The Patrone 45′ Convertible marks a new chapter in the evolution of the Ligurian gozzo, introducing a cruising yacht conceived for those who believe the greatest luxury is spending more time at sea. Making its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 in September, the new Patrone flagship combines the timeless elegance and Mediterranean heritage of the Ligurian gozzo with an innovative approach to onboard living. Designed by Tommaso Spadolini, the P45′ Convertible has been created for owners who enjoy longer cruises without compromising on comfort, versatility or style. Following the design path initiated by the Patrone 100 and continued with the 45 Open, the 45 Convertible further expands the Patrone philosophy. While remaining faithful to the unmistakable character of the traditional Ligurian gozzo, it introduces a completely new interpretation of onboard living, where flexible spaces and residential comfort become the defining features of the experience. At fourteen metres overall, the Patrone 45 Convertible is designed around one simple idea: creating more space for life on board. The cockpit is available in two distinct configurations. Owners can choose between a central seating area that converts into an additional sun-pad or a wraparound seating arrangement designed to encourage conversation and socialising. At the centre of the yacht lies a generous saloon featuring an original 360-degree seating concept and a convertible dinette, creating an open and versatile living area that naturally adapts throughout the day. The result is a yacht conceived not only for cruising, but for enjoying every moment spent on board. The defining innovation of the Patrone 45′ Convertible is not immediately visible but it changes the entire onboard experience. For the first time in the shipyard’s history, the galley has been relocated below deck, freeing the entire main deck and transforming the saloon into a spacious environment dedicated exclusively to relaxation, dining and entertaining. Despite its position below deck, the galley remains remarkably bright thanks to generous hull side glazing, Patrone’s signature hull windows and the open connection to the deck above. Natural light flows throughout the space, maintaining a constant visual relationship with the sea while creating an exceptional sense of openness rarely found on a yacht of this size. Designed with the functionality of a home kitchen, it features an induction hob, oven, large-capacity refrigerator, dishwasher and watermaker, everything required to make extended cruising effortless and enjoyable. The interiors reflect the same philosophy. Limed and bleached oak, abundant natural light and carefully balanced proportions create an atmosphere of understated elegance, while fabrics, finishes and colour palettes can be fully customised to suit each owner’s personal taste. Accommodation is arranged for up to six guests, with a full-beam owner’s cabin, a twin guest cabin and two additional berths obtained from the convertible dinette. Two independent bathrooms provide privacy and comfort during longer stays on board, reinforcing the yacht’s vocation as a true Mediterranean cruiser. The Patrone 45 Convertible is powered by twin Volvo 440hp with IPS pod drives combining effortless handling with the seaworthiness that has always distinguished the shipyard’s boats, making every cruise as enjoyable as every destination.

New Model: Patrone 45 Open
Patrone presents the 45 Open, its new flagship and largest build to date which debuted at the 2024 Cannes boat show the past September. The Patrone 45 Open takes over the mantle of flagship from the 42 which debuted in 2000 and follows the style the Italian Savona boat builder has given to the Ligurian Gozzo in the past decades adding to the latest evolution coming from the 100 model presented in 2022 which was also designed by Tommaso Spadolini. Patrone has since the advent of the 42 Open in year 2000 also flavoured the usually cabin featured Ligurian Gozzo with more day open cruiser style. For his second Patrone duty Spadolini follows the 45 Open with a similar style to the 100 but adds new elements as the open Targa integrated T-top, and unlike most of the competition in this segment presented a cabin cruiser spacious lower deck, but also a traditional cruiser which offers exterior stem to stern spaces for easy day usage. On the other hand for Patrone Moreno the 45 Open solidifies its boutique boat builder and customization credentials offering nine different layout choices; six for the lower deck for one to three double cabin choices, and three for the main deck. As an example the first Patrone 45 Open which was named Allegria meaning Happiness in English featured a three double cabins two head lower deck and a main deck with the CLounge layout with the forward looking C-shaped dinette. The Patrone 45 Open presents a balance of comfort both inside and out, with the part T-top covered exterior offering an aft island type C-shaped dinette looking forward which does not disturb the walk around deck to aft, although in the other two versions this can be specified with a sun-pad plus dinette layout called Ysofa, or two L-shape lounges looking aft called LLchaiselounge. Twin sets of double forward looking seats located in-front to the dinette continue the exterior deck layout, with the one to starboard featuring the helm station, while behind these seats is a wet-bar and exterior galley, joined by a free flush fore deck which also features an integrated sun-pad. Powered by twin Yanmar 440hp with line shaft propulsion the Patrone 45 Open reaches top speeds up to 31 knots and a cruise of 23.

Project: Patrone 45
The best is about to get better as Patrone present the project for the 45, as designed by Tommaso Spadolini, the same designer who designed the really nice 100 which debuted in 2022. The Patrone 45 follows on the same footsteps of the 100 combining the sporting soul of the open with cabin comfort, in a unique traditional Ligurian Gozzo look. A mix created according to the excellent artisan quality that has defined Patrone for more than a century. Patrone new 45 is a fourteen-meter flagship, traditional in looks open cruiser designed for those who want to spend the whole day outdoors without sacrificing absolute comfort in the interiors. When designing the project of the 45, Patrone and Spadolini started from the concept of conviviality on board to re-interpret the classic charm of the Ligurian gozzo in modern key. The result is traditional cruiser that is not affected by the short-lived trends of fashion and that can offer an absolute sense of space, inside and out, with a wide range of customization options. Three cockpit solutions and five interior layouts confirms Patrone tradition of “tailoring” each boat to the needs of its owner. At the same time, great attention was also paid to ensure it is seaworthy: the hull is an evolution form and is to be powered by twin Yanmar 440hp engines in a V-drive transmission.

Patrone Moreno after launching the 27 Open last Summer presents the project of the 27 Convertible version. Based on the same traditional Gozzo hull of the 27 Open, the Convertible takes a cruiser attitude in looks and most important in comfort. The 27 Convertible therefore will offer better accommodation suited for family cruising and over night stays. Its interior divided between main, and lower deck, now offers an owners cabin to fore, separate shower head, a dining settee and galley. Exterior spaces while not large as the Open version are still good with a sun lounger on the fore deck, and the aft cockpit featuring a bench seat for four ideally suited for a variety of uses from dining to fishing.
