboard and traditional lines, this to increase the size of the already large light-gathering windows and portlights, particularly off the front and sides of the saloon. The former greatly improves the visibility from the helm while the latter provides natural light to all living areas of the boat. In addition to featuring three staterooms, two with ensuite heads, and plenty of stowage for longer trips, the 65 Classic offers a solution to suit any owner’s cruising lifestyle. Like others before it, the 65 Classic can also be ordered with a flying bridge as pictured in the rendering above.

A magnificent mahogany and glass triple slide door opens the spacious and sociable climate controlled salon to the cockpit doubling the entertainment area. The sprawling salon with various layouts optimizes conversation opportunities, as well as upper galley or lower atrium style galley choices selected by the owner. The starboard command station houses navigation and communication equipment in custom built mahogany cabinetry and provides the operator with excellent visibility. The deck and house-top structure use mahogany framing and beams. In addition, the builder has used acrylic coatings for the topsides and boot stripe. New Model: Vicem 46 Classic IPS

Vicem is proud to announce the successful world premier of the 46 IPS, the very first model of a new IPS line by the Turkish boat builder.  Presented at the Palm Beach boat show the 46 IPS is the first Vicem built in fiberglass epoxy in this size. Light and sturdy the Vicem 46 IPS has sufficient interior volume to allow the owner to choose between spacious two or three cabin designs. This 46 IPS is designed by Vicem’s in-house design team and has a classic look and provides a quiet, smooth ride.  The primary aim when designing the 46 IPS was to create comfortable and luminous spaces. When coming aboard, you enter first into the bar zone with, a comfortable L-shaped settee. The lounge and cockpit are separated by a sliding door: when open there is no longer any separation and a single large living space is created.  The lounge area offers comfortable seating to fully enjoy the entertainment systems, while the large side windows and front windshield provide excellent visibility and lots of daylight. For maximum comfort when under way, the helmsman has an ergonomic chair and the station is complete with up-to-date electronic instruments.  The importance of a side door to the lounge shouldn’t be underestimated as it considerably eases movement around the vessel, especially when mooring. The interiors, all air conditioned, are quite spacious this is thanks to the Volvo IPS engines that allow for a smaller engine room with obvious advantages for livability.  The standard layout for the sleeping area foresees two spacious double berth cabins and a functional open space galley.  The owner’s cabin has a queen size bed, ample storage space, an entertainment system and a private bathroom complete with shower. Through-hull windows provide excellent natural lighting.  The guest cabin is equipped with two single berths that can be joined to make a single queen-size bed, while the guest bathroom can also be used as a day-head.  The galley is fully equipped for long cruising and comes with two electric burners, a microwave oven and ample storage space.  Powered by two Volvo 435hp the Vicem 46 IPS reached a top speed is close to 30 knots, with a cruising of 26 knots. During her first sea trails, what most impressed was the incredible silence on board: at 25 knots, only 62 decibels were recorded.

Project: Vicem 100 Cruiser

Vicem Yachts,  from Turkey is finishing the build of its latest project to be introduced end September 2011: the 100 Cruiser.  Latest Vicem the 100 Cruiser is part of the series of Classic, Flybridge and Cruiser motor yachts ranging from fifty to 100 feet: the Vintage Line. The new 100 Cruiser epitomizes the three hallmarks of every Vicem yacht: exuding classic timeless looks, exemplifying the Vicem ideals for unmatched craftsmanship with a commitment to total customization, and the cold molded method of construction. But this timeless classic design Vicem has undergone a sophisticated makeover with a number of new refinements, thanks to Vicem’s in-house design team.  A mighty and powerful looking yacht which shows a lot of unrivaled prestige coming from the smaller 78 Cruiser sister.  Vicem's strengths are again utilized in this boat: from the use if wood and stainless steel in construction to the engineering resources necessary for the development of its Vee type hard chine semi-displacement hull.  Last but not least this super yacht maintains the Yard's DNA in custom or semi-custom production with a quality to price ratio that can be found only in Turkey, which can include full RINA class certification; Y pleasure class, and Malta commercial code. The standard version comes with five cabins for ten guests, an “over sized” U-shape Gaggenau kitchen, king size bed in the full-beam master stateroom and in the VIP suite. Two further guest cabins propose a queen-size and a twin beds double solution. The crew area is another sign of distinctiveness: three cabins with private toilets, double access and laundry and private area.  The Vicem 100 Cruiser contemporary twists are complemented by an updated exterior, and shows all its cruising character: a very high bow with a large and low cockpit to face rough seas for a pleasant and comfortable cruise in any weather. All on-board detail has been handcrafted to the highest standard and expertise: mahogany toe-rail and chromed brass or stainless steel hardware are just an example. Power arrangements are twin CAT engines 1550HP which allow the 100 Cruiser to reach cruising and maximum speeds of 17 and 21 knots, respectively.

Projects: Vicem 46 M Vulcan Tri-Deck, Vicem 35 M Vulcan Tri-Deck, Vicem 32 M Vulcan RPH

Vulcan presents the Vulcan Line a three model range which continues to establish the Turkish builder into the the Super Yacht world, of 24 plus meters in size.  The new series is thrillingly represented by the 46 M Tri-Decl, 35 M Tri-Deck, and 32 M RPH.  All the three models come from the design tables of renowned Dutch Naval Architect Frank Mulder and the award-winning firms of Art-Line Interiors, Wetzels Brown Partners and Ken Freivokh. Pictured above is the 46M which is built in a state-of-the-art facility in Antalya, Turkey. The 46 M is to be built in composite materials, applied with resin infusion and sandwich techniques, here chosen to achieve the best in strength-to-weight ratios.  The result: a 200 ton yacht, powered by twin 3650hp MTU engines, that delivers 25 knots top speed and efficient ocean crossing range at reduced econmic cruise. Her three decks plus Sundeck design provides outstanding elegance for a knowledgeable owner, and five cabins for the guests.  A signature design of the 46 M Vulcan Tri-Deck is the open Atrium which provides 45 feet of unbroken natural lighting, from the very top of the Sundeck all the way down to the lower deck. The main deck’s master suite uses every inch of this yachts thirty foot beam, and includes a CEO’s office and a private gymnasium. A graceful wraparound entry way leads to an inviting Jacuzzi and an arcing full-width head. Far aft is the galley, a dining area for ten, relaxing lounge, and a spacious upper lounge area.
The Vicem 35 M Vulcan Tri-Deck is a super yacht with a five stateroom layout, two of which are full beam layout.  There is a captain’s cabin on the main deck and two double crew cabins with a lounge and galley in the crew quarters. The double bed captain’s cabin is behind the wheelhouse on the third deck. The tender is hidden in the foredeck and there is additional garage storage aft, with a fold-down beach club. Designed outside by Frank Mulder this is a very sleek yacht for its length with no tenders visible.  The 35 M Vulcan Tri-deck is under construction in Vicem’s new facility in Tuzla, Turkey.  A more sleek 35 M Vulcan RPH should be available in the near future.  Watch this space for renderings.
The Vicem 32 M Vulcan RPH is a five stateroom epoxy with Corecell constructed to a Frank Mulder design super yacht. Frank Mulder has designed a totally unique yacht with easy access to the foredeck from the deck on the port side with the main deck on the starboard side, creating a full beam, on-deck master stateroom. In addition to five guest staterooms, the yacht has two crew cabins with en suite heads which has access from the galley. The main tender is on the flybridge deck, and there is space for two wave runners in a transom garage.  Power is from twin 1900hp Cat engines with top speed estimates of 23 knots.
