New Model: Maritimo M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht

Maritimo, Australia’s world-class luxury motor yacht builder, expands its next-generation model line-up as it global launched the all-new M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show on May 2025. A brand defined by its relentless pursuit of perfection, Maritimo has further evolved its acclaimed M Series motor yachts, with extensive customer consultation fed directly into the Australian-based design team, resulting in a very distinguished fifteen meter motor that’s set to redefine its class. Thousands of design and engineering hours have shaped the M50 into a vessel of refined elegance and purposeful functionality, with balanced proportions from every angle. Each detail has been scrutinised and elevated. Stepping aboard, guests are greeted with an abundance of space and luxury. The innovative rear swim platform raises and folds to reduce the vessel’s length by 750mm when docked, and then when deployed, it transforms into a spacious entertainment area ideal for all water-based activities. Access to the lazarette is via a hatch in the rear of the large entertainment module, containing the built-in barbecue and refrigerator. Further access is also provided under the long seating unit that runs across the forward end of the entertainment module, avoiding the need for heavy actuators to lift the deck and console area. Maritimo’s signature safety is ever-present, with high sides protecting those that are required to move forward, for anchoring or access to the tender, if stowed at the front. The Maritimo engineered articulating swim platform adds further protection to the rear of the vessel, when raised during cruising. The cockpit area provides a fabulous alfresco dining experience and is an entertainer’s dream, flowing seamlessly into the galley and saloon, creating a cohesive, visually clean space. The galley is a ‘chef’s delight’ and features European appliances, impeccable finishes, and immense storage, servicing both the cockpit and saloon with ease. The galley also features plenty of bench space for preparation and service, with a central island bench within the ‘L’ shaped format, which sweeps around the right-hand side of the space. Adjacent, Maritimo’s hallmark internal rear facing staircase leads to the enclosed flybridge on the level above. Natural light fills every internal space. The panoramic saloon windows subtly lowered in the design give commanding views in luxurious comfort from the upper enclosed flybridge. Expansive glass provides 360-degree visibility in a fully protected, climate-controlled environment. Light and air is also brought into the luxurious space via the long strip skylight, with forward and rear opening hatches above in the bridge hardtop. Twin sculpted helm seats ensure comfort and support during long passages, delivering both confidence and enjoyment whilst at sea. The M50 boasts a large bridge that can accommodate two or three screens that visually float above the console, with all other electronics and equipment is thoughtfully placed and within touch. A large cruising lounge is positioned opposite the helm to ensure the journey is as enjoyable as the destination itself. Generous storage, refrigerator and pull-out convertible accommodation on the bridge level turns this space into a highly comfortable penthouse apartment for additional guests. This allows for up to eight guests to enjoy all the new M50 has to offer. The main saloon exudes plush elegance, inviting guests to linger. Moving forward, a naturally lit companionway leads to accommodation spaces that set the M50 apart. By opting for a two-cabin configuration, Maritimo avoided compromise. The symmetrical full-beam master stateroom is expansive and beautifully appointed, with a very generous ensuite, day lounge and hanger lockers at the forward end. The VIP stateroom offers flexible sleeping arrangements, with a bed that can split into singles and an enlarged second bathroom that also serves the other guests. With further accommodation provided by pull out beds in the saloon and above in the flybridge deck, the M50 offers great flexibility to cater for larger numbers of guests, when required. Natural light and ventilation feature prominently throughout: A central skylight and hatch in the VIP stateroom, Expansive side windows with opening portholes in the Master Stateroom, Skylights and hatches in both bathrooms. With a consistent minimum headroom of just under two meters, the M50 maintains a balanced, proportionally perfect silhouette, whilst optimising weight distribution and stability. Leveraging decades of offshore racing pedigree, Maritimo’s hull design delivers lift, stability, and comfort. A reverse chine runs nearly the length of the hull, while a carefully shaped keel ensures a soft re-entry in challenging seas. Powered by twin Volvo 800hp, the Maritimo M50 comfortably cruises at 24 knots, with a top speed of 30 knots, all supported by a 3700-litre fuel tank offering exceptional range and efficiency.

The ceilings clad in a new generation leather, tanned using natural materials, and the marble-effect ceramic slabs reveal an environmentally conscious selection of materials. The choice of wood also involved careful consideration of environmental certifications issued by the most authoritative international bodies, including the FSC Forest Stewardship Council and the PEFC Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, ensuring responsibly managed forests with a focus on biodiversity and the wellbeing of local communities. This first Benetti B.Now 67M layout also differs from the original design, particularly in terms of the numerous wellness areas, including a sauna in the beach club and a gym on the main deck, as requested by the owner. New Model: Tasman 80

Tasman is a rather fresh down under Australian boat builder which was founded in 2021, and has in 2024 presented this new 80 model.   The 80 is Tasman second model, following the small five meter 50 center console, and was brought to attention by the YouTube review on Dans Boat Life channel.  The Tasman 80 is one of those boats which should get those who want a substantive build first excited; hull design, strong construction and the rest later, think about a small boat in big yacht clothing.  Basically the Tasman 80 is a very capable smallish sport fish cruiser first, which shines in its sea keeping ability and bullet proof construction.  But do not be mistaken, the Tasman 80 besides its sportfish rough sea capability credentials, is also an interesting family adventure cruiser, with a cabin offering a double Vee berth accommodation forward with a shower head to port side.  Some other cruising amenities can be fitted under the hard-top section of the main deck.  The Tasman 80 other interesting feature is that she is sold as a trailable boat, although at a beam of 2.80 meters this will not be possible everywhere, and a weight around to four tons you will also need some good pulling power to take her around.  The Tasman 80 is standard powered by a single Yanmar 370hp which gives a 34 knots top speed, and a cruise of 24 this delivering an important 360 nautical miles range.  A Tasman 80 with twin outboards is also available though of the seven hulls build so far, all have been inboard.

New Model: Baglietto Fast 43m

Baglietto have in mid April launched a new Fast 43m as designed by Francesco Paszkowski for exterior and Margherita Casprini for the interiors.  Titled m/y Speedy Bear, this Fast 43m is a semi-custom order build based on the Fast 44m semi production platform as delivered in three units between 2007 to 2013, with this born from the 42m arriving in 2003, and then evolved in the 43m series as produced from 2006 to 2012 in four units.  In short she is a Baglietto Fast super yacht in its purest form, no semi wide-body volume search, and a straight sheer line which evokes respect, a trait Baglietto started with the 1986 very special John van Neumann ordered 26m m/y Chato, and then it made its identity onwards from the 1991 33m series as designed by Giorgetti and Magretti.  A distinct detail for this new Baglietto Fast 43m is the hard-top enclosed bridge which integrates with the raised pilot house forward.  This new Fast 43m also features the classic Baglietto boxy enclosed transom which when anchored has drop down balconies that transform into a bathing beach platform on the water.  This semi-custom Baglietto Fast 43m has an interior sleeping ten guests, including an owners stateroom on the forward part of the main deck, with crew accommodation for seven, and is powered by twin 3470hp MTU for top speeds up to 27 knots.

New Model: Sunseeker Manhattan 68

Sunseeker present the new second generation Manhattan 68, what it calls the 2025 version. The new second generation Manhattan 68 evolves one of Sunseeker more successful flybridge yachts of recent times, which in itself was a soft evolution of the Manhattan 66 which arrived in 2017. Sunseeker say that in the new Manhattan 68 every detail and feature has been reimagined. Easily recognizable by a redesigned flybridge and hard-top the second generation Manhattan 68 brings a sleeker and more dynamic profile that enhances the World famous Poole yacht builder known bold design, something which I always thought its predecessor lost in some parts due to its search for volume.  My question for the Manhattan 66 and 68 has always been, do you buy a Sunseeker for volume, even if it is a flybridge motor yacht?  The redesigned flybridge sets new standards for open-air living, and also features a larger more versatile seating arrangement and a redesigned ergonomic console.  The aft cockpit has also been redesigned from the previous Manhattan 68 and now brings more functionality and seclusion, and now features a built-in drop down screen enhancing this area privacy.  As interior goes Design Unlimited has created options that tailor to individual owner’s lifestyle, with the second generation Manhattan 68 now offering three lower deck interior layouts, for four or three cabins. The standard four cabins layout comes with a private staircase leading to the owner’s midships full-beam cabin. Alternatively, it can be configured with a single staircase to all cabins, creating space for an opposing seating group in the main saloon. The new Manhattan 68 is also offered in a three-cabin configuration with a grander entrance to the owner’s cabin, complete with an office, or it can include a Pullman-style fourth cabin. A crew cabin with two berths and a private head is located aft.  The new Sunseeker Manhattan 68 is powered by twin Man 1000hp or optional 1200hp for speeds up to 32 knots from the large engine option.

New Model: Bellini Astor 36

Not much time passes that a new offer in the walk around sport cruiser segment appears. This time around we have Bellini, who founded in 1960 return to boat and yacht production after 51 years.  This is not to say that Bellini has stopped since then, as the company including it's home on Lake Iseo has today five boat storage facilities, located in Liguria and the Adriatic side of Italy.  Bellini is back with this new Astor 36 a sport cruiser walk around designed by Brunello Acampora of Victory design and project guidance from Norberto Ferretti.  The Astor 36 is the first part of Bellini's industrial plan to re-enter boat production, which is to feature a three model line up with two other Astor's of 58 and 68 arriving in the near future.  The Astor 36 enters the competitive walk around segment, with a few distinct shining features versus similar competition.  It stand out feature is surely its drop down balconies, which are among the largest to size being about a third to the Astor 36 length.  These apart extending space, give also a sensation of being literally with the water rather then just on it even when for example sitting on the dinette.  Another feature of the Astor 36 is that it has a hull registration length of under ten meters able to be registered as a small Natante boat on the Italian registry.  Like similar walk around's the Bellini Astor 36 brings the usual layout of an aft sun-pad, dinette with opposing settee's, dual seat center console, with two steps up leading to the fore deck which has a forward bench settee in-front of the console, and a fore-peak sun-pad.  Down below the Bellini Astor 36 offers a four berth accommodation layout, with a double berth forward, a shower head to starboard, a cabin galley to port side, and a second double berth at midships.  The Bellini Astor 36 is powered by twin Volvo 350hp gas engines, and or 300hp diesel's with stern drive propulsion with these giving top speeds up to 32 knots.

New Model: Viking 82SB

Since presenting the Sky Bridge option some ten years ago, Viking has always kept it part of the Enclosed Bridge family.  Meaning that a Viking with sky bridge was an Enclosed Bridge model with that option being ticked. Things have changed in 2024, as Viking is rightly now making the Sky Bridge as a different variant of that model. The elevated bridge’s port-side console has a fully equipped helm with a recessed black acrylic panel for flush-mounted MFDs.
