Lazzara Yachts New Web Site

Lazzara presents its new world wide web showroom.  Lazzara Yachts was founded in 1990, though in reality the Lazzara family boat building story starts much more before the nineties. The family Lazzara boat building experience starts in 1955, when Vince Lazzara constructs the biggest fiberglass boat of the time, a forty foot sailing yacht for himself.  After this in 1960 he starts Columbia Yachts which in 1967 he will sell, and a few years later will move to Florida and in 1970 founds Gulfstar Yachts which Lazzara will sell in 1989.  The next step for Lazzara will be to start building motor yachts with the family name, launching the Lazzara brand in 1990 and debuting with the 76 model in 1992.  In January 2015 following financial difficulties Lazzara will sell to the Avanti Group, consisting of private investor Geoff Bond and third-generation family members Joe and Steve Lazzara, moving to a new location in Tampa, Florida.  In 2018 Lazzara is sold again to Euro Marine Group of Georgian businessman Irakli Aslanishvili with offices in Fort Lauderdale and yacht building operations located in the Antalya Free Zone in Turkey.  Today Lazzara Yachts produces twelve yachts from the LSX 67 to the still in project LMY 165 divided into five series; LSX Series, LSY Series, LMY Series, UHV Series, and LPC Series.  Lazzara new website takes you around with the following buttons; Home, LSX Series, LSY Series, LMY Series, UHV Series, LPC Series, News, and More.  Lazzara is also present on social media with bottom page links taking you to its; Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, and You Tube pages.

New Model: Azimut Seadeck 9

Some projects can be born anywhere, others, due to their complexity, vision, and ambition, can only exist in one place.  Seadeck 9 belongs to the latter category and to the Azimut shipyard in Avigliana. This is where strategic craftsmanship, manufacturing, and cutting-edge technology converge in excellence. At 26 meters, the flagship of the Seadeck Series is a tangible expression of the site’s genius loci, the perfect union between craftsmanship and industry. An expertise developed over the years is supported by a €50 million investment plan, launched in 2023, which has redesigned spaces, processes, and production flows, enabling the construction of yachts up to 27 meters. With exteriors by Alberto Mancini and interiors by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez the Azimut Seadeck 9 is the most mature expression of the Series’ promise: back to nature. The Fun Island opens like a stage on the water: terraces extend across three levels, a pool reflects the sky, and the platform descends to embrace the sea. A 60-square-meter area designed to be experienced and shared. At the stern, the concept of “lifestyle” reclaims its true meaning: a space that cannot be imagined as anything other than vibrant. The interiors embody the same philosophy. Each space interprets the principles of Conscious Design by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez: empathetic spaces where beauty and well-being reinforce each other. Thun & Rodriguez create a simple and elegant language cantered on the relationship between people and the environment. The large, floor-to-ceiling windows and natural light deliver on the back-to-nature promise even inside, thanks to an architecture that becomes alive and sensorial, transforming with the sea. Continuing the sustainability journey already underway with the Series, the Seadeck 9 is ready to install the Volvo Penta hybrid propulsion system, confirming an approach that integrates technological innovation and environmental consciousness. The first Seadeck 9, which is the first of four reported under construction will be delivered to her owner in the summer of 2026 and will World debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Project: ISA Yachts GTO 70

ISA Yachts presents the GTO 70 project, its smallest build to date and the second GTO line project. Unlike the GTO 100 which was designed by Marco Casali the GTO 70 is developed by a new collaboration with Galeazzi Design, which penned both the exterior and interior lines.  For the ISA GTO 70 Galeazzi presents a contemporary interpretation of a luxury Mediterranean speed sport yacht with an aggressive and functional design language, subdued to performance with an open hard-top design.  Compact, lightweight and radically geared toward speed, the ISA GTO 70 is not an exercise in style but an advanced engineering platform. The ultra-high-performance planning hull, developed by the ISA Yachts naval engineering team through in-depth computational fluid dynamics studies, is optimized to ensure stability, efficiency and precise handling even at top speeds.  The ISA Yachts GTO 70 offers a traditional Mediterranean open yacht layout with a cockpit offering a central sun-pad aft, C-shaped dinette to starboard, Summer galley to port, and dual helmsman seats seats to starboard and identical companionway seats to port.  The lower deck offers a three double cabins layout, with an owner stateroom at midships.  A separate galley with adjacent two berth crew cabin is located to starboard.  The ISA GTO 70 is to be powered by twin MAN 1800hp, but propulsion is not advised but with declared top speeds up to 55 knots, I'd imagine this to be surface drives.

New Model: Sunseeker Manhattan 56

Sunseeker present the Manhattan 56, a new model it debuted at the 2026 Boot Dusseldorf.  The Manhattan 56 is for the most part an improvement to the replacing Manhattan 55, which was also based on the Manhattan 52 which arrived in 2016.  The Manhattan 56 versus the outgoing Manhattan 55, shows differences in the hard-top, main deck glazing, and aft cockpit deck.  The hard-top has been redesigned, now similar to the second generation Manhattan 68 which was presented last year.  The hull window glazing has been increased in the main deck by removing the lower decorating transverse pillar.  The aft cockpit might be the most important change now fitted with a modular seating which transforms the area from dining, lounging, and sun-pad, offering exceptional flexibility for entertaining or relaxation.  Fair to say this modular seating takes away some cockpit legroom versus the outgoing Manhattan 55.  For the interior but also the flybridge and fore-deck the Manhattan 56 is unchanged versus the 55, with living dining astern galley layout main deck, and a three double cabins lower deck.  Lost occasion?  When the Manhattan 52 arrived in 2016 it was one of the best flybridge yacht in its size, today the Manhattan 56 even with these improvements is down the packing order.

Following the return of the totally new Itama 54 debuting in 2025 as designed by Tommaso de Luca, Itama follows it fast with the project of a 70 set to launch later on this year.  Unlike the 54 the Itama 70 is designed by Andrea Vallicelli, who is on his seventh project for the Ferretti Group; Pershing GTX70 and GTX80 exteriors, interiors of the three WallyWhy's, and the exterior of the custom CRN 72 meter Hull.139.  For his debut in Itama Andrea Vallicelli brought influences of the Casali Itama's, the 70 looks that bit a larger and stretched 62, with the Rome based designer showing his sail yacht designer roots in the clean lines which defy time in past, present and future with its sweeping down shear line, and the sloop stern.  New thought-out solutions are also part of the Itama 70 from a never disturbed always available central fore deck access which is usable all time, this thanks to a cabin door located to starboard, and the integrated sun-pad forward as presented on the Itama 54.  Ideaeitalia, known for the interiors of the Ferretti Yacht models have been given duties for the interior of the Itama 70, and present a three double cabins lower deck layout, with an owner stateroom at midships to port side, and an L-shaped dinette with L-shaped galley opposite located in between the cabins.  A single berth crew cabin is located aft.  The cockpit is typical Itama with an aft sun-pad, C-shaped dinette with wet-bar opposite, and dual seat helm station to port side.  The Itama 70 is to be powered by twin MAN 1400hp as standard and or 1550hp optional engines, giving 37 and 39 knots top speeds respectively.

Benetti presents the Oasis 42M, the natural evolution of its iconic Oasis family and the Oasis 40M.  Announced during the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Oasis 42M embraces a fresh dimension of life at sea, bringing guests even closer to nature; from the waves beneath to the sky above. Already sold to its visionary owner, the first Oasis 42M is scheduled to be launched in 2027.  The Oasis 42M is designed around conscious choices; expanded living spaces that reinforce wellness on the water, coupled with sustainable engineering that ensures a 3-star Sea Index rating. It is the ultimate private retreat for owners seeking a new dimension of yachting under 45 metres.  At the heart of the Oasis 42M lies an enhanced Oasis Deck®, a transformative space that seamlessly connects guests to the sea. Featuring an 8.3 square metre pool, among the largest in this size category, complete with a retractable enclosure, it extends into an uninterrupted aft deck spanning 100 square metres. This creates an extraordinary sense of openness and freedom from the first step aboard.  The experience continues upwards with a spectacular 17.3 metre sundeck – the largest in the 40-45m yacht segment. Designed for sunbathing, dining and entertaining, it offers flexibility to tailor the space with features such as a spa pool, bar or lounge. A generous foredeck lounge adds yet another open-air retreat, ensuring three distinct outdoor social areas for every mood.  Developed with bonetti/kozerski architecture, the interiors reflect a new stylistic vision defined by natural and alternative materials – such as tiles, metal or travertine inserts in the salon finishes; fluid layouts, and versatile wellness spaces.  On the Main Deck, four interconnected zones include a panoramic salon, a dining area flowing to the Oasis Deck®, a professional galley for seamless service, and a forward well-being area configurable as a gym, spa, or cinema, even enhanced with a drop-down terrace. The Upper Deck offers an exceptional 50 square metre owner’s panoramic apartment, complete with vast windows and a private 40 square metre terrace, a sanctuary of privacy and light.  Alternative layouts ensure flexibility, from a Main Deck owner’s suite to a Sky Lounge configuration, all pre-engineered for efficient configuration, ready to become a bespoke Benetti of its Owner.  The exterior, penned by RWD, evolves the distinctive Oasis lines with soft curves and flowing profiles that convey both dynamism and harmony. Inspired by contemporary architecture and automotive design, the Oasis 42M embodies timeless elegance, ensuring relevance well into the 2030s.  Innovation is not limited to design. The Oasis 42M integrates a data-driven engineering package that reduces fuel consumption and emissions, while a hybrid Siemens E-Mode option offers advanced sustainable cruising without compromising performance.  The spacious garage accommodates a 6.25 metre tender, jet ski, and water toys, ensuring owners enjoy every aspect of life on the water.

Historically, the Miami International Boat Show and Miami Yacht Show have attracted hundreds of thousands of attendees to South Florida and generated an estimated combined annual economic impact of $1.34 billion. The Miami boat show is located in the following locations; Miami Beach Convention Center for boats up to 49 feet, the Progressive Boat Show Experience at Pride Park for experiential boating lifestyle activations, Miami Beach Yacht Collection on Collins Avenue along Indian Creek for powerboats and motor yachts from 30 to 125 feet, and Superyacht Miami and Sailor’s Cove at IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami. The Miami boat show is the longest ongoing boat show in the World, an exhibition which has survived a World War, several recessions, and the luxury tax on boating of the nineties.  The show debuted in 1941 with the Biscayne Boat Show name as organized by the Miami Junior Chamber of Commerce and Marine Industries Association.  The 1947 edition saw the show move to the Municipal Auditorium at Bayfront Park. In 1950 the show had 92 exhibitors, with these becoming 143 by 1951, while 1953 saw the show reach a record breaking 50,000 of attendants.  The 26th edition of 1967 set the still unbeaten attendants record of 171,495 even though the show was asked to move its date to January so as not to collide with the New York boat show.  In 1968 the show gets named the Miami International Boat Show, returns to it's February calendar dates and debuts at the Miami Beach Convention Centre venue, which it will keep up till 2015. In 2016 the Miami Boat Show returned to where it started in Biscayne Bay.  During the seventies, eighties, and nineties the show expanded its size many times till we arrive to the six locations of today.

Eight Boats End Aground in Storm at Gumbet Bay, Turkey

Eight boats and yachts varying from four to eighteen meters in length ended aground and beached in Gumbet Bay, province of Bodrum, Turkey on Sunday first February.  The boats and yachts ended beached due to the strong winds, which the Meteorology Department had issued a warning about. The boats and yachts were anchored offshore of the bay, and some of them as the above picture shows collided into each other.  Following the calming of the winds some boats were later towed back in deep water, indicating that they did not sustain big damage also because they ended aground on a sandy beach.
The flybridge boat in this grounding is a Sealine 420 Statesman as produced in the nineties, while the hard top sport yacht deeper in the picture is an Off Course Comfort Class 60.
