Project: Holterman X-65

Dutch yacht and superyacht builder Holterman Shipyard has is currently doing the finishing touches for the first Xtreme X-65 model. Desgined as all Holterman Xtreme models by Bernd Weel, with naval architecture by Trimm the X-65 is being build with steel construction, and will offer spacious storage areas, innovative exterior elements and an interior that features a double-height lower saloon-office. The X-65 is not only the ultimate robust cruiser, this first hull is also a yacht built around the needs of a European client with ambitions to cruise Northern European waters and the Norwegian fjords.  The owner’s requests were mainly focused on the interior layout, resulting in a split-level living area with a modern and beautifully equipped aft galley plus a seating and spacious dining area at main deck level overlooking an atrium-style lower saloon that offers an office area plus a television lounge. The centreline helm sits at the forward end of the saloon overlooking the lower lounge, with excellent visibility all around the yacht.  The X-65 lower saloon has an added function too, with  the television lounge area can convert into an additional double bed in case of extra guests or family staying over.  Accommodation is for two staterooms, with an owners master at midships with en-suite head to prot, and a VIP suite forward. The Holterman X-65 is to be powered by twin Volvo 300hp with direct line shaft propulsion for top speeds up to twelve knots, and a cruise of eight which gives a range up to 1350 nautical miles.

Project: Holterman X-95

Holterman reveals the striking X-95, a brand new model sixty years in the making, which the Dutch semi-custom yacht builder offers a tantalizing glimpse at a brand new addition to its brilliantly crafted Xtreme range of yachts which began with the concept for the multi-award-winning 33-metre X-105 Lady Fleur, launched in 2022. After several years of development, the Xtreme range has grown to include the X-54, X-65 and X-78 Sport and Fly. The new yacht project, the X-95 offers the ultimate bridge between the semi-custom sub-24-metre Xtremes and the finesse and fire of the innovative X-105. The philosophy behind the X-95 is simple, to create the very best yacht possible at thirty meters. The result is a triumph of design, style, function and form, with an all-aluminum build and performance predicted at 22 to 24 knots, plus a design feature that will enable the X-95 to carry one of the largest tenders in its size bracket. Central to the X-95’s development has been the shipyard’s straight forward approach to design and engineering, capitalizing on the heritage it has built since its founding in 1964. The resulting concept, which will be built to Class rather than the recreational CE mark, is, says Weel, the perfect size with the perfect features for cruising the Mediterranean and beyond. The styling shares the same DNA as the rest of the Xtreme line, drawing on the distinctive, highly sculptural lines of the X-105 which have been shared across the range. Other features will include a luxurious and light owner’s suite forward on the main deck that will lead out to a private owner terrace on the bow, a raised pilothouse design accessed via steps from the saloon, which itself will offer extraordinary levels of space as it will be a full-beam saloon with large glass panels on each side, plus an expansive sundeck that can be outfitted to cater to all indulgences, including the addition of a spa pool. Guest accommodation on the lower deck will comprise four spacious en-suite cabins.  A proven and reliable double shaft engine setup will power the X-95 delivering excellent performance, and for maximum maneuverability powerful bow and stern thrusters are installed. The model will also be future-proofed with an exhaust treatment system that meets IMO Tier III standards. Range is predicted to be in the region of 1,800 nautical miles at a mid-cruise of around fifteen knots. As Weel and the shipyard finalize the design, one thing is clear that the X-95 will stand as another milestone in Holterman’s extraordinary history as the yard celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2024. Alongside the avantgarde styling and innovative features, the X-95 encapsulates the core ethos of the shipyard, which puts technical competence, build quality and customer requests at the center of everything it does.

New Model: Holterman X-78 Fly

Holterman has launched the second hull of its X-78 model, with this new unit being the Fly for flybridge version and set to go in the Mediterranean sea.  The first Holterman X-78 Fly was finalized ahead of delivery to a highly experienced owner, and is another addition to the groundbreaking Xtreme series line-up from Dutch shipyard Holterman. Drawing on the technical and construction prowess of Holterman, the X-78 Fly is designed by Bernd Weel, and features interiors by Kitty van der Kamp, and naval architecture by Sea Level and Diana. The owner was also integral part of the design and build with him input coming at every before and during construction stage.  With X-78 Fly, Holterman Xtreme series which launched to universal acclaim with the award-winning X-105 in 2022 is here to stay bringing ever a growing stable of thoroughbred luxury yachts and super yachts. Holterman’s philosophy in developing the X-78 Fly was simple but multi-faceted, take the X-78 Sport, a non-flybridge variant that was built for and delivered to an owner who wanted the best yacht he could get for cruising the confines of the Dutch canals, and elevate it literally to the next level with the addition of the perfect flybridge. The genius lay in the development of the X-78 Sport specifically to include a future Fly variant, using the same aluminum hull and superstructure, advanced engineering platform and lower and main deck layouts for efficiency but adding the Fly to create the ultimate boat for the Med and beyond.

New Model: Holterman Xtreme X-54

Holterman like to call its small Xtreme X-54 as a pocket-sized superyacht, a legitimate claim due for the bespoke construction and custom features which comes even in the entry level of the Dutch builder futuristic looking Xtreme series.  The owners of the Xtreme X-54 required a relaxed and luxurious cruiser to enjoy on European rivers, made possible by a low height and collapsible mast for navigating inland bridges. The overall interior layout of the Xtreme 54 revolves around maximizing space. The main deck lounge has an extra-large sunroof which sheds lots of light on the seating area. A smart divider between the lounge and the galley doubles as an extra cupboard on the starboard side. The galley itself is highly spec'd and leads to a generous helm station. A bright and harmonious interior style with only a limited amount of wood is achieved by starting with darker colors at floor level and gradually lightening the feel using elements of lacquer and leather.  The Holterman Xtreme X-54 is powered by twin Volvo 175hp for speeds up to ten knots, while a cruise of eight knots will give a range up to 550 nautical miles.

Project: Holterman Xtreme-60

Dutch shipyard Holterman is adding the project for a new Xtreme-60 to its Xtreme range of flexible, multipurpose explorer yachts. Construction on the Xtreme-60 is well under way with both hull and super structure complete, and merging of the two structures currently ongoing and then moving to the Meppel shipyard to start fitting out. Design by Bernd Weel’s the Xtreme-60 features the complex shapes and hull openings to bring natural light inside associated with the Xtreme series, with the sixty being particularly influenced by the 78 which launched in earlier this year.  That is offering generous exterior spaces with a long aft deck designed to offer lounging in both shade and sun, and plenty of room for entertaining, along with wide side decks tucked behind deep safe bulwarks running forward to a stylish foredeck lounge, where a table and two banks of seating make the perfect spot for watching the sun-setting or rising, this area also joined by a large forward-facing sun-pad.  The Holterman Xtreme-60 will have an interior designed by Kitty van der Kamp who for this owner operated yacht opted for a two large suite cabins below deck, with a lounging area in between the cabins, and a living with aft galley on the main deck.  The Holterman X-treme 60 is to be powered by twin Volvo 300hp with line shaft propulsion for a top speed of up to twelve knots, and a cruise of eight knots which will deliver a range up to eleven hundred nautical miles. The Holterman Xtreme-60 is scheduled to go in the water in early 2024.

New Model: Holterman X-treme 105

Holteman X-treme 105 was one of the show stoppers for the 2022 Cannes boat show thanks mostly to its large tender storage system on the aft deck, able to accommodate a tender up to eleven meters in length.  Surely a record for a yacht measuring just over thirty meters!  But the records do not stop here, as remove the tender, and then you have an area, which drops down in the water, and fills a twelve squared meters swimming pool making this aft deck an exquisite unique entrainment lounging area. If you think this is over, it  is not!  The X-treme 105 designed by Bernard Weel for exterior and Diana as naval architect is not only about this, with the innovative looking tug from the future inspired super yacht which breaks some yacht design convenience rules, and thanks to this winning two awards by the end of 2022.  The X-treme 105 for example also brings the astern galley layout, so popular in yachts sub twenty meters in a 105 feet size, and also make redundancy its virtue thanks to its double systems, which also includes twin bow and stern thrusters, and four technical; electricity, water makers, generator, battery separate rooms.  Another interesting feature of the X-treme 105 is an easy engine take away system thanks to big hatches which makes a removal job done in a few hours, compared to a day or two of some other yachts.  Beside the aft deck able to accommodate the large ten meter tender, the X-treme 105 also features a side midships located garage with space for a rib tender of three and a half meters, and two jet bikes. That would be another record for tenders stowed in a yacht of 32 meters.  The Holterman X-treme 105 is an impressive machine in both its innovative and technical elements, with the markets noticing this and seven other X-treme units from sixteen to 32 meters being in build.
