Baglietto New Web Site

Baglietto from Italy presents its new web site.  Founded in 1854 at Varazze by Pietro Baglietto, as common in Italy in those times he bears his name to his boatyard and starts at his home back yard which is located at a short distance to the sea shore, building boats and rescue craft servicing merchant ships of the era.  Pietro Baglietto work is noticed and in 1888 is commissioned by notable members of the Genoese hierarchy to produce a skiff that is presented to Pope Leo XIII.  After 36 years working in his home back yard in 1890 Pietro moves to Varazze beach as he acquires a workshop shed in the area.  Enjoying a high profile with the skiff for the Pope, Pietro is commissioned Giuseppina which launched in 1906, and at 22.6m of length and 33 tonnes is the largest yacht built to that date in Italy, and in that year also produces one of the first hydrofoils for racers Crocco and Ricaldoni.   In 1911 Pietro passes away with the yard leadership taken over by Bernardo, helped by elder brother Giovanni Battista, and later on by the younger Stefano and Vincenzo.  In that same year Baglietto custom build the 13.5m motorboat Cio-Cio-San for the famous composer of Madama Butterfly, Giacomo Puccini.  During World War I Baglietto dedicates itself to building seaplanes and the Motobarca Armato Silurante as designed by Societa Veneziona Automobili Navali known as MAS boats.  In 1921 the youngest Vincenzo Vittorio takes over Baglietto technical direction, and shows his prowess in the following years as the Varazze name breaks records in different categories in the early part of the twenty century; 1923 the Baglietto I takes the world record in the 1.5 litre class reaching a speed of 32 knots in Monaco, 1927 it builds a seaplane that breaks the altitude record at 9,290 meters, 1931 it builds Lia III with a 12-liter Isotta Fraschini engine producing 330hp setting a new 53 knots World speed record, 1934 Ravanello achieves a top speed World record of 66 knots in the a 6-litre class, and in 1938 a new world record in the 800kg class is set by Alagi as it reaches eighty knots in the Gold Cup United States Asso RB l as helmed by Cattaneo, a race which it also wins.  Baglietto also wins the sailing 8mR French and Italian Cups in 1937 and 1938 with Bona.  During World War II and in between 1939 to 1945 Baglietto production is completely dedicated to the Italian state naval needs, and in this time expands its facility.  In the 1951 Pietro Baglietto junior starts to manage Baglietto, and in 1956 takes over technical direction and enters semi-production of wooden build pleasure cruiser and yacht series. It debuts with the Tigrotto 8.5 meters in 1956 constructed in two units, followed by the popular Elba 11.5 meters in 1958 sold in 42 units for a five year production run, and debuting what will be called the island series.  The Elba is followed by the Ischia 16m a year later, Capri 14m in 1961, and Minorca 20m and Minorca 22m in 1962 which also debuts Italian designer Paolo Caliari. In 1962 Gianni Agnelli custom commisions the GA 40 as designed by Paolo Caliari for exterior and interior and technical direction by Renato Sonny Levi.  The island series is replaced by the more angular and futuristic M series as designed by Caliari in 1964, debuting with the 18M and will include the 20M as produced from 1968 to 1977 in 73 units.  In 1976 Baglietto looks at aluminium to build larger yachts, and launches the first in this material called the Nauta, it's largest build to that date and the first of the 26m series, build in four more units in a ten year semi-production run.  Following ten years as flagship the 26m is superseded by the custom Baglietto 46 meter in 1986 as designed by Giovanni Zuccon and named Al Fahedi.  A larger Baglietto to 46 meters will arrive with the semi production 53 meter series with the first unit hull C.10191 delivered in 2006 and two other units delivered.  Larger yachts come again in 2009 as Baglietto delivers the custom 59.4 meter hull number C.10201 as designed inhouse, and in 2026 as it delivers its first T60 as designed by Francesco Paszkowski and to date sold in three units.  Since 1983 Baglietto is not owned by its founding family as in that year it is sold to Leopoldo Rodriquez of Rodriguez Shipyard from Messina.  Ten years later in 1993 Rodriguez sells to Giampiero Moretti who will have to force sell after two years as Baglietto enters in liquidation.  In 1995 Baglietto is purchased by the partnership of Guido Orsi and Gaspare Borghini, these two will also expand Baglietto to La Spezia as they purchase the Cantieri Ferrari in La Spezia.  Orsi and Borghini will sell in 2004 to Camuzzi Group who will own Baglietto till the end of September 2010.  In November 2011 Gavio Group will buy the Baglietto name and its La Spezia shipyard, owned since 1996, but will have to let go the original Varazze facility.  Currently Baglietto offers seven yachts, divided into the three Lines; DOM, T-Line, and Fast Line, and start with the DOM115 and go up to the T-Line 60, of the semi-production series.  Currently Baglietto is also offering two custom builds on speculation with the Project53 and Project56 both designed by Enrico Gobbi.  Baglietto new website is available in Italian and English language and takes you around with the following buttons; About Us, Yachts, Boutique, News, and Contacts. Baglietto is also on social media with bottom tabs taking you to its; Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Vimeo, and Youtube pages.

Jeanneau Cruiser Saved from Sinking in Costa Brava Spain

An eight meter Jeanneau sport cruiser with three persons and two dogs onboard was saved from sinking near Costa Brava to the West of Spain at 14:35 of Sunday eighteen June 2023.  The boaters called Salvamentos Maritimos for assistance, who then asked for the fast help of SeaHelp, which has started to operate a rib in the area.  In the meantime the boaters were assisted by a nearby boater who took two of the boaters and the dogs, with the SeaHelp rib then towing the sport cruiser to a safe harbour.  The boaters were then later assisted by the Mossos D'Esquarda Policia and then Salvamento Maritimos who arrived at the scene.
The boat in this accident is a Jeanneau Leader 805 as designed by Garroni and produced from 1999 to 2009 in 1300 units.  The Leader 805 was a replacement to the Leader 800 and was replaced by the Jeanneau Leader 8.

Project: Horizon V74 EVO

Horizon present the V74 EVO representing a refined evolution of design, performance, and onboard atmosphere, officially unveiled during the Düsseldorf Boat Show,. The V74 Evo is presented as Horizon’s next step for the European market. Conceived with a clear focus on proportion rather than excess, the V74 EVO draws from superyacht design principles to deliver comfort, confidence, and balance at sea. Her exterior lines reveal a purposeful hull form: a fine waterline entry paired with controlled flare above, engineered to manage spray, restore lift, and ensure a composed ride. The open flybridge reinforces this philosophy, offering a clean, well-structured layout with generous seating and lounging areas that feel open, social, and uncluttered. Inside, the V74 EVO reveals a carefully curated interior world. The main deck salon is bright and welcoming, defined by soft neutral tones, textured fabrics, and subtle leather accents that create a warm, residential ambiance. Large windows flood the space with natural light, while fluted glass details, refined cabinetry, and balanced proportions add depth and visual rhythm without overwhelming the senses. The galley and dinette area continue this understated elegance. Stone surfaces inspired by Calacatta quartz, combined with warm wood finishes and refined flooring, elevate the space beyond pure functionality, designed to feel equally natural for everyday cruising or entertaining guests on longer passages. Below deck, the atmosphere becomes more intimate and serene. The full-beam master cabin is conceived as a private retreat, with leather-wrapped elements, teak finishes, and soft textiles working together to create a calm, cocoon-like environment. Carefully considered lighting and material choices emphasize comfort and privacy, while the VIP and guest cabins echo the same design language, delivering a consistent, high-end experience throughout. The mood board tells a clear story: an interior that feels timeless, warm, and designed to age gracefully free from short-lived trends and focused instead on long-term enjoyment.  The first Horizon V74 EVO is scheduled to launch this Summer 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the V-Series.

Projects: Ocean Alexander Puro 30P, Ocean Alexander Puro 40P

Ocean Alexander proudly announces the completion of its Puro Series with the introduction of the new 30P and 40P, joining the 35P to form a fully realized trilogy. First unveiled in March 2024 at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale boat show, the Puro 35 has to date been sold in five units,  Now Ocean Alexander completes the Cassetta designed series with the announced of the the 30P and 40P, with both set to make their world debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2026. More than the launch of two new models, this moment marks the full expression of the Puro vision. What began with the 35P has evolved into a complete family of yachts shaped by purity of form, global appeal, and a distinctly modern view of luxury on the water. Created in collaboration with Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta and naval architect Andrea Agrusta of NavalHEAD, the Puro Series was conceived as a fresh expression of global luxury. Rather than follow passing trends, the series takes a more disciplined and enduring approach. The lines are clean, the spaces feel composed, and the experience on board is designed to feel effortless, elegant, and deeply considered. The 30P brings that philosophy into a size that feels highly versatile and remarkably approachable, while still carrying the presence expected from Ocean Alexander. The 35P remains the center piece of the collection, the yacht that first introduced the market to the Puro design language. While the Puro 40P expands Ocean Alexander size by three meters to the current 37L, becoming the new flagship and its largest yacht to date.  The Puro 40 apart bringing greater scale and presence will preserving the same clarity of vision that defines the series. That sense of completion extends beyond styling, neneath the beauty of the series is a platform shaped to support confident cruising, comfort, and long term enjoyment. With the Puro Series now complete, Ocean Alexander presents a new chapter for the brand, one that feels assured, elegant, and distinctly of the moment. Together, the 30P, 35P, and 40P represent a clear vision of contemporary yachting for owners who value beauty, purpose, and a yacht that feels as extraordinary underway as it does at rest. The 30P and 40P are now available to explore online and are scheduled to debut at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale boat Show.

AB Yachts announces the launch at its Viareggio shipyard of the first unit of the AB 95S, the Sport version of the AB 95 which debuted in mid 2025, created to further enhance the brand’s high-performance DNA. With the 95S AB Yachts confirms its vocation for speed and technological innovation, presenting a yacht designed for owners seeking adrenaline and speed on the water, added with safety and style and comfort. Project: Focus 5X

Debuting the X-line with the eleven meter 3X in 2025, Focus follows it with the second 5X project, a sixteen meter sport yacht set to arrive later this year, and largest yacht to be build by the Dutch production boat builder. Flexibility is the key word of the Focus 5X with it's main deck designed for complete adaptability, with hydraulic side windows, electric glass roof, and convertible deck, the 5X transforms from a fully open day-boat to a closed cockpit yacht offering privacy and protection from the elements. At the stern, the full-width hydraulic swim platform provides easy access to the sea or shore, while the integrated dinghy garage allows effortless tender launch and recovery.  The Focus 5X has a standard accommodation layout of two double cabins with a C-shaped saloon and galley in between the cabins, and three heads.  The saloon can be changed for a third cabin with twin bunk beds.  Full personalization is also part the Focus 5X from the choice of exterior colours, interior wood finishes, Flexiteak decking style, upholstery materials, as well as the finishes of all metal details such as railing and fixtures.  The Focus 5X is to be powered by Volvo 725hp with IPS pod drives as standard, and MAN 850hp with line shaft propulsion.  Speed numbers are not yet announced.

Classic Baglietto Partly Sinks in Aregai Marina, Imperia Italy

A classic sixteen meter Baglietto flybridge yacht partly sank in Aregai Marina at Santo Stefano al Mare, Imperia on the morning of Wednesday first April.  Following the part sinking a pollution protection boon was surrounded to the classic yacht.  The cause of the sinking was not reported, with speculation attributing the cause to a failed through hull fitting.  The yacht ownership was advised of the part sinking, and advised to float the yacht and take it for repairs.
The classic yacht in this part sinking is a Baglietto 16M50 as designed by Paolo Caliari and produced from 1967 to 1972 in 58 units.  The 16M50 was a replacement to the 16M and was replaced by the Baglietto Ischia 80 of seventeen meters.

Boat Shows Compete

Boat shows are really competing in these times.  In USA we have a three boat show top spot challenge with the Palm Beach Boat Show being the challenger who in recent years is competing to the other two long standing Fort Lauderdale and Miami boat shows.  In Naples, Italy a competition has come between three boat shows were probably no one is really winning.

Miami is feeling the competition from the Palm Beach boat show and in the 2026 edition responded with some changes.  The important change was returning the in-water part of the show to Collins Avenue, alongside Miami Beach.  Since 2019 the water part of the show was held at Miami Marine Stadium Park and Basin, just north of downtown Miami.  Now the water part of the show has returned in central Miami, in a more central location and next to some of the famous hotels of the area.  The bad news for the Miami 2026 boat show was that Viking, and Invincible and Yellowfin both owned by Eagle Tree Capital did not participate at the show.

This though was soon forgotten as many boat and yacht builders showed support to the show to the best of there means, by making important World debuts at the show.  Nothing beats boaters interest then the debut of new models.  Aquila, Boston Whaler, Formula, Galeon, Grady White, Intrepid, Nor-Tech, Pardo, Regal, Sabre, Sea Ray, Tiara, Tidewater, and WallyPower.  The most high profile debut was the one from Boston Whaler, presenting in its 68 years story its first stepped hull design, and debuting the two new 290 and 330 Outrage models with the new hull shape.  Mercury also presented the 808hp outboard concept for the first time in a boat show, after showing it for the first time at the 2026 CES in Las Vegas.

An important note comes from the three World debuts from European boat makers; Galeon, Pardo, and Wally.  The Pardo and Wally world debuts rightly so involved more North American desired outboard versions of already shown inboard models, while Galeon world debuted the 520 Fly.  Galeon which is distributed by MarineMax in North America has had a growing success which today has become a strong following in the continent.  It is also not the first time that Galeon World debuts a model in Miami, with the 560 Fly in 2023 also debuting at the show.

Miami showed its muscles in the sub fifty foot sizes, a foot-hold it has always had to be fair.  The known format has always been that the Fort Lauderdale is the show for the big yachts, while Miami was more the one of the smaller sub fifty foot boats.  With the return to Collins Avenue, Miami hope to capture the attention of larger yachts, and compete more even with the Palm Beach show in the near future.

In Naples Italy, we have a different situation were we have a three boat show competition, and probably a couple more if one includes nearby Lazio-Rome province.  In the noughties decade the Naples Nauticsud boat show became Italy's second boat show, then came the Big Recession of the 2008, and the show went on a diet and a shadow of its former self, reduced in size with the water part of the show in the centre of Naples in Mergellina removed and not returned to this day.  During the twenty tens then the Navigare Boat Show held in November started to grow, and this year the Naples Boat Show at Marina di Stabia also debuted.  Naples is trying hard to capture its second spot again, but the reality is that none of these shows can compete with Venice, because La Serenissima is backed by the big Italian names.

The second in size Italian boat show, has always been a challenging affair. In the eighties and the growth of pleasure boating in Italy to new heights the second spot was taken by the short lasting Viareggio boat show.  Following the early nineties recession Naples started to grow in the late nineties taking the spot as second largest boat show till the early twenty-tens.  The twenty-tens is a mixed decade with Viareggio taking the spot for some years, before Venice takes the spot in the twenty-twenties.

Azimut Hong Kong Rendez-vous 2026

Azimut Yachts and Azimut Yachts Hong Kong, represented by Marine Italia - the brand’s official dealer for Hong Kong, Macau, Southern Mainland China, Taiwan, and Singapore - successfully gathered over 200 guests at the Lantau Yacht Club for the highly anticipated Azimut Hong Kong Rendez-vous 2026. Held from March 14 to 15, the event stood as a powerful testament to the brand’s deep resonance in the Asia-Pacific region, with a spectacular fleet of Azimut yachts whose owners sailed across the waters to celebrate alongside kindred yachting enthusiasts.  Building on last year’s successful Tokyo debut, the Asian Rendez-vous confirms the region's strategic importance for Azimut, where a remarkable turnout highlighted the brand’s unique appeal to both first-time admirers and devoted owners from across Asia, spanning Shenzhen, Taiwan, and Singapore. By perfectly tuning in to local needs with a highly diversified range, Azimut continues to foster a close-knit community who choose the shipyard time and again.  The Rendez-vous also marked two significant milestones: the Asian debut of the Magellano 30M and the historic arrival of the world’s first Grande 30M unit, officially delivered to her owner. Unveiled at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, the new Grande 30M features a striking exterior design by Alberto Mancini and interiors by the renowned Italian architectural firm m2atelier. The vessel introduces a suite of features perfectly suited to the Asian lifestyle, most notably the 'All-day' deck: a fully walkaround upper deck centered on a panoramic lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows opening on three sides. This expansive, fluid space allows guests to move effortlessly between the aft and forward lounges, while the indoor area provides a private setting for media or dining, offering a perfect balance of privacy across generations without ever compromising the pleasure of shared moments.  At the stern, the ingenious Deck2Deck™ Terrace – a brilliant design touch achieved by raising the transom – seamlessly extends the cockpit into a flawless continuum over the sea. This creates an unprecedented 25-square-metre terrace suspended over the water, an architectural feat that redefines the boundaries of open-air conviviality in this segment.  Throughout the event, guests explored the diverse identities of the Azimut range. Alongside the Grande 30M and Magellano 30M, the Fly 78, Magellano 60, and Fly 62 were also on display, offering a comprehensive overview of the brand's continuous evolution and its ability to interpret different on-board lifestyles.   The yacht showcase was enhanced by tailored experiences crafted alongside the event’s partners, including Pagani, who displayed cars that brought to life the same values shared by Azimut: the perfect union of cutting-edge technology and master craftsmanship. «With this Rendez-vous, Marine Italia has successfully created an immersive experience that reflects the brand's values,» said Azimut’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jad Zakkak Migliorini, who attended the event. «Through private cruises, curated partner experiences, and exclusive entertainment, our guests engaged with a lifestyle that transcends the yacht itself. This has further strengthened the bond with the Shipyard, reflecting our ability to build lasting relationships that continue well beyond the delivery of the vessel.»  With its deep-rooted local presence and multiple locations providing comprehensive services, Marine Italia exemplifies Azimut’s localized strategy in APAC. Built on dedicated partners in each territory, this distribution model enables the Shipyard to leverage deep market intelligence and cultivate direct, personalized relationships with every owner, reflecting an entrepreneurial vision focused on long-term value creation.  «The presence of 200 owners at the Lantau Yacht Club is the ultimate celebration of the lifestyle we have built together,» concluded Paul Grange, co-founder and COO of Marine Italia. «Welcoming the world’s first Grande 30M to our waters, with its brilliant Deck2Deck™ Terrace and 'All-day' deck, perfectly illustrates how Azimut continues to innovate in response to our owners’ needs. This Rendez-vous reaffirms that our commitment to local expertise and personalized relationships is what creates lasting value for our owners across Hong Kong, Singapore, and beyond.»

Ferretti Group Convergence 2026

There was a high turnout and keen interest shown by participants in the 19th edition of Convergence, the annual event held this year from March 15 to 18, which brought the captains and chief engineers of Ferretti Group yachts together in Italy.  After the international locations featured in recent years, the focus of the 2026 event was on the new Ravenna shipyard and the Superyacht Yard in Ancona, two of the Group’s production hubs. This decision was taken to promote these areas and industrial districts, which are cornerstones for the development of Ferretti Group and the Italian yachting industry as a whole.  Captains and chief engineers from around the world had the chance to see the shipyards first-hand, as well as the innovative development and production processes used, all the result of significant investment in recent years. Convergence continues to be a key opportunity for the technical community of maritime professionals who work every day on board the Group’s yachts to catch up with the latest developments.  Once again this year, Convergence was supported by top-tier main sponsors: QuickGroup, marine equipment and complex integrated systems; RINA, ship certification and classification; Sleipner, thrusters and fin stabilizers; Volvo Penta, marine engines and propulsion systems. They were joined by the technical sponsors: Amare Group, kinematics and glass and steel components; Asea Power Systems, shore power solutions; Baudouin, marine engines and generators; Garmin, navigation electronics and multifunction displays; MAN, high-performance marine engines; MTU, engines and propulsion systems; Nanni, marine generators; Seakeeper, gyroscopic anti-roll stabilizers; Navico-Simrad, navigation electronics and instrumentation; Videoworks, audio-video systems, home automation and connectivity for yachts.  Participants were shown and briefed on how Ferretti Group reaches out to its partners right from the earliest stages of the new product design process, with those partners offering their expertise and support to achieve the goal of products that are increasingly innovative, safe and extremely high quality.   The focus of day one, after the participants had arrived, was on plenary sessions and strategic alignment. The proceedings kicked off with a technical session on the product development and integrated design processes, after which the management team presented an overview of the Group's performance, international positioning and future prospects. The final session provided updates on sales, developments and new products.  Day two was organized at the Ravenna shipyard, the most recent and extensive of Ferretti Group’s seven production sites. Participants were able to see first-hand all the main stages in the yacht construction process: from the fibreglass hull and component moulding department through to the paint booths and the boat construction and assembly yards.  There was a special focus on the innovative Digital Production system, which integrates the engineering department’s design processes with physical production in the shipyards. Participants also visited the models currently under construction in the wallywhy range and Ferretti Yachts INFYNITO line, as well as being given an overview of the yachts’ technical specifications and the state of progress of work. In the dock area, participants were able to admire a series of units already launched and ready for delivery, as well as taking part in demonstrations and presentations by the technical partners: Amare, Garmin, MAN, Nanni, QuickGroup, Seakeeper, Simrad, Volvo Penta.  On day three, participants visited the Ancona shipyard, the strategic hub for superyacht production. They explored the production areas where current models are under construction – Custom Line Navetta 35 and Custom Line Saetta 128’ prototypes, 86m CRN M/Y 144, 67m CRN M/Y 146, and Custom Line 50 – as well as the dock area and the Superyacht Division’s new facilities, which were recently refurbished with a significant investment by Ferretti Group.  In the space set aside for technical partners, participants attended demonstrations and presentations organised by Asea|Magnus, Baudouin, MTU, Sleipner and Videoworks. There was also an after sales & service corner providing information about the services the Group offers its customers.  The final day gave participants the chance to satisfy their curiosity and ask questions that were answered by representatives from the Engineering and Sales departments.  Rina then gave a presentation on the certification and classification of the yachts built by Ferretti Group, which has always ensured customers the highest standards of safety and quality, complete with supplementary, non-mandatory certifications.  After a fun final session with a prize Quiz, attendees received their Certificates of participation.  To sum up, the annual Ferretti Group event was a resounding success, providing a forum for yachting professionals to exchange ideas with the industrial ecosystem that underpins yacht design and construction.

Ferretti Group CEO Guest Speaker at Harvard Business School

Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group CEO, was invited as special guest to the Harvard Business School in Boston on March 24, where he gave a lecture to students on the Owner/President Management Programme.  The OPM is a 24-month executive programme for entrepreneurs, founders and CEOs, designed to support business growth, fine tune strategies and guide leaders through the transition from operational managers to strategic owners, drawing on a teaching approach based on real-life case studies.  In his speech, Alberto Galassi shared his vision of contemporary luxury, emphasising that it is not solely about the product or exclusivity, but primarily an expression of corporate and human culture.  Ferretti Group offers its customers a unique and unforgettable experience, because its boats are the result of industrial craftsmanship that combines unrivalled skill and heritage with an extraordinary drive for innovation.  On this subject, he underscored that people are the company’s key competitive advantage and distinctive feature, playing a crucial role in creating value and building up the corporate identity.  Mr Galassi also outlined the growth of Ferretti Group, highlighting how it has largely been organic, underpinned by a strong brand identity and a sharp focus on quality. Sanlorenzo Financial Results Confirm 2025 Guidance

The Board of Directors of Sanlorenzo, chaired by Mr. Massimo Perotti, today approved the consolidated financial statements and the draft separate financial statements as of 31 December 2025.  In particular highlights: 2025 growth across the main metrics sees all financial targets achieved, with Group Net Profit of €107.4 million (+4.2% YoY) and €3.04 EPS net of treasury shares. BoD proposing a €1.05 DPS for FY 2025 (34.6% payout ratio).  Material acceleration in demand across the portfolio: €943.1 million Order Intake in FY 2025 (+16.0% YoY), representing a €130 million uplift compared to the previous year – driven by the success of extraordinary new model launches and enduring brand desirability and strengthened distribution in MED, APAC and U.S.. Q4 2025 marks the 6th consecutive quarter of YoY growth in Order Intake, with €253 million new orders collected in the quarter (+10.1% YoY).  Exceptional order book, with €1.96 billion Order Backlog. 88% of orders are secured by final clients, reflecting the superior quality of the order book and Sanlorenzo’s scarcity model. Net Backlog consistently above €1 billion, thanks to a FY 2025 book-to-bill ratio of ~1x, which maintains the Net Backlog at solid levels over time while growing the top line.  Massimo Perotti, Executive Chairman, commented: “In line with the preliminary release, our actual FY2025 results confirm a strong performance, reflecting the enduring appeal of a brand deeply valued by connoisseurs and a vision delivered with consistency.  “Even in a global environment influenced by several factors of external instability, including the new developments in the Middle East, Sanlorenzo continues to distinguish itself through positioning, innovation and scarcity. We hold a strong Order Backlog, representing more than 1 billion euros on a net basis, made up of high-quality orders which reflect the privileged relationship we nurture with a growing global club of sophisticated yacht owners.  “The strengthening of our direct distribution network with Simpson Marine across APAC and Sanlorenzo Med in Europe is paying off, increasing our proximity to clients. At the same time, when combined with the scarcity of our volumes, our direct sales footprint - from Florida to Hong Kong, and Cannes to Sydney - allows us to respond quickly to the evolution of demand across different geographic areas. Avoiding any risk of dealer stock build-up typical in the industry at times of changing market dynamics.  “With respect to the Middle East, our direct exposure is limited, at around 7% of revenues. We continue to monitor the geopolitical situation closely, and it is worth noting that many of our Middle Eastern clients use their yachts primarily in the Mediterranean. We keep seeing the region as an attractive long-term growth market.  “A highlight of 2025 is Nautor Swan achieving net income profitability in just its first year of consolidation. Operational initiatives remain on track, efficiency actions are progressing, and business development is accelerating, with new product lines expected to strengthen the margin mix in the coming years.  “We have entered 2026 with a promising start and look forward to presenting our new Business Plan on 8 May at Casa Sanlorenzo in Venice, together with the Q1 2026 results, as we host our first proprietary exhibition during the Biennale Arte.”

Malibu is a great cultural fit, and we look forward to the development opportunities this larger organization will offer our team.”  Saxdor confirms it will continue to operate as a standalone global brand, with its management team remaining in place. Saxdor’s brand, commercial model, and partnerships remain foundational as the company begins this next chapter with MBI. Founder and Chief Designer Sakari Mattila will also continue in his role as Head Designer, bringing his full commitment and vision to the brand as it grows within the Malibu family.  Joining Malibu Boats enhances Saxdor’s global growth potential by filling a unique niche in the premium recreational boating market and complementing Malibu’s portfolio – which includes brands like Malibu, Axis, Cobalt, Pursuit, Cobia, Pathfinder, Maverick, and Hewes – offering high-quality boats at competitive price points. Saxdor also brings a new wave of younger and first-time boating customers to the combined portfolio. At the same time, with North America currently representing only a portion of Saxdor’s revenue, the brand sees meaningful opportunity to grow in partnership with MBI.

Viking Team Galati Wins Los Suenos

Team Galati, a Viking 64, arrived at Leg III of the Los Sueños Triple Crown with its sights set on history. Holding the 2nd Place Overall position entering the final event, the team knew the fight for a fourth Series Championship would be fierce.  “We were down in both the series and the leg going into the final day,” said Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “And we turned it around. It was an unbelievable run Saturday and we just crushed it. We won the leg by 13 releases and the series by nine.”  The surge sealed Team Galati’s fourth Triple Crown title and underscored one of the most dominant performances at Los Sueños in recent years.  “Great work by the whole team – from the top with Brad Kicklighter in the tower to Captain Tony Carrizosa,” said angler Thomas Garmany. “Tony put us on the fish. He made three moves today and every single one paid off. I wouldn’t want to fish with anyone else.”  For Tony, the win meant more than just tactics. “It’s teamwork, we’re a brotherhood,” said Tony. “It was great competition this year. They pushed us hard, but we were on a mission.”  Other notable accomplishments across the Viking fleet added to the story. The Viking 76 Black Hawk claimed 5th Place Overall while the Viking 64 Fish Tank was 6th Overall. The Viking 64 Lucky 7 released an impressive 44 sails on Day 2 of Leg III for the Daily High Point Boat award.  “It was another incredible year competing in the most challenging tournament series in the world,” said Viking Sales Representative Joe Coyle, who fishes on the Viking 64 Fish Tank. “The leaderboard changes by the minute and this year was a prime example of the emotional highs and lows. I’m really excited for Team Galati for their well-deserved win – and already counting down for next year.”  But it’s not just a brotherhood in the cockpit. “We have the best boats and the best team in the industry,” said Pat. He credited the championship to a complete package – the boat, the captain and crew, the anglers – while also recognizing the broader effort behind every Viking. From engineering and design to manufacturing and the skilled boatbuilders on the line, each plays a role in the company’s philosophy of building a better boat every day – a commitment that delivers results on the water.  The win continues a remarkable run for Team Galati at Los Sueños, with four Triple Crown titles in the past six years – 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2026. Notably, those victories have come aboard three different Viking models – a 62, a 58 and most recently two separate 64s – underscoring the consistency of the team alongside the evolution of Viking’s platforms. The sustained success reflects a proven program that continues to perform at the highest levels of tournament fishing.  The tournament is fished out of Playa Herradura on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific.

Viking at IGFA Open

Team Galati took 3rd Place at the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) Open in Quepos, Costa Rica, after winning the inaugural event last year. With Captain Tony Carrizosa at the helm of the Viking 64, the team released a blue marlin and 67 sails. Pat Healey, Justin Healey, Sean Dooley, West Rivers, Thomas Garmany and Lance Hightower worked the cockpit in two days of intense competition.  Scarlet, a Viking 46 Billfish, weighed the Heaviest Yellowfin. Eduardo Carbone Maffio Ruiz landed the 42.1-pound tuna.

Viking at Jimmy Johnson Quest for the Rink Championship Fishing Week

Priceless, a Viking 48, brought the energy to the 15th annual Jimmy Johnson’s Quest for the Ring Championship Fishing Week, Florida.  Fresh off a victory at the Sailfish Challenge, the crew released 13 sailfish to secure 3rd Place Release Team, 2nd Place Overall and 1st Place Big Boat.  A regular on the Fish Week podium, the Viking 90 Just Chillin flew 11 flags to take 3rd Place Overall and 2nd Place Big Boat.  Stay tuned for the East Coast version – Jimmy Johnson’s Atlantic City Quest for the Ring Championship Fishing Week this July. Last year, the Viking 64 Polarizer stepped into the Ring of Honor.

Viking at Sailfish Challenge

The Viking 48 Priceless surged from seventh place to the top of the Sailfish Challenge leader board after a dramatic final‑minute rally.  The team ended Day One with six sailfish releases and started Day Two by running south, a move called by Captain Jorge Sanchez. The shift paid off as Priceless steadily climbed the standings.  With lines out approaching, two teams were tied at 17 releases and Priceless sat in third with 16. In the final minute, with one fish on, the team hooked up with a double. All three were released, giving Priceless 19 total sails and the tournament win.  The crew included Zeb de Tuya, Noah Wildstein, Johnny Vilorio, Esteban Bruna, Alex Alvarez, Marcello Pares, Matthew Rodriguez, Raymond Romero, Jeffrey Fiorentino, Bernie Perez, Jordan Gruber and Eddy Pulles – named Master Angler of the event.  Prime conditions and a steady bite produced 358 sailfish releases across a record 62‑boat fleet. The Sailfish Challenge was the second of three legs in the Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series. The victory puts Priceless in first place overall heading into the final event, the Final Sail, in April.
