Westport Yachts New Web Site

Westport Yachts presents its new web site.  Westport was founded in 1964 in Westport, Washington State by Ricky and Randy Rust.  For the first years Westport was building commercial fishing vessels, with the first yacht arriving in 1972, and hull number 21 of the 36 foot 3600 Series which was delivered in 55 hulls from 1969 to 1983, most of which fishing vessels, some passenger, and two other yachts which were the last two builds of the series.  The second yacht will arrived in 1974 with the custom 31 foot hull number 7.  Seeing the interest in yachts growing the Rust brothers commit themselves to yacht building, investing in the largest automated fabric impregnator for building moulds.  With this expansion Westport gets the attention of important yacht designers like Ed Monk who commissions a custom 78 foot in 1982, and is followed by Jack Sarin who is given the duty to design the 98 Raised Pilothouse production series which debuts in 1987.  In 1999 Westport will purchase 1996 founded nearby Pacific Mariner Yachts and its facilities, moving production to its own facilities in 2009, and then stop the brand in 2014.  In June 2014 Westport is sold to a group led by Gary Chouest, founder of Galliano, Los Angeles shipyard Edison Chouest.  Today Westport has two building yacht facilities in Washington state, the main headquarters at Port Angeles and Westport, with a distance of just under two hundred miles in between the two facilities.  Westport has till today build over one hundred yachts, and currently offers four semi-production super yachts from 35 up to 52 meters.  Westport new web site takes you around with the following buttons; Westport New Yacht Models, Brokerage Yacht Sales, Westport Yacht Charters, Wesport Advantage, Westport News and Highlights, Westport Sales and Charter Offices, and Contact Westport Yachts.  Westport is also on social media with bottom Menu tab taking you to its; Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, Youtube, and Blogger pages.
