Fountain Pajot present a new entry level model to its Motor Yachts range, with MY4.S project allowing a greater number of motor catamaran enthusiasts to become owners of the known French cat brand. Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts is the only brand to offer Motor Yachts of this size, in this category of multihulls and a size of just eleven meters. For the to go further in the pleasure of living on board, Fountaine Pajot have with the help of designers Daniel Andrieu and Pierangelo Andreani redesigned the interior and exterior spaces, optimized storage, revised the aft cockpit with a sunbathing area and a dining area, such as the living room, redesigned the kitchen area, all this in favour of an incredible space saving. The MY4.S presents itself with elegant lines, and a hard top with  a sunroof opening.  The Fountaine Pajot MY4.S is to be powered by standard twin Yanmar 150hp engines, and or optional twin 250hp units.  Estimated range will be an impressive up to one thousand nautical miles.

New Model: Fountaine Pajot Power 67

Fountaine Pajot elevates luxury and makes sailing at sea a  refined experience, with its new Power flagship model the 67.  Designed for long-distance getaways, beautiful cruises or simply for the pleasure of welcoming guests, the Power 67 comes powered by standard twin 300hp engines, delivering a range of 1700 nautical miles, thanks to its hull design and 4000 litres of fuel on board.  The Power 67 with its elegant and innovative design, offers a state-of-the-art living environment. With its rounded, asymmetrical lines, this luxury power catamaran catches the eye and conveys a sense of intrepid power. Its volumes impress by the ingenuity of the layout and the volume.  Centre stage is the cosy atmosphere of its cockpit adjoining the lounge and its various sunbathing areas, its kitchen equipped with a griddle and its huge reception area. Other notable areas are the flybridge and the optional jacuzzi in the front lounge.  The Power 67 is available in two galley versions: in the passageway or built into the saloon.  Below is also two versions with the owner’s version, offering a private apartment style layout, equipped with a large dressing room and an Italian-style bathroom with two finely designed washbasins.

Project: Fountaine Pajot Power 67

Fountaine Pajot present the project for a new 67 feet Power range flagship.  Designed by Berret-Racoupeau the Fountaine Pajot Power 67 is all about offering endless space, and a long cruiser ability.  The Fountaine Pajot Power 67 is also about choices, with two main deck options, and four lower deck options.  The lower deck options are vast and go from a standard four cabin layouts, to a galley down option, and a five cabins layout.  There is also the choice in all layouts to include two other crew cabins in the forward part of each hull. The owners cabin is located to starboard hull and takes a huge chuck of the size of this hull.  The Fountaine Pajot Power 67 will be powered by twin 435hp diesel engines, and will have a range of up to 1700 nautical miles, with four thousand liters of fuel capacity.

Project: Fountaine Pajot MY 40

Following the great success of the MY 44, Fountaine Pajot presents the project for a MY 40.  For this new project Fountaine Pajot decided to keep up the winning collaboration of the MY 44 with design duties handled to Pierangelo Andreani and hull naval architecture to Daniel Andrieu.  The MY 40 strengthens the Fountaine Pajot motor yachts range, third model in the line up and keeps all the MY 44 assets, multi-awarded this year by the European and international press.  The MY 40 will offer a three cabin interior with a very spacious owners cabins to port side.  The Fountaine Pajot MY 40 will be standard powered by twin Volvo 370hp engines with IPS pod propulsion.

Fountain Pajot New Web Site

French catamaran builder Fountaine Pajot presents its new world wide web site. This French boat builder who since its early years concentrated its production on catamarans first of sail and later on in 1998 to fuel engines powered models was founded in 1976, on the coast of La Rochelle by the Olympic competitor Jean-Francois Fountaine . The first Fountaine Pajot was a 505 dinghy with four persons doing the job. Two years pass and a new yard is purchased in Aigrefeuille, and two further dinghy models are introduced the 420, and 470. In 1980 Fountaine Pajot alters course and builds the first prototype half toner IOR Racer which will become World Champion, and take the Figaro solo race establishing an important name in Ocean racing. But it will be 1981 which marks an important turn around for Fountaine Pajot when it builds its first multi hull yacht with the 18 meter racing trimaran the Royal which was entirely built in foam core sandwich for Lois Caradec, and Philippe Facque. This is followed in 1983 with the first production built catamaran also in foam core sandwich construction and a design to Joubert and Nivelt, the 37 Louisiane which will go on to sell 55 units. After the first production model is launched more will follow with the second model the 26 Corneel designed by Eric Bruneel taking Boat of the Year by Bateaux Magazine. Another important step occurs in 1990 with Fountaine Pajot recruiting architect Olivier Flahault, who still as today designs most of Fountaine Pajot models. 1998 marks the first engine only Trawler Catamarans range first with the 37 Maryland sold in 78 units, and then followed by the 34 Greenland in 2000. Fountaine Pajot continues to advance in technology and standards and in 1999 it gets ISO9002 version 1994 certification, which is followed by its first infusion constructed 40 Lavezzi model in 2002. Todays Fountaine Pajot offers a total of ten models in two ranges starting from the power 37 Catamaran Motor Yacht, to the still in project 67 from the sailing range.  Fountaine Pajot largest ever built is the 80 Taiti. Foutaine Pajot presents its latest release the MY 44 a luxury power catamaran featuring matchless spaces for a thirteen meter.  The new Fountaine Pajot 44 MY was designed by Daniel Andrieu hull and naval architecture, with exterior and lines coming by Pierangelo Andreani.  The 44 MY boasts stylish lines and unique living spaces offering an incredible amount of light thanks to the large glazing on the hull.  This new power catamaran has comfortable relaxation and reception spaces worthy of a second home. The enormous flybridge is designed with a sunbathing lounge, a galley and a real terrace or pool overlooking the sea. Inside a saloon, a large open area with a terrace, spacious lounge and galley open directly onto the cockpit, connecting inside with outside.  The lower deck features three cabins which present themselves with two magnificent rooms starboard for your guests and VIPs and the owners room to port side. Each of the rooms has a sea view and an ensuite bathroom, to which an additional private forward cabin can be added on option.  The Foutaine Pajot MY 44 has been studied to deliver excellent seaworthiness and is equipped with standard Volvo 260hp diesel engines with IPS pod drive propulsion.  Engine options can go up to twin Volvo 435hp units.

Project: Fountaine Pajot 37 MY

Fountaine Pajot announces a project in its Motor Yachts range. Drawing on the success of its three other motor yachts, the Summerland MY 40 LC, the Cumberland MY 47 LC and the Queensland MY 55, the French shipyard is launching a new entry-level model : the MY 37. Designed by Daniel Andrieu Fountain Pajot aims to expand its innovative motor yacht range of demanding international clients who appreciate the exceptional quality and characteristics of its designs. An incredible yacht with a contemporary design, the Fountaine Pajot MY 37 will offer more thanks to a hull shape specially designed for perfect seaworthiness and exceptional stability, assuring comfort and safety. With its spacious flybridge and sun deck, a cockpit leading directly onto the saloon, the MY 37 brings you all the many pleasures of the sea, both in navigation and at mooring. The incredibly bright and airy saloon opens onto the cockpit and incorporates a contemporary kitchen, a dining room area and a wheelhouse. The 37 MY will be available in two different versions; Maestro, and Quator.  The Maestro will offer a  a stunning owner’s cabin equipped with a private bathroom and generous storage compartments. On starboard, guests enjoy two cabins and a private bathroom. The Quator version is a more charter friendly layout offering a four cabins and two bathrooms plan incorporated across both hulls. New Model: Fountaine Pajot 55 Queensland

Fountaine Pajot launches the 55 Queensland, brand new flagship of its Trawler Catamaran fleet now featuring four distinctive models from 35 up to 55 feet. Designed by Andrieu and Coste the new 55 Queensland wants to be a true cruising apartment making advantage of its beam to offer a spacious unheard of in sixteen meters of length interior space of four double cabins all with personal showers and head. The cabins have also two separate entrances for the port and starboard lower deck hulls. A further optional crew cabin is available to the fore bow peak. The main deck is also comfortable and airy here taking advantage more of the seven metres beam, offering a dining table for eight, a relaxing sofa, and C-shaped galley. The flybridge is distinctively spacious and offers a free aft area which can be equipped with relaxing chaise lounges, or a another tender. Power is from twin Volvo standard 435hp, or optional 670hp this later choice increasing speed by four digits to a max of 24 knots. Range is 1200 nautical miles at nine knots with the standard engines, or 1000 NM with the big engine choice at the same economic cruise.

New Model: Fountaine Pajot 40 Summerland

French Catamaran specialist Fountaine Pajot presents the 40 Summerland, its third power model to go into production. Designed for cruising by Joubert-Nivelt also the designers for the previous two power catamaran models to come from the French builder, the new 40 Summerland offers great comfort in terms of navigation and life on board, featuring open spaces, a sheltered cockpit, and direct safe access areas which make for easy relaxing trips. The flybridge of the 40 Summerland offers a full relaxation area equipped with a sundeck, wide seats and helm station to starboard. Entrance to the interior is through a patio door, here all being flush level with the exterior, making for easy communications with the aft deck outside, and the inside living area. The saloon in the 40 Summerland has well defined areas where you will find the light and comfort of bigger boats, and features a dinette to port which can accommodate six persons, a fully fitted galley opposite to starboard, and the central located main lower helm station. Privacy is a key element for the lower deck of the new medium sized power catamaran Fountaine Pajot. The owners suite located to starboard has a fully independent entrance with its double berth positioned to the beam, a beauty desk, and a private shower head. To port side are two separate guest cabins which share a shower head located in between. The two cabins are a twin single to fore, and a double VIP to mid ship. Standard power for the 40 Summerland is twin Volvo D3 150hp engines, with a higher rated D6 260hp available as optionals. The standard engines give a top speed of 18 knots and a cruise of 13 knots. Fountaine Pajot has also some super numbers for its new medium sized Power Catamaran, which at its best economic 7 knots cruise consumes only 10.6 litres per hour and totals 1000 nautical miles on a tank.

Projects: Fountaine Pajot 55 Queensland, Fountaine Pajot 40 Summerland

Fountaine Pajot presents 2 project models set to increase its Power Catamaran range in size and in offer. The first of these is the new flagship 55 Queensland, build on the experience gained with the 46 Cumberland, current biggest model. The 55 Queensland includes everything you could think in a boat of much bigger dimensions most of all as any catamaran is the immense salon combining lounge, dining room, galley and navigation room all this in a refined, luxurious atmosphere. Outside living areas continue the feeling of space with a huge flybridge combining outdoor galley, salon, sundeck, and the helm station. Fountaine Pajot also says of impeccable sea keeping for the new flagship with good waves absorption at speed, but also no rolling at beam seas or at anchor, easy manoeuvrability with dual engines, and last advises a 40% reduction in fuel consumption thanks to careful wet area study. Giving example of this are the power numbers which with twin 2 x 435hp Volvo D6 engines give a range of 1300 nautical miles at 11 knots, with this reduced to 460 nautical miles at the maximum cruising of 20 knots. If one desires more power a bigger engine option of twin 670hp D11 Volvos giving a max of 26 knots is available. 55 Queensland lower deck is a three cabin head version, with full starboard hull use for the owners cabin, and a crew cabin forward on the port side. The other project model is the 40 Summerland, which will sit in the middle of the range between the 35 and 46 models. Designed for cruising, this new project wants to offer great comfort in terms of navigation and life on board. Its open spaces free of obstacles, sheltered cockpit and direct access to the flybridge make for easy sailing. The flybridge offers a sundeck, wide seats and an outside helm. Lower deck continues the theme for an open environment with light and comfort, with a saloon offering a dining area for 8 persons, and an easy access galley. Two passageways on both sides take you to the lower decks. The starboard side has the owner cabin fitted with a bed across and view out to sea, desk, dressing table and a private bathroom. To portside, two other fine guest cabins with double beds or twin beds, a shower and storage spaces. 40 Summerland also benefits from the incredible autonomy and range of what Fountaine Pajot calls the trawler catamarans, I would say not much trawler accept for the range and a lot of catamaran for the extra space. Performance data with twin Volvo D3 160hp is an 18 knot maximum speed, and top cruising of 13,5 knots. Range is an impressive 1000 miles at 7.5 knots burning less to 11 litres per hour.
