Silverton Runs Aground in Coeymans Hollow

An eleven meter Silverton sport cruiser ran aground at Coeymans Hollow on the Hudson River on the morning of eleven May.  A resident of the area, the spots where difficult to see because at the time of grounding it was high tide.  Unfortunately it got worse for the Silverton cruiser as when trying to pull out in reverse it also blew one engine.  According to reports the Silverton was just launched some minutes prior and was doing sea trials.
The Silverton in this grounding is a 34 Express second version as produced from 1990 to 1994.  The Silver 34 Express second version replaced the first version, adding an integrated sloop style bathing platform aft.
