Four Adults and five children were saved from as an eight meter sport cruiser hit the Punta Serra reef, to the North West of Phlegraean island of Procida, on the afternoon of Sunday 22 September. The boat and the boaters were blocked on the reef, as the boat was stuck on the reef. Following a call for assistance, the Port Captaincy with CP 829 and Guardia Costiera GC B154, came to the spot, and first rescued the boaters, and then started an operation to recover the boat. Ultimately the operation coordinated by the Direzione Maritima di Napoli and Circomare di Ischia was a success. None of the boaters were injured and the boat was towed to a nearby marina for inspection.
The boat in this collision is a Mano Marine 26 Sport as produced in the noughties. The 26 Sport was replaced by the walk around 25_09 efb.
