Project: Tidewater 330 CC

Tidewater from South Carolina presents the 330 CC project.  Second in size model behind the 380 CC which arrived in 2022, the 330 CC is a replacement to the 320 CC in Tidewater flagship CC Adventure Series of offshore centre console line up which today features twelve models from five to eleven meters.  The Tidewater 330 CC comes with a few important differences to the 320 CC; from a twin stepped hull which Tidewater introduced on its flagship in 2022, and then on the 302 CC in 2025, to a cuddy cabin with toilet under the centre console.   The Tidewater 330 CC is to be powered by outboard engines from twin Yamaha 450hp, to triple 300hp.

Aft Cabin Cruiser Ends Aground Near Jewfish Key, Florida

A sixteen meter aft cabin yacht with three persons onboard ended aground at Longboat Pass new Jewfish Key, Florida on a story shared by Florida Gulf Coast Marine Service on the 27 March.  This boat was reported to have run aground the day before near Anna Maria Island but was ungrounded, only to end grounded again as they were trying to set anchor near Jewfish Key, with the tide going out leaving them high and dry for a second time in less to a day.  Florida Gulf Coast of TowboatU.S ungrounded the yacht and put it into deep water, who then proceeded with it's own power into its cruise.
The aft cabin yacht in this accident is a Gulfstar 53 Trawler as produced from 1975 to 76 in ten units.  The 53 Trawler shared hull with the 53 Motorsailor, with both models being Gulfstar flagships in that time of production.

Lost Occasion

Announced as a total new model by Sunseeker, the hype was all building for the new Manhattan 56.  Hyped even more as Sunseeker did not share any information or renderings to the press and general public.  Unfortunately in the end the Manhattan 56 turned to be an improved Manhattan 55 which arrived in 2021, and was an improved Manhattan 52 which debuted in 2016.

The new Manhattan 56 is a model which is based on a ten year old platform and unfortunately for Sunseeker it is starting to show versus the competition.  The improvements to the hard-top and aft deck give it some extended life.  But is it enough?  The fore-deck which for example was never improved from the Manhattan 52 is one of the areas that needed a re think probably even more that the aft cockpit and hard-top.

The 52/55 Manhattan platform was a huge success for Sunseeker, it's best selling flybridge motor yacht with 131 hulls sold for the 52, and 103 sold of the 55.  Probably this version will extend it a life line but to what the competition advancement has come to from the likes of Absolute, Azimut, Cruisers, Fairline, Ferretti, Galeon, Prestige, Princess this is a product which is falling behind in today very innovative market.
