Project: O.B.P. S55 Altura

Another project from Italian builder O.B.P. which sees the Storm 55 in the third Altura version for this model.  The S55 Altura is the full sportfish version which characterizes aggressive hull lines, with a very expressive bow flare and a dramatic reverse shear line creating unique looks to this model.  A very sports tower and a free aft deck with two mezzanine seats to both sides are what makes the difference in this new Altura version on the outside.  But difference from the two other S55 Granturismo are also to be found inside with an interior being similar to what a US build sportfish yachts offer having two cabins, two shower heads, galley, and an L-shaped saloon settee.  This is the standard plan but O.B.P. does promise huge customisation to its builds, so interior choice is to a minimum of three plans available if you add the two other plans available for the other S55s.  Innovative hull lines are again the main feature of this O.B.P. S55 both above and below the water line, with underwater shapes having an Ax-Bow, with keel this hiding the option of having a third wing engine which is to be used for fishing from two to ten knots.  Main power is from twin 1200hp engines.

Projects: O.B.P. S55 Granturismo, O.B.P. S55 HT Granturismo

OBP Sport Fisherman Yacht from Rome, Italy continue to present new projects set to increase its range, which so far has only one model in the water. But company has a total of eight models in design rendering project stages with the 55 being one of them. The 55 will be available in three versions and here we present the more sport yacht orientated S55 Granturismo. The lines of the 55 continue the inspiration we saw on the 35 with a very flared bow and an aggressive reverse shear line making part of the unusual but catchy looks. Inside the S55 Granturismo will have a choice of two layouts; four cabins with three heads, or three cabins with a galley and saloon located below. Outside is a spacious twin level area with the lower aft part having two C-shaped settees, and the three steps raised part which also hard top covered having an a galley, large C-shaped settee, and three seats helm station. Power will be for up to twin 1200hp engines, with the AX-BOW-EVO hull giving very solid sea keeping characteristics. The O.B.P. S55 HT Granturismo follows the design of the standard S55, with the advantage of having a fully enclosed hard top main deck. The more forward raised area is closed by a patio door, this giving an all weather seasonal use to the S55 HT Grantusimo. Power and interior layouts are all the same; with a three or four cabins interior choice, and engine power up to twin 1200hp.

Project: O.B.P. S35 HT

O.B.P. Offshore Boats Professional is a company located in Fiumicino, Rome on the sea part of the Italian capital city. Its first model the S35 a fisherman with a US heritage in its shape, was designed by company owner Marco Amadio and launched in 2007. Now the S35 keeps the fisherman looks but gets added with a more cruising capability, with the S35 HT for hard top version. Unlike other companies O.B.P. did not just add an integrated rigid hard top to this new S35 version, but also modified the interior with a new separate two cabin layout below. The hardtop area is also now added with a patio door aft making this part of the S35 HT the living area, featuring a C-shaped settee to port, and fully equipped galley opposite. The aft deck as any respectable Sportfish Cruiser has been left free for any big game fishing duties. Power as the standard version is from twin 480hp Yanmar engines, with the builder estimating top speeds of 40 knots.
