Aft Cabin Cruiser Saved from Sinking in Black River, Michigan

Two persons were saved as a twelve meter aft cabin cruiser titled m/y Djs Enterprise was taking on water at Black River, Michigan on the afternoon of Tuesday fourth June.  The boat's skipper called 911 and reported the cruiser was taking on water and in danger of sinking, as United States Coast Guard sector Northern Great Lakes arrived to assist the two boaters, with this followed by Alcona Sheriff, who took the two boaters to safety and then transported them to Harrisville Harbour.
The boat in this accident is a Marine Trader Tradewinds 43 as produced from 1987 to 1991.  The Tradewinds 43 was a replacement to the more trawler looking Marine Trader 44 Tri Cabin, and was replaced by the 46 Double Cabin.
