Archipelago Yachts Awarded UK Innovate Funding 

Archipelago Yachts, in collaboration with Chartwell Marine, has been awarded funding through the UK Government’s Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (Round 6), delivered by Innovate UK as part of the UK SHORE programme.  The winning project, titled “Methanol Pathfinder UK”, will develop and prototype an advanced methanol range-extension and propulsion system for electric vessels, a key milestone in the UK’s drive toward zero-emission maritime transport.  Building on earlier Innovate UK-supported work, this seven month project will focus on developing a scalable, commercially viable methanol-based energy system that enables extended range for electric vessels, with the potential to eliminate combustion engines. The approach reformulates how methanol can be used as a clean, efficient energy carrier. By converting it into low-pressure hydrogen to generate power onboard, it provides a practical and safe alternative to traditional marine fuels.  Dr Stephen Weatherley, CEO of Archipelago Yachts, said: “This Innovate UK funding marks an exciting next step in our mission to bring real-world, zero-emission solutions to the water. Methanol offers a clean, flexible, and scalable pathway to decarbonising maritime operations. By focusing on range extension for electric vessels, we’re accelerating technology that can be adopted broadly across both commercial and leisure markets.”  The Methanol Pathfinder UK project brings together a consortium of British marine innovators including Archipelago Yachts and Chartwell Marine, supported by expert subcontractors such as Blue Deep International, E1 Marine, and Auriga Energy. Collectively, the group combines deep expertise in vessel design, propulsion integration, and clean energy systems.  Together, the consortium will prototype and test a modular methanol-to-hydrogen range-extension system, designed to integrate seamlessly with electric propulsion platforms. The project will also contribute valuable data and insights to UK regulators and industry partners, helping shape emerging standards for methanol use in maritime applications.  The project forms part of the UK SHORE (Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions) programme, a flagship government initiative supporting innovation across the UK’s maritime sector to deliver net zero. Through this funding, Archipelago Yachts and its partners are supporting regional growth, enhancing domestic supply chains, and strengthening the UK’s leadership in sustainable shipbuilding and marine technology.  Andy Page, Managing Director of Chartwell Marine, added “Methanol has huge potential as a clean marine fuel, but the technology and integration challenges need real-world testing. This project will demonstrate how UK expertise can lead the way in creating practical solutions for decarbonising offshore, commercial, and leisure vessels alike.”  The Methanol Pathfinder UK prototype will serve as a vital step toward future vessel deployments, including offshore wind support vessels, pilot boats, and explorer yachts.

Azimut Renovate Avigliana Headquarters

A few months after the official inauguration, Azimut Yachts renovated headquarters is fully operational and, since the beginning of September, has been welcoming the approximately 1,500 employees who work in Avigliana.  The entire project, part of a €50 million investment plan for the production site, was overseen by the artistic direction of AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi, who also curated the restyling of the main building and the construction of the new multifunctional pavilion.  The Studio is a long-time creative partner: the collaboration with the Shipyard began more than ten years ago, when they were entrusted with the design of all Azimut Yachts lounges worldwide. Since then, the dialogue has evolved through shared projects and visions, such as the creation of the iconic installation at Bagni Misteriosi, where Seadeck 7 was 'anchored' in the pool during Milan Design Week 2024, to the most recent chapter revealed at the Cannes Yachting Festival: the new Magellano 27M, marking the first collaboration with AMDL Studio and Michele De Lucchi in the design of a yacht's interiors.  The employees' offices were completely renovated based on an architectural design by Settanta7. The plan also included a significant energy efficiency upgrade.  With the full support of Chair Giovanna Vitelli, the project marks an evolution of Azimut's work model, focusing on collaboration and teamwork and moving beyond traditional hierarchical structures, even in the configuration of the workplace. This initiative comes at an emblematic moment in the Company's history, the successful generational transition. It is a tangible sign of a shift in culture: the family's entrepreneurial vision meets modern governance, drawing on internal and external talent. The result is a new leadership model, shared and open, that focuses on the future to generate solid and resilient growth.  The inspiration for the renovation project stems from a dialogue between past and future, history and innovation, aimed at sensitively reinterpreting the original architectural concept of the renowned Gabetti & Isola, protagonists of 20th-century Italian architecture who, in the 1990s, designed the Azimut|Benetti Group headquarters in Piedmont, Liguria, and Tuscany.  AMDL CIRCLE reinterprets the original project and enriches it with a new element: the entrance pavilion, the first stop on the new heritage walk that takes you through Azimut's bold and glamorous history. This is an avowedly contemporary gesture, remembering the past and projecting it forward, translating Azimut's identity into architectural form.  "I had the image of the Louvre pyramid in mind. A statement of changing times, but above all a sign of how the new finds its full power in its relationship with the grandeur of the past. Azimut has a history spanning more than fifty years, and the best way to honor it is to continue evolving, as my father always did," explains Giovanna Vitelli.  The new pavilion expresses poetic game of contrasts: the essential, metallic volume, reminiscent of the nautical world, rests on the historic brick structure. The water feature’s surface reflects the models of Azimut's "firsts", a tribute to the key stylistic and technological innovations of the yachts born in the mountains to revolutionize the way we experience the sea. Among these, the introduction in 2003 of hull glazing in place of traditional portholes, to bring natural light into the cabins: a visionary choice that is echoed today in the new Avigliana headquarters, with the windows extended for floor-to-ceiling glazing, underscoring the continuity between nautical innovation and the design language of this project.  The panoramic meeting rooms Gogamigoga, Goga and Goghina – named after Paolo Vitelli's boats, who with Piedmontese understatement chose a name that can be translated into Italian as "darsi alla bella vita", in the ironic sense of "giving oneself to the good life" – thus ideally and literally frame the Sacra di San Michele, which dominates the entrance to the Susa Valley: transparency – material, visual and conceptual – is established as a key concept throughout the project.  Transparency becomes the manifesto of an architectural language that transcends pure aesthetics to give shape to Azimut's vision: a work culture based on openness, connection, and trust. This philosophy comes to life in the layout and design of the new offices, where the Company's values have guided every choice: transparency, collaboration, flexibility, and innovation are reflected in spaces where glass replaces walls, and shared environments replace closed and oversized executive offices.  This concept transcends the interior and redefines the way Azimut opens up to the world. Its pinnacle is the new Virtual Reality room, the creative and technological heart of the building: a space where the Technical and Style Offices collaborate daily, and which also welcomes guests, particularly owners. The yacht's hyper-technological "cuisine en scène," where choosing layouts, furnishings, colors, and fabrics becomes an immersive and personalized experience through virtual reality. 

Azimut do Brazil New CEO

The appointment marks a new phase of development for the Group's subsidiary, which consolidates its industrial and commercial leadership in Brazil and accelerates its growth plan in the region.  Azimut Yachts announces the appointment of Carlo Alberto Sisto as Chief Executive Officer of Azimut do Brasil, the Group's subsidiary dedicated to local production and the brand's strategic development in the Brazilian market.  The appointment represents a strategic step in Azimut's long-term vision, which aims to consolidate the brand’s global presence by leveraging manufacturing excellence, industrial strength, and innovation in one of the world's most dynamic markets. The Itajaí shipyard confirms its position as a strategic industrial hub for the entire region, where Azimut holds a consolidated leadership, strengthened by the success of the large-boat segment produced in Brazil and by constant growth in commercial and production performance.  Carlo Alberto Sisto will lead Azimut do Brasil, setting the subsidiary's strategic and industrial course, in close collaboration with Commercial Director Roy Capasso, who will report directly to him. Under the new leadership, the company will accelerate the implementation of the approved development and investment plan, aimed at strengthening production capacity, supporting brand expansion, and bringing innovation to the market through the progressive renewal of the range.  Carlo Alberto Sisto brings a solid international profile to Azimut, with over 25 years of experience at CNH Industrial, a global leader in the capital goods sector, where he held senior roles in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific, developing in-depth financial, operational, and strategic expertise.  His career is marked by a deep connection to Latin America – and Brazil in particular – markets for which he possesses strategic and operational knowledge gained through years of direct field responsibility. At CNH Industrial, he held key positions, including President of Banco CNH Capital in Curitiba and CFO of CNH Industrial Brazil in Belo Horizonte, with responsibility for the operations of CNH and IVECO. He subsequently served in the United States as President of CNH Capital North America.  In the most recent phase of his career, he expanded his experience in the industrial sector, first as Executive President of the EMEA Region of CNH Industrial and subsequently as Executive Advisor for the Cogne Acciai Speciali Group, part of the Walsin Lihwa Corporation, contributing his strategic vision to the evolution of DMV GmbH.  Founded in 2010, Azimut do Brasil is one of the leading nautical companies in South America, with local production including several models from the Azimut Fly and Grande Series for both the domestic and export markets. With over 600 employees and a production of over 40 vessels last season, the Brazilian subsidiary remains a driver of growth and innovation for the Group.  Under Sisto's new leadership, the company will continue to invest in industrial development, quality, and training, consolidating Azimut's role as a global leader in high-end yachting.

Azimut do Brazil New Organisation Structure

A change in leadership at Azimut do Brasil has been announced by the CEO of the parent company, Azimut|Benetti. The decision is part of the strategy aimed at consolidating growth and accelerating the Group's strategic investment plan in the country. From the headquarters of Azimut do Brasil in Itajaí (Santa Catarina), Marco Valle, CEO of the Azimut|Benetti Group, the world's largest megayacht builder, announced a change in leadership at the Brazilian subsidiary. He also confirmed the local investment plan, emphasizing the country's strategic role for the Group. After ending its collaboration with previous CEO, Francesco Caputo, and previous sales manager, Gustavo Hoffmann, due to a breach of trust, the company has appointed Andrea Consolini, currently Chief Financial Officer, as interim CEO of the Brazilian subsidiary of Azimut Yachts. The governance is further strengthened by the appointment of Roy Capasso, a manager with extensive and consolidated international experience in the nautical sector, as Commercial Director. Azimut do Brasil confirms its position as a leader in high-end yachts in the local market and a consolidated industrial player, with over 15 years of activity, approximately 600 employees, and a production volume that exceeded 40 vessels last season. The Group intends to lead a new phase of development, accelerating the implementation of the investments defined in the plan approved in November 2024 and, to this end, it will also make use of the mandate assigned to its board member, Giorgio Gallia. The plan is structured around three strategic priorities: Continue to improve production, support growth by expanding industrial capacity, implement the range renewal program, with the development of new models that confirm the brand's competitive positioning, a strategy underscored by the commercial success of the Grande 25M, presented last July. "With this reorganization, we reaffirm Brazil's centrality as a key market and a cornerstone of Azimut's global strategy, demonstrating our commitment to structured investments that support long-term growth," said Marco Valle, CEO of the Azimut|Benetti Group. Azimut do Brasil looks to the future with strengthened governance and structured investments, aiming to consolidate its growth in the country and contribute to the global growth of Azimut Yachts.

Bavaria Launches Digital Experts

With the launch of the Bavaria Nautical Experts, Bavaria Yachts introduces a new digital format designed for yacht owners, future owners, and boating enthusiasts. In interactive live talks, seasoned experts provide exclusive insights into life on board and share practical know-how on sailing and motorboats.  The first sessions are already scheduled, covering exciting topics such as sail trim techniques, the safe handling of outboard engines over 100 HP, and yacht investment, charter management, and financing models.  Easy participation: Participants simply select their preferred live talk on the Bavaria Yachts website, register online, and receive free access. Benetti New Pier Sixty-Six Headquarters

From October 29 to November 2, 2025, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is back, acting as a showcase for superyachts and other new developments in the industry. This year’s edition also celebrates the reopening of Pier Sixty-Six, with the Superyacht Village at Pier South and Pier Sixty-Six Marina, prime destinations for boats over 100 feet in length.  At Pier Sixty-Six, the new reference hub for U.S. yachting, recently renovated through an extensive revitalization project, Benetti will inaugurate its new offices in the presence of the international press, management, and its employees. Three yachts will also be on display here: two units from the Oasis family (M/Y King’s Lair, 34 meters, at Dock D409 and M/Y Contigo, 40 meters, at Dock E508), and the Diamond 44M M/Y Watercolours at Dock E500.  FLIBS 2025 will also be an opportunity to present the Shipyard’s latest projects to US-based brokers and customers, from new steel models including the B.Now 52M – which reinterprets the concept of the B.Now 50M by redefining and expanding the spaces – and the B.Loft 58M – an expression of contemporary architectural language inspired by important villas and modern lofts. Ferretti Group Approves Consolidated Results as of 30 September 2025

Sharp increase in Order Intake, ca. +36% and ca.+185% in the Made to Measure segment in Q3’25 vs Q3’24.  Net revenue new yachts equal to €887.2 million, an increase of 2.5% when compared to the First Nine Months of 2024; Adjusted EBITDA of €141.7 million, representing an increase of 2.5% when compared to the First Nine Months of 2024 and with a margin of 16.0%, in line with the First Nine Months of 2024; Net profit equal to €61.0 million; Order Intake reached €770.9 million in the First Nine Months of 2025, up 4.6% compared with the First Nine Months of 2024; Order Backlog double-digit growth with +12.9% as of 30 September 2025 compared to 30 September 2024 and +3.6% vs 30 June 2025; Net backlog reached €794.7 million as of 30 September 2025, up 4.5% from 30 June 2025; Net Financial Position of €65.2 million of net cash as of September 30, 2025, down by €36.4 million in line with the usual third quarter’s net working capital absorption; The Group confirms its guidance. Majesty 2025 European Tour

Majesty concluded its 2025 European Tour with back-to-back showings at the Cannes Yachting Festival, Open Days in Beaulieu-Sur-Mer and the Monaco Yacht Show, reinforcing the brand’s growing presence in Europe and underlining the shipyard’s long-term commitment to the region. Across the events, Majesty showcased hallmark craftsmanship and award-winning innovation. A year on from its concept reveal, the Majesty 100 Terrace made its full European debut to an outstanding reception. Co-designed with Phathom Studio (Netherlands), the 100-ft model introduces a private owner’s bow-terrace, fold-down balconies, full walk-around decks and five luxurious staterooms, equally suited to private ownership and charter operations. Building on this momentum, the displayed Majesty 100 Terrace hull has now been sold. At Cannes, Gulf Craft hosted a dedicated press conference at the Majesty stand, welcoming forty plus journalists from leading industry titles – another marker of the brand’s strengthened European focus. During the Cannes closing weekend, Majesty secured two honours at the 2025 World Yachts Trophies: Majesty 100 Terrace for Best Evolution and Majesty 112 Terrace for Best Semi-Custom Yacht. Both yachts feature exterior and interior design developed in collaboration with Phathom Studio in the Netherlands, whose representatives joined the shipyard’s team on stage to receive the trophies. At the start of Monaco show week, Gulf Craft’s CEO, Erwin Bamps, took the stage at two industry forums – the Superyacht Builder Summit on 23 September and the Superyacht Law Summit on 24 September – where he addressed market trends, challenges and opportunities in the global superyacht industry. Sacs Tecnorib Leading Role at ADI Design Museum in Milan

In a setting of international importance such as the ADI design Museum in Milan – a symbolic place of Italian design recognised worldwide - SACS Tecnorib played a leading role in the "Design that Unites - Enterprise, Training, Vision" seminar promoted by MBCIRCLE, in collaboration with IED Milan.  On Monday 20 October, the leading boatyard in the maxi-rib sector spoke of how design is today the engine that drives industrial growth, technological innovation and the development of Made in Italy, testifying how the culture of design can be a bridge between different worlds.  Prominent voices from the Italian creative and production scene took turns on stage. Matteo Magni, Chairman and CEO of SACS Tecnorib, spoke about the business history of the boatyard and the strategy that led the SACS Strider, REBEL and Pirelli Speedboats brands to become an international industry benchmark. Architect Christian Grande, a central figure in contemporary yachting and designer of choice for the Brianza-based company, presented his expertise in industrial design as a competitive and cultural lever. Nicola Antonelli CMO of SACS Tecnorib, on the other hand, presented the positive impact of this philosophy on the strategic path the company has undertaken while Giacomo Bertolazzi, Head of Design School - IED Milan, spoke of the role of academic education in building the skills of tomorrow.  The moderator of the evening, Architect Mario Redaelli, MBCIRCLE associate and IED lecturer, accompanied the speeches, intertwining the academic and business perspectives.  The meeting, created to present the strength of design as a competitive lever and an element of connection between business, academia and design culture, was also an opportunity for SACS Tecnorib to celebrate the best IED theses of the students of the product design course: in the brief, they were asked to imagine future scenarios that would lead to the development of innovative concepts for maxi-ribs and luxury tenders, redefining the way we move on water. Sacs Tecnorib with Mar Garrente at Florence Biennale

From 18 to 26 October, the Florence Biennale of Contemporary Art, one of the world’s most prestigious events dedicated to art and design, featured Mar Garrente, a futuristic sculpture commissioned by Sacs Tecnorib and brought to life by designer Christian Grande and Henraux, a renowned Italian marble craft company.  Sculpted from Bianco Altissimo marble, Mar Garrente is the result of a concept developed by Sacs Tecnorib that explores the principles of Futurism and the dynamic intersection of art, design, and material. The work invited viewers to consider how seemingly distinct disciplines can harmoniously coexist, breaking free from traditional boundaries.  The use of marble, a material deeply rooted in classical tradition, establishes a dialogue with the history of sculpture. At the same time, the piece’s fluid lines and rhythmic structure evoke the motion and energy of modernity. In this interplay between stillness and movement, the sculpture generates a kind of "visual noise": a vibration that recalls the wind, the sea, and the power of the waves. These elements become metaphors for a constantly evolving creative force.  “We sought a work of art that would recount our story while looking ahead,” says Nicola Antonelli, Chief Marketing Officer of Sacs Tecnorib.  For Christian Grande, the challenge was to “capture the distinctive stylistic codes of the brand and translate them into an iconic symbol.”  The result is not self-celebratory, but a forward-looking design statement: a concept inspired by a high-performance Sport Coupé boat, conveying speed, energy, power, and solidity.  With this project, Sacs Tecnorib reaffirms its commitment to stylistic innovation while hinting at the future of nautical design. The visual language of Mar Garrente will influence upcoming models, both marking a new chapter for the brand and offering a glimpse of what lies ahead.

Viking at Bisbee's Los Cabos Offshore Tournament

No Limits Fishing, a Viking 61, took top billfish honors at the Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore tournament. Captain Jeffry Villarroel put Brian Spicer on a 432-pound black marlin on the final day of fishing. That fish translated to a six-figure check.  A total of 139 teams and 880 anglers competed and fished out of both the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez off Baja California’s southernmost tip. During the three days of fishing, 369 billfish were tallied, including 99 blue marlin, 116 sails,148 striped marlin and six blacks. “That was a fine tune-up,” said Tournament Director Wayne Bisbee. “Hopefully that’s a good omen for the Black & Blue.”

Viking at MONGO Offshore Challenge

The MONGO Offshore Challenge is more than just a fishing event. It creates an umbrella from which boats throughout the Gulf and the Mid-Atlantic can compete in the quest to catch the biggest fish. Spanning May 1 through September 30 (153 days), the season-long goal is to catch a big fish. And once again, Vikings were in the Winner’s Circle.  Gulf Coast; 2nd Place Blue Marlin, Breathe Easy – Viking 72.  Captain Patrick Ivie put Craig Smith on a 123.5-inch blue marlin that weighed 660.3 pounds at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic. They were fishing on Matt McDonald’s Viking 72 Breathe Easy.  3rd Place Blue Marlin, Cole Play – Viking 58.  Dale Cole, fishing on his Viking 58 Cole Play, weighed a 645.6-pound blue at the Blue Marlin Grand Championship in Orange Beach, Ala.  2nd Place Tuna, Nikki Bella – Viking 90.  Marc Padgett, fishing on his Viking 90 Nikki Bella, weighed the Heaviest Tuna, a 203.2-pound yellowfin, during the Blue Marlin Grand Championship in Orange Beach, Ala.  3rd Place Tuna, Doulos – Viking 82.  The 3rd Place Tuna was caught on the Viking 82 Doulos in May. 1st Place Mahi, Walk West – Viking 55.  The 1st Place Mahi was caught on Riley Rhodes Viking 55 Walk West and weighed 51.5 pounds.  East Coast.  1st Place Bigeye, Oppor-Tuna-Ty – Viking 68.  Dan Runey, fishing on the Viking 68 Oppor-Tuna-Ty, weighed a 237-pound fish during the Oak Bluffs Billfish Classic.  3rd Place Bigeye, Scup Slayer – Viking 72.  Travis Rhodes, fishing on the Viking 72 Scup Slayer, weighed a 194-pound bigeye in July.

Viking at Montego Bay Marlin Tournament

Safe Passage won the Montego Bay Yacht Club’s 64th annual Marlin Tournament. Fishing on Chris Berry’s Viking 62, the team released six blues. Kevin Mann was the Top Angler. In addition to Kevin, Chris, Mark Berry, Brian Pengelli and Bob Rawe each added a blue to the tally. "The highlight of the tournament was a triple header hookup with two successful releases,” said Chris. “During the triple header, there was a fourth marlin in the spread, but we decided to focus on what we had.” And it paid off!

Viking at Scrub Island Invitational

The Viking 82 Team Harvey captured the 2025 Scrub Island Invitational championship with 16 blue marlin releases. Shane Guidry, Tyler Hodge and Kyle Romstadt combined for seven releases in Leg I and nine in Leg II.  They opened the series by winning Leg I on the strength of Shane’s five blues and Tyler’s two. In Leg II, Shane and Kyle added nine more to place second for that leg, clinching the overall title.

Viking Appreciation Clam Bake 

Viking’s annual Employee Appreciation Clam Bake was another smashing success on a picture-perfect Indian Summer Day. The theme that emerged throughout the event was SMILES. Big and little, sticky and sweet – there were happy faces everywhere. Giggles and laughter rang out as the boatbuilders and their families enjoyed lip-smacking, delicious food and activities for all ages. They also went on tours of the factory and world-class yachts.  “The Clam Bake is an incredible day for our boatbuilders and their families,” said Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “To see everyone together — including second and third generations — makes it really special. It’s rewarding to share this time and show how much we appreciate everything they do.”

Apreamare shipyard, global ambassador of the “Gozzo Sorrentino” reinterpreted in a modern key, announces the entry of Riello Investimenti SGR into its share capital with a 60% stake. The transaction was carried out through the Italian Strategy Private Equity fund, the third fund managed by Riello Investimenti SGR, whose portfolio currently includes 11 acquisitions, including 3 add-ons.  As part of the agreement, Cataldo Aprea and Rita Pollio will ensure managerial continuity, maintaining their respective roles as Chairman and CEO of the new company.

Azimut-Benetti Group Forecast to Close 2025 at 1.5 Billion Revenues

Three strategic drivers: 115 million in infrastructure, two new product categories to boost the high-end range while engaging both experienced and next-generation owners, and expansion into new key markets, confirming the Group's international leadership.  At the end of the 2024/2025 nautical season, the Azimut|Benetti Group expects revenues of €1.5 billion, up 15% on the previous year and in line with business plan targets. The backlog secured since January 1, 2025 – standing at €2.5 billion euros and extending into 2029 – testifies to the solidity of the Group’s order book and reinforces the consolidation target for financial 2025/2026.  The Group’s performance, which has succeeded in achieving its growth objectives and generating value for stakeholders despite the market slowdown, demonstrates the solidity and foresight of its vision. Saudi Arabia is the most emblematic case: over €300 million in sales over the past 24 months and two new offices soon to open: Azimut in Gedda and Benetti in Riyadh.  In the Asia Pacific region, also characterised by an emerging pool of new owners and now a maturing market, Azimut|Benetti Group has a long-standing presence and is represented both directly and through a wide network of dealers across the main countries: Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam and, of course, Australia and New Zealand.
The Americas, and the United States in particular – a market in which Azimut|Benetti Group holds a position of leadership in the category – are becoming a springboard for the Shipyard to achieve ambitious goals, despite the fact that it is currently the most challenging area because of the new import tariffs. Bayliss at White Marlin Open

The White Marlin Open brought a little weather and a lot of talent, and our Bayliss Boatworks family was well-represented on the leader board.  Catch 23 (Bayliss 82’) weighed a 71 lb white on its final fishing day, finishing 2nd in the category and 3rd overall with 806 points. The crew tallied 9 whites, 1 blue, and a dolphin, earning an estimated $389,377.  Mama C (Bayliss 62’) weighed a 95 lb tuna on Day 2—good for the daily tuna win and 3rd overall in the division, with a $111,529 pay-out.  Congratulations to the Bayliss captains, crews, and owners on an impressive week.

Bayliss at Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament

Catch 23's summer momentum continued into the Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament, finishing 3rd overall and earning $192,073. The crew set the pace on Day 1 with 10 white marlin releases for 1st Place Daily, then stayed strong on Day 3 with two blue releases for 2nd Place Daily.  Angler Paige Bayliss released one blue and four whites to secure Top Lady Angler honors. Across three fishing days, Catch 23 released a total of 10 whites, 3 blues, and 1 sail—a testament to the efficiency of both the team and the Bayliss build.  Congratulations on a job well done!

Bayliss at Beach Haven White Marline International

Shark Byte (Bayliss 73’) set a tournament record at the Beach Haven White Marlin Invitational, releasing 30 whites in two days. The 56th running—hosted by the Beach Haven Marlin & Tuna Club in Beach Haven, NJ—featured four fishing days and more than 200 marlin released. Known as the oldest white marlin tournament in the U.S., the event drew 58 boats competing for a record purse of about $575,000.  Congratulations to the Shark Byte team, who won Top Boat and Top Captain!

Bayliss at MidAtlantic

The MidAtlantic and Hurricane Erin landed in the same week, prompting an added fishing day and plenty of weather watching.  Yard customer, Max Bet (Spencer 66’) placed 2nd overall with 2,325 points after releasing 31 white marlin and weighing in a 97 lb yellowfin, earning $70,288.  Catch 23 kept its leader board streak alive with 30 white marlin releases and 2,250 points over three fishing days, finishing 3rd overall in white marlin points.  Bayliss is proud to to see the family of the boatyard and new construction topping the charts.


Cantieri di Pisa and T. Mariotti Strategic Partnership

Two Italian yachting icons join forces to write a new chapter in superyacht history: Cantieri di Pisa and T. Mariotti have signed a strategic agreement, announced during the Monaco Yacht Show, with the aim of creating a new generation of outstanding yachts, entirely designed and built in Italy.  The first result of this agreement will be Super Polaris 70 powered by T. Mariotti, a 70-metre superyacht that combines the distinctive style of a storied line with cutting-edge technologies and a focus on sustainability. The interiors will be designed by Pulina Exclusive Interiors.


Feadship Joins Nuclear Energy Maritime Organization

Feadship has officially joined the Nuclear Energy Maritime Organization (NEMO), a collective dedicated to advancing fair and effective regulations for the deployment, operation, and decommissioning of floating nuclear power.  This step builds on Feadship’s energy transition roadmap launched in 2020, which defines the shipyard’s pioneering path toward carbon-neutral yachting. Milestones already achieved include next-generation multi-fuel systems and the integration of fuel cell technology, demonstrating both technical readiness and long-term ambition.  With fourth-generation nuclear reactors now approaching maturity, floating nuclear power is gaining attention across the maritime sector. Potential applications from the mid-2030s include offshore power barges for synthetic fuel production and zero-emission propulsion for the world’s largest vessels. For Feadship, maintaining an open perspective on such transformative technologies is essential to future-proof superyachting.  Through dedicated R&D, Feadship has explored the potential of nuclear propulsion for yachts, examining the technological, regulatory, and operational implications. While economic and crew-related challenges remain considerable, the absence of clear regulation remains the primary barrier to adoption. Issues such as radiation dose limits, operational freedom in sensitive ecological zones, and access to densely populated harbours must be addressed before nuclear systems can realistically play a role in yachting.  By joining NEMO, Feadship contributes to shaping the regulatory frameworks that will enable responsible innovation. Feadship Resale represented the buyer, a long-standing Feadship owner, with Edmiston acting as the seller’s representative.  The 49.50-metre, Project 717 combines an angular, low-profile exterior by Studio De Voogt with an interior defined by serene lines and a contemporary sense of calm. Accommodation is provided for ten guests across five staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s stateroom with panoramic views and private study.  Outdoor highlights include a glass-fronted Jacuzzi, fold-down bulwarks that extend the beach club, and a sundeck with bar and barbecue.  This transaction marks another milestone for Feadship Resale, the recently established division dedicated to supporting clients in the purchase and resale of existing Feadships. Following the sales of ONE and Savannah, the division continues to demonstrate its value as a trusted platform for both buyers and sellers.


Ferretti Group Private Preview at Monaco with Simply Red

The allure of the sea, the splendour of the world’s most beautiful yachts and a great evening of music all helped make the tenth Ferretti Group Private Preview a memorable and exclusive event, held this year from September 4 to 7 in the unique setting of the Yacht Club de Monaco.
The event reserved for selected customers and guests showcased the most eagerly awaited new products from the Group’s brands, featuring eight premières by Ferretti Yachts, Itama, Riva and Pershing. The fleet was completed by over 30 yachts in a spectacular preview that wowed the audience of international owners.  The star of the evening show on Saturday September 6 was British band Simply Red led by Mick Hucknall, with a magnificent live performance that anticipates the band’s 40th anniversary world tour. The audience's excitement was palpable, with evergreen hits including Stars and Holding Back the Years alongside new songs performed on a stage suspended over the water and surrounded by the majestic Ferretti Group fleet.  Another highlight of the evening was the haute cuisine dinner curated by chef Antonio Mellino – his Quattro Passi a Nerano restaurant on the magical Amalfi Coast has won three Michelin stars – who delighted guests with a refined and creative gastronomic journey.  “A big thank you to Mick Hucknall and Simply Red—I am still singing all the many hits from their fantastic concert! This wonderful evening goes to show that talent and passion are the key ingredients of every successful project, from music to yachts. A Private Preview – in its tenth edition – as exciting as this one, with eight premières and the most fantastic boats of the world, is the perfect start to this year’s boat show season,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.  The success of the tenth Private Preview was sealed by eight premières that thrilled guests with exclusive visits and sea trials: the innovative Ferretti Yachts 800; the breakthrough Itama 54; Aquariva Special, the only Special after the Aquarama; Riva Cento, the limited edition celebrating the 100th Rivamare; Riva 58’ Capri, the new-generation sport open yacht, and Riva 112’ Dolcevita Super, the new flybridge yacht with expanded spaces and dimensions for outstanding liveability. Lurssen Sells NVL Naval Division to Rheinmetall

Bremen-based shipyard group Lürssen has confirmed the sale of its naval division, NVL (Naval Vessels Lürssen), to German defence contractor Rheinmetall. The move marks a major shift for the family-owned company, which will now focus entirely on the construction, refit and repair of yachts.  Rheinmetall will take over all NVL sites, shipyards and staff, including its management team, and integrate the division into its naval business. The deal, which remains subject to regulatory approval, is expected to be completed in the coming weeks and forms part of the wider consolidation of Germany’s defence industry.  “Given today’s heightened security environment, we believe consolidation within the defence sector is both necessary and sensible,” said Friedrich Lürssen, Managing Partner of Lürssen Maritime Beteiligungen GmbH & Co. KG.“By selling NVL to Rheinmetall, we are laying the foundation for a capable defence champion with broad system expertise. We are pleased to have found a strong and reliable partner that can offer NVL and its employees a secure future.”  For Lürssen, the decision represents a clear strategic realignment. Having separated its naval and yacht operations in 2021, the group will now concentrate exclusively on yacht building under the Lürssen brand. Princess Yachts, the UK’s leading luxury yacht manufacturer, is proud to mark ten years of collaboration with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) – a decade dedicated to protecting and regenerating vital marine habitats. This milestone also sees t he natural conclusion of Princess Yachts’ renewed three-year sponsorship of the PLYMFI SH project, the latest in a legacy of impactful joint initiatives since the partnership began in 2015.   A Decade of Tangible Impact Over the past ten years, Princess Yachts and MCS have delivered pioneering marine conservation projects, from seabed monitoring to habit at regeneration: • Protecting Eddystone Reef: In 2015, Princess Yachts began funding deep water camera monitoring of the 25km² Eddystone Marine Protected Area off the coast of Plymouth. The research revealed significant wildlife recovery and provided vital evidence for stronger protect ions of the UK’s marine habitats.   Seagrass Recovery with Advanced Mooring Systems: In 2019, alongside the National Marine Aquarium, the partnership funded eco-friendly moorings in Cawsand and Kingsand Bay. These advanced systems dramatically reduce seabed disturbance, allowing environmentally important seagrass beds to flourish again.  Plymfish - Under standing Local Marine Life: Since 2022, Princess Yachts has supported MCS in mapping Plymouth Sound’s marine species using innovative Baited Remote Under water Video (BRUV). This research identified key habitats for fish and other species, informing targeted conservation measures and stronger protections for vulnerable areas.  The partnership’s work has influenced policy, strengthened Marine Protected Areas across the UK, and provided scalable solutions like Seagrass Advanced Mooring Systems that are now being adopted across the Atlantic coast.  Gareth Cunningham , Director of Conservation and Policy at the Marine Conservation Society, said: “Our partnership with Princess Yachts has been invaluable in protecting and regenerating our ocean. Sanlorenzo returns to the Cannes Yachting Festival with a clear message of momentum, vision, and evolution. The brand opens the European boat show season by marking the 20th anniversary of Massimo Perotti’s transformative leadership. Net revenues from new yachts reached € 454 million in H1 2025, up  9.4% year-on-year. EBITDA rose by 8.5% to € 80.5 million, with a margin of 17,7%. The company confirmed a robust order backlog of €1.44 billion as of 30 June, reflecting continued demand across the segment above 30 mt of its Yacht and Superyacht business units, as well as strong momentum from recent acquisitions, including Sanlorenzo’s strategic entry into sailing with Nautor Swan.  Having reconfirmed its financial guidance for 2025, the company is targeting annual revenues of circa €1 billion for the first time — a step-change from €42 million in 2004 when Mr Perotti joined, ahead of taking over the company in 2005.  “The stability and measured growth achieved in the first-half of 2025 reflect the resilience of Sanlorenzo, the strength of our brand, and the timeless desirability of our yachts. Sanlorenzo Art Present Breathtaking by Fabrizio Ferri

Sanlorenzo, a symbol of culture and craftsmanship in the world of yachting, proudly presents Breathtaking as the inaugural exhibition at Casa Sanlorenzo, the brand’s new cultural hub in Venice, under the banner of Sanlorenzo Arts. Conceived and created by internationally renowned artist Fabrizio Ferri, the installation is a reflection on the devastating impact of plastic and microplastic pollution in the oceans – a work that underscores the direct link between marine pollution and its lethal consequences for human life.  Housed in a restored 1940s villa overlooking the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute, Casa Sanlorenzo was restored by Sanlorenzo’s Artistic Director, Piero Lissoni, and conceived as a place where design, dialogue, and environmental awareness converge. Accessible through the first pedestrian bridge built in Venice since 2008, the opening of this space marks a bold new chapter in Sanlorenzo’s journey, where excellence in yachting meets artistic and sustainable purpose.  Following its acclaimed debut at the Museo di Storia Naturale in Milan earlier this year, with more than 40.000 visits in four days, Breathtaking arrives in Venice with an entirely new addition: a portrait of music legend and activist Sting. In this haunting body of work, Ferri encases 13 iconic figures in plastic, suspended in a breathless stillness. The striking visuals evoke the silent suffocation of marine ecosystems under the weight of plastic pollution.  “Not long ago, I stumbled upon some very disturbing photographs of a seal and a dolphin suffocated by plastic bags. Looking at these images I gained a new awareness: the deadly force of the contamination of the seas and oceans that we cause with plastic and microplastics is not only killing the oceans, we are also killing ourselves. To share this conviction, I conceived an installation, Breathtaking, capturing dramatic portraits of famous international talents as if asphyxiated by plastic. Their adhesion to the project has been immediate and emotional. Each of the large format prints will hang on a black wall, transfixed by two hand-forged iron nails. The viewer will be immersed inside this oval-shaped installation, at the center of which will be placed a transparent glass coffin filled with water." – said Fabrizio Ferri. Breathtaking will immerse visitors in the haunting silence of the deep sea through a striking and fully enveloping installation. At its centre, a large glass coffin filled with seawater — a potent symbol of the fragility of marine ecosystems and of life itself — will stand surrounded by 13 large-scale images, mounted on a black wall and pierced with raw iron nails. Marina Abramović has contributed to the work by proposing the recreation of the ocean’s soundless void through the use of noise-cancelling headphones.  With this first exhibition, Casa Sanlorenzo establishes itself not only as an exhibition space but also as a symbol of the brand’s cultural commitment. Curated under the Sanlorenzo Arts programme, this venue is a platform for interdisciplinary exploration, where sustainability, design, and the sea become the canvas for a new creative dialogue.  Held during the Venice International Film Festival and the 2025 Biennale Architettura, the opening brought together leading figures from the worlds of yachting, architecture, art, and cinema – including multi-award-winning actor Willem Dafoe, whose portrait appears in the exhibition alongside those of Sting, of course, Helena Christensen, Misty Copeland, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Gala Gonzalez, Julianne Moore, Bridget Moynahan, Carolyn Murphy, Isabella Rossellini, Susan Sarandon, Naomi Watts.  “Casa Sanlorenzo is a natural extension of our philosophy, where beauty and responsibility go hand in hand,” declared Massimo Perotti, Executive Chairman Sanlorenzo.  “With Breathtaking, we open our doors not only to art but to a deeper conversation about the future of our oceans. This is not just an installation. It is a statement of intent.”  Open until 23 November, Breathtaking places Sanlorenzo at the heart of Venice’s cultural season, inviting its yacht owners, art collectors, creators, and change-makers into a space that reflects the brand’s most pressing values: innovation, sustainability, and beauty with purpose.  The Breathtaking installation, curated by Geraldina Polverelli Ferri and Cristiano Seganfreddo, was photographed in New York by Geraldina Polverelli Ferri and in Italy with the support of Nobile Agency, in collaboration with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, with the backing of Credem Euromobiliare Private Banking.  The exhibition is open to the public from Tuesday 2 September to Sunday 23 November, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm (Thursday to Sunday).

Sunreef Takes World Yacht Trophy

On September 13, at the World Yachts Trophies ceremony held on the iconic Carlton beach in Cannes, the ULTIMA 55 won the prestigious award for Best Catamaran Exterior Design. Additionally, the Ras Al Khaimah shipyard received recognition for its impressive development efforts. The award highlights the strategic importance of this new facility in expanding Sunreef’s global production capabilities.


Tankoa Yachts Acquires Otam

Tankoa Yachts, the boutique shipyard specializing in the construction of custom superyachts, announces the acquisition of OTAM’s business division. The transaction, finalized in full agreement with the two founding families, includes both the historic shipyard in Genoa and the OTAM brand. The dockyard activities in Santa Margherita Ligure will remain under the ownership of the current owners.  The expansion project presented by Tankoa Yachts at the beginning of 2025 continues successfully. The OTAM facility covers approximately 4,800 sqm of covered areas, 3,300 sqm of open-air spaces and a water basin of nearly 10,000 sqm, complete with existing infrastructure and operational workshops. Tankoa will undergo a restructuring and upgrading program that includes extending concessions, consolidating and reorganizing these areas, and building new production sheds in line with the shipyard’s current needs.  The operation goes beyond facilities and infrastructure: the OTAM workforce is being integrated into the Tankoa Yachts team, ensuring job continuity while enriching the shipyard with new skills and experience.  The OTAM brand, with its long-standing heritage and solid international reputation, thus becomes part of Tankoa’s portfolio. The shipyard is committed to preserving its legacy, while defining the strategy that best aligns with its long-term vision.  With this transaction, Tankoa Yachts further strengthens its bond with the city of Genoa, reaffirming its role as an ambassador of Italian yacht building excellence and consolidating its presence in the region.


Viking Support Bluefin Science

Despite the harvest closure, fishermen with HMS (Highly Migratory Species) Angling or charter/headboat permits may still catch and release – or tag and release – bluefin of all sizes. At the same time, anglers play a vital role in science. Fin clips can be taken alongside the boat before release and sent to the University of Maine’s Pelagic Fisheries Lab for the Genetics for Giants and Juvies project. Viking and its partners are advocating for stronger science and smarter management to ensure consistent access while protecting the stock.  NOAA closed the western Atlantic bluefin tuna angling category on Aug. 12 after estimating 244 metric tons landed toward the 2025 quota of 297. The closure has caused frustration and economic loss, even as the stock rebuilds. But anglers can make a difference. Training included thorough tours of the production lines and in-depth product sessions, underscoring Galati’s commitment to product knowledge, company philosophy and the boatbuilding processes. The Masters Program helps keep our dealer partnerships strong – another way of building a better boat every day.

Viking at Hurricane Hole Invitational 

Mr. Mackie released three blue marlin to take the 2nd Place Release title at the Hurricane Hole Invitational. Captain Robert “Cujo” Brinkmeyer put the Viking 68 on three blue marlin for the honors. Third Place Release based on time went to the Viking 58 Rising Sons with three blues. Jaselyn Berthelot weighed the 3rd Place Tuna at 84.5 pounds.  Chris Braud, fishing on the Viking 54 Hammerhead, angled the 1st Place Tuna at 199 pounds. The 3rd Place Wahoo went to Brandon Babin’s 21-pound fish caught on the Viking 56 Miss Maysen. 

Viking at Beach Haven White Marlin International

The Viking 62 Lovin’ Life racked up a lot of hardware at the Beach Haven White Marlin Invitational – and set a new record. “We broke a 56-year-old one-day release record with 17 billfish,” said owner Billy Wrede. “That’s pretty cool!” Captain Tim Tanghere put the team on 27 white marlin to claim 2nd Place Most Combined Points, 2nd Place White Marlin Combined Points, 2nd Place Overall Billfish Points. Jerry Brophy also took 2nd Place Angler. Bamm Bamm, a Viking 48, earned 3rd Place Most Combined Points, 3rd Place White Marlin Combined Points, 3rd Place Overall Billfish Points. The Viking 74 Gray Fox won 1st Place Yellowfin/Stringer with a pair of tuna weighing a combined 207.9 pounds. The Top Junior Angler was Gerald Barrett Jr. on the Viking 55 Harvester.

Viking at Cape May Marlin and Tuna Club Ladies Billfish Invitational

Judge, a Viking 64, released six white marlin to capture 2nd Place Billfish Release honors at the Cape May Marlin & Tuna Club Ladies Billfish Invitational. The angling team was comprised of Raine DeRose, Jill Giancola, Heather Jaworski, Kathleen McHugh and Heather Williams. Third Place Billfish Release went to the Viking 46 Got Game based on time. Maria Wehymer released four whites for the Top Female Angler title. The Heaviest Tuna was 35.4 pounds and was hooked by Erica Smith on the Viking 57 Warden Pass.

Viking at Hamptons Shootout

Alexa Ann, a Viking 52, weighed the 2nd Heaviest Tuna at the inaugural Hamptons Shootout – a 177.8-pound bigeye. The crew claimed 2nd Place in the Heaviest Three Yellowfin category with a weight of 223.6 pounds.  The Viking 72 One Love hooked the 3rd Heaviest Yellowfin at 97.6 pounds. The team also took 3rd Heaviest Albacore at 35.4 pounds and 1st Place in the Heaviest Trifecta (yellowfin, longfin and mahi) with a weight of 140.6 pounds.  Second Heaviest Albacore (35.6 pounds) and the 3rd Heaviest Trifecta went to the Viking 62 Resolute. The Viking 50 Gunite took Heaviest Wahoo at 30.2 pounds, Heaviest Swordfish at 128.6 pounds and Heaviest Mahi at 24.4 pounds. The Heaviest Bluefin went to the Viking 54 Two Docks with a 36.6-pound tuna. 

Viking at White Marlin Open

A sporty forecast for Maryland’s 52nd annual White Marlin Open forced the organizers to extend the event for two days. The 286 teams strategically chose their three fishing days, now spanning from Monday through Sunday, in pursuit of the $7.2 million purse.  The Viking 72 C- Student kicked off the tournament on Day One with the first fish to the scales, Keeley Megarity’s 52.5-pound yellowfin. But it would prove to be a long week.  When the scales finally closed at 9 p.m. on Sunday, the Viking 58 Sea Hab sat at the top of the Tuna Division with a 188-pound fish. Jonathan Cianciulli hooked the fish on the last day of the event to claim a six-figure check. Sweet Freedom, a Viking 52, weighed the 3rd Place Dolphin with Angelo Ponte’s 26.5-pounder.  Ken Hager’s Viking 62 Taylor Jean dominated the Release Division. The team released a blue and 13 white marlin for 1st Place Boat and 1st Place Release Boat. Rob Wagner was the Top Angler with seven of those releases. Captain Blaine Birch and mates Jarrett Birch and Stephen Birch received rings for Top Captain and Top Mates.  Second Place Boat and 2nd Place Release Boat went to Rob Carmichael’s Viking 62 Lights Out. The team released a blue and 11 white marlin, and Jackie Hayes was the 5th Place Angler. Third Place Release Boat and 4th Place Boat went to the Viking 62 Pachanga, and Robert Paquette was the 9th Place Angler.  Rounding out the top 10 Release Boats was the Anderson family’s Viking 80 Krazy Salt’s. Payton Weber on the Viking 64 JuJu was the 3rd Place Lady Angler with four white marlin releases and a 53-pound tuna. The White Marlin Open partners with Catch-n-Carry to donate weighed fish to food pantries, both local and throughout Maryland.  

Viking at Texas Legends Billfish Tournament

Instigator, Josh Owens’ Viking 70, pocketed the big check at the Texas Legends Billfish Tournament. The team released eight blue marlin, three whites and three sailfish for 1st Place Overall Billfish and 1st Place Blue Marlin Points.   Second Heaviest Yellowfin – a 59.5-pound tuna – was weighed from Riley Rhodes’ Viking 55 Walk West. The Viking 62 See-Mah weighed the 3rd Place Tuna at 59.2 pounds. Bimini Babe, a Viking 82, claimed 3rd Place Wahoo with a 27.5-pound fish.

Captain West Rivers and the team on the Viking 68 topped the released division at the Ocean City Marlin & Tuna Club Gold Star Offshore Open. The team released a pair of blue marlin and 45 whites to take Top Billfish Release Team. The Eni family’s Viking 58 On A Roll tallied 16 white marlin for 3rd Place Release Team.

Viking at Texas Woman Anglers Tournament

Sea Senora racked up awards at the Texas Women Anglers Tournament. Captain Sean Byers was at the helm, and Lindsay Caudle, Nena Hale, Melissa Peters, Viviana Ramirez and Jana Wolfe were in the cockpit of the Viking 66. The team claimed 1st Place Overall Points, 1st Place Billfish Releases, 2nd Place Blue Marlin Points and 2nd Place White Marlin Points with two blue, two white and two sail releases and a tuna and dolphin.  The Viking 62 Sarco took 2nd Place Overall Points, 2nd Place Billfish Releases and 1st Place Blue Marlin Points with their three blue marlin and two white marlin releases, along with a pair of dolphin. Jordan Soechting, fishing on the Viking 61 Fin Stalker, released two blue marlin to take 3rd Place Blue Marlin Points and Top Lady Angler. Teammate Emma Manning weighed a 29-pound dolphin to win that category.  First Place White Marlin Points went to the Viking 55 Deez Nautz with three whites. Second Place Sailfish Points went to the Viking 55 Marilee with three releases. Third Place Sailfish Points was the Viking 52 RamBILL’n with a pair. Mandy Medenhall weighed the 3rd Heaviest Dolphin from the Viking 70 Double E. 

Viking at Cape May Marlin and Tuna Club Labor Day Overnight Tournament

There was no day off for the teams fishing the Cape May Marlin & Tuna Club Labor Day Overnight Tournament. Leading the fleet was the Viking 82 with an incredible 40 white marlin releases. With captain Sean Dooley at the wheel and Pat Healey leading the charge, the team of Tyler Beckford, Joe Coyle, Thomas “Smalls” Garmany, Drew McDowell, Eric McDowell and West Rivers worked the ‘pit for Top Billfish Release honors.  Certainly not out to lunch was the Viking 68 La Barca. Captain Dave Cooper put Steve Colanero and his team on 18 white marlin releases for the 2nd Place Billfish Release title. Jim McCarthy and his crew on the Viking 58 Covert Mission secured 3rd Place Billfish Release with one blue marlin and nine whites. High Life, a Viking 64, claimed 1st and 2nd Place Heaviest Mahi.  Thanks to our friend James Gatto at Blue Water Photography for getting the job done with this great shot of Covert Mission hard at work.
