Halit Yukay the founder and chairman of Mazu yachts has left for the better world at 43 years old following an accident as he was in navigation with his Mazu 42 HT m/y Graywolf and collided into a dry cargo ship on Monday fourth August. After an extensive research his body was found nineteen days later on 24 August in a depth of 68 meters near the boats collision area. Born in Istanbul in 1982 Halit Yukay was a respected yacht designer and following his bachelor in Interior and Industrial Design from İnt.Academy of Design and Technology, he founded his yacht design firm Yukay Yacht Design in 2005. The yacht design firm was followed by the founding of Mazu Yachts in February 2011. Mazu will debut its first ThirtEight model in 2018, and will offer always larger yachts, entering 24 meters plus super yachting in 2020 with the EightTwo model. Today Mazu produces eight models from 38 foot to a forty meters which is still in project. Halit Yukay leaves behind by his current Greek spouse who also works as public relations with Mazu and his one son, and friends.
