A milestone redefining what steel can become at Sanlorenzo, as it present project details of the first 74Steel, just ahead of its launch in La Spezia later on this year. At 74 metres and around 1,900 Gross Tonnage of volume the new flagship becomes an instant icon of the Italian Maison, delivering the advanced technology, bespoke personalisation, and discreet grace for which Sanlorenzo yachts are renowned, but on a new and ambitious scale. Developed on a pre-engineered technical platform, the 74Steel provides innovation and uncompromising design in abundance, becoming the new flagship for the yard. It embodies Sanlorenzo’s time-honoured commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and made-to-measure yachting, enabling owners to shape their vessel into an intimately personal work of art without compromising structural integrity or engineering excellence. With three hulls sold and a fourth under negotiation before the first even touches the water, the owners of subsequent launches have curated unique interiors, customised layouts, and even different bow configurations. Although the platform is engineered to 72 meters LOA, all the current orders are of slightly different length depending on the bow shape. Moreover, the first two units have a diesel-electric propulsion system, the third has conventional in line shaft propulsion. This flexible approach ensures that each yacht can evolve with the owner’s needs, while maintaining a tried-and-tested framework. The 74Steel has exterior lines by Zuccon International Project representing a bold evolution of the design language the Rome-based studio has brought to Sanlorenzo, merging sinuous, soft forms with strength and elegance in timeless harmony. Key elements, such as the vertical bow and dynamic stern for the first unit, enhance both the yacht’s aesthetic and its functional relationship with the sea. Every line, volume, and spatial transition was crafted with the owner’s experience in mind. From the dedicated owner's deck to light-filled salons and seamless sightlines, architecture defines the way life unfolds onboard. The interior design of the first unit, by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, reflects the sculpted forms of the exterior. In particular, the furniture pieces are characterised by pronounced curves, and the design is complemented by rugs with sinuous shapes that help define spaces in a non-traditional manner. A key element of the first 74Steel is its diesel-electric system. This diesel-electric propulsion setup provides more freedom in terms of layout, making it possible to repurpose technical spaces for recreational areas. This is especially evident in the expansive beach club and spa areas, which are significantly larger than those on a conventional yacht of similar size. Engineered in-house in collaboration with Siemens Energy to maximise efficiency while ensuring reliability, the propulsion system itself relies on six variable-speed Volvo Penta Mase generators driving twin Schottel E-Pods of 1,000kW each. The hybrid setup includes water-cooled Lehmann Cobra battery systems employing inherently safe lithium iron phosphate cell technology that offer a combined 1.5 MWh capacity. In addition, the yacht’s HVAC system utilises Variable Air Volume (VAV) technology to regulate the amount of conditioned air delivered to different zones based on real-time temperature and occupancy needs, providing optimal air circulation and precise temperature control. This advanced system guarantees maximum comfort, energy efficiency, and a quiet, peaceful environment throughout the yacht. The Sun deck offers more al fresco dining with a bar/galley unit and commanding views from the highest point of the yacht. There is forward sofa seating arranged around a firepit and another hot tub flanked by sunpads, while the aft deck is devoted to sunbathing. Importantly, a transparent glass windbreak under the hardtop protects guests when the breeze picks up. At the heart of the 74Steel is the Owner’s Deck. This sanctuary of privacy and sophistication is spread over 130 square meters of interior space—and even more open-air deck space—that is devoted entirely to the owner’s needs. The suite comes with a private lounge and office; expansive walk-in wardrobe; two spa-inspired bathrooms, one with a stand-alone bathtub; and king-size bed overlooking a private forward terrace with hot tub. The aft deck is set up for secluded dining under the shade of the sundeck above. Strategic access points ensure that the owner can enjoy complete privacy, with staircases designed to prevent unwanted entry to the owner’s deck when desired. Thoughtful layouts also extend to the suite’s forward terrace, where the owner can enjoy uninterrupted views and outdoor relaxation in a space designed for both tranquillity and connection to the natural surroundings. The 56-sqm wheelhouse has been designed for maximum functionality and visibility. Equipped with an integrated bridge by Team Italia, now part of the Rolls-Royce group, it has a walk-around Portuguese bridge. The foredeck can be used as a touch-and-go helipad. In addition to the captain’s cabin, there is another suite for use by staff or a pilot. The sky lounge aft is divided into two distinct areas. The lounge proper functions primarily as a TV room with sliding glass doors on both sides. Folding glass panels can increase the footprint of this lounge to include a teak-decked interim space with direct access to the open aft deck, again through sliding glass doors, which is set up for “al fresco” dining veranda. Five ensuite guest suites—two twins, two doubles and a full-beam VIP—are located on the main deck. The VIP suite features its own living room that can be closed off from the sleeping area by sliding panels. A central corridor allows guest to walk straight from their cabins to the main saloon, which is set up both as a lounge area and as a cinema space with TV. Beyond and separated by a bar unit is a dining table able to seat up to 14 guests. Both lounge and dining areas—130 sqm in all—have sliding glass doors on both sides to increase contact with the outside environment and encourage a cooling sea breeze. Continuing aft, a double staircase provides direct access to the gym and spa on the lower deck. The open aft deck is dominated by a large glass-bottomed pool that illuminates the beach club below. The lower deck houses a pro-spec galley with a spacious crew dinette opposite. In the forward section are 11 crew cabins (the captain’s cabin is on the bridge deck) and a 12th cabin that can double as a hospital berth. Crucially, there are two dedicated crew stairs between the lower deck and the bridge deck, ensuring smooth, efficient and discreet service. Two tender garages amidships house a 10-metre Pascoe limo tender and the crew tender as well as a range water toys. The garages can be accessed from both the crew quarters and the engine room. A major feature of the 74Steel is its expansive beach club and wellness area, thanks to the more flexible layout options offered by the diesel-electric drive. The wellness area features a gym with fold-down platform, massage room, sauna, hammam plunge pool, and even a family room for younger guests. A transom door that cleverly folds flush into the swim platform and fold-down bulwarks allow the beach club to grow even larger when needed: a massive walk-around, exterior space when everything is deployed. The customisation options for this area are designed to cater to the owner’s personal tastes, whether that means more relaxation or entertainment areas. The tank deck is devoted to storage, crew accommodation and services. This includes cold/freezer room, dry stores, refrigerated garbage room, wine cellar, as well as a crew relaxation area and a crew gym—a specific request of the owner. The tank deck can be customised to provide more storage or additional crew areas, depending on what each owner requires. The first hull, for example, even has an area for hydroponic cultivation so the yacht can grow its own fresh vegetables. This soil-less method of growing plants uses mineral nutrient solutions to deliver water, nutrients, and oxygen directly to the plant roots. At around 1,900 gross tons, the 74Steel sits at the upper limit of Sanlorenzo’s size range. This is driven by a mix of strategic considerations and production capacity. By limiting its focus to yachts below 2,000GT, Sanlorenzo avoids the risks associated with building "gigayachts”, which become increasingly difficult to manage in terms of both market appeal and production complexity. 74Steel is more than a flagship, it is a landmark in Sanlorenzo’s evolution. With its blend of architectural purity, advanced technology, and unprecedented personalisation, it reflects not only where Sanlorenzo stands today, but where it is going. From steel to sustainability, from scale to soul, the 74Steel embodies a future in which innovation and elegance remain inseparable.

New Model: Extra Yachts X90 Fast
Extra Yachts announces the launch of the first unit of the X90 Fast. A 28-meter super sport yacht as designed by Hot Lab studio for both exterior and interior, and built in CE class standard and entirely in fiberglass. Following its launch in mid July the first X90 Fast made its debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival. The new X90 Fast replaces the X86 sold in two units, and stands out for its unmistakable lines. The subdued design of the windows concealed in the hull, allows for the linear silhouette of the profile to be maintained and for natural light to flood the interior. Indeed, we find a spacious living room, separated from the stern cockpit by the typical galley with up/down windows, which not only provides a partition between the two spaces, but also functions as a transit and distribution area. From the galley the crew can reach both their quarters, located forward of the engine room, and the sun deck. All this to leave the fore lounge and the wheelhouse, with smoked glass closure free from crew transit and, if necessary, to the exclusive use of guests. The outdoor areas constitute the true strong point, relying on 86 squared meters of volume. The cockpit develops on three levels: an eight to ten seater dining table, living area with C-shaped sofa and sunbathing spot and finally, at water surface, the bathing section. Below deck, there are four double guest cabins served by private bathrooms, with a master cabin amidships taking advantage of the over seven metre maximum beam. A crew of four people finds accommodation in two cabins with private bathrooms. The first Extra Yachts X90 Fast was powered by triple Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod drives propulsion for top speeds up to thirty knots, a fast cruise of 24, with a twelve knots giving a one thousand nautical miles.

Project: Azimut Magellano 27M
Azimut present the Magellano 27M project. The 27M marks the start of the third generation of the Magellano Series emerging under the vision of Finish designer Jarkko Jämsén for the exteriors and AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi for the interiors, who make their yachting debut with an unprecedented architectural loggia overlooking the sea. For the Magellano 27M exterior designer Jarkko Jämsén built the concept around a radical idea for a yacht living in-situ artwork, conceived not to dominate nature but to exist through it, her beauty revealed only in dialogue with the elements. Jamsen strips away the unnecessary and reveals the bare shape, with the Magellano 27M as a mirror where sea, sky, and light endlessly compose her surfaces. Jämsén’s architecture dances between engineering and fluidity, just as the industrial line, the loop traces its dance along the yacht’s profile, expressing a dual nature. On one side, precise engineering: the straight line of the corner, the industrial feel of the fillets, the calibrated dimensions that speak of technical mastery and high precision. On the other, fluidity and reflection: the surfaces surrounding the loop are deliberately pure and cleaned of excess, allowing complex curvatures to capture light and multiply the play of sea and sky. This tension between engineered clarity and sculptural softness creates a unique identity for the Magellano 27M: a yacht that is instantly recognizable, rigorously built, yet alive with natural beauty. Designed by AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi the interiors of the Magellano 27M are rooted in a human truth: since the dawn of humankind, we have moved across lands and seas to discover, to connect, and to shape our future. The Magellano 27M honours this impulse, making the journey itself a place of meaning, identity, and self-discovery. At the heart of the project lies the main deck, conceived as a vast loggia over the sea: a space deeply glazed, immersed in light, and articulated by wooden architectural elements that evoke Mediterranean pergolas and patios. The result is an environment suspended between inside and out, a place where the landscape becomes part of daily life, and where design does not divide but filters, accompanies, and protects in continuity with nature. Natural light is treated as a material in its own right. It enters with intensity, as it does on the open sea, yet is softened and warmed by the extensive use of light wood that lines walls, ceilings, and furnishings. The outcome is a luminous and intimate setting, enveloping, where light vibrates and guides the gaze. Metal and wooden details complete the project with a sophisticated accent, where nature’s essence meets contemporary precision in an architecture of elegance, depth, and soul that resonates with Jämsén’s vision, where solidity melts into movement and rigor flows into grace. The Magellano 27M is to be powered by twin Man 1400hp or optional 1650hp, for top speeds up to 21 knots with the standard engines, and 24 with the large option.

New Model: Riva 58 Capri
During the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival Riva debuted its new 58 Capri model. Based on the 56 Rivale platform the 58 Capri main difference is a hard-top, with this new sport yacht offering identical cockpit deck and lower deck layouts. The 56 Rivale arrived in 2017 as a replacement to the previous twelve years produced Rivale 52 adding space thanks to more length and beam and with this also a full beam owners stateroom. In 2021 Riva also offered an open hard-T-Top option to the 56 Rivale. Now Riva adds this new 58 Capri variant, to its seventeen meter size sport yacht series, which has proved a success in the last eight years. Could Riva had done something more, with the 58 Capri then just add a hard-top? Probably yes, and considering the change in designation from 56 to 58 with size staying the same, they definitely should have added for example an up and down bathing platform.

Fairline Yacht Ends Aground in Yalikavak, Bodrum Turkey
A 23 meter Fairline yacht titled Alan under British flag ended aground during a sudden storm in Yalikavak, Bodrum, Turkey at around noon of Wednesday 22 October. The Fairline yacht was anchored in the middle of the bay when a sudden thunder storm with heavy rain and strong winds drifted it into low water and aground. The yacht captain and crew tried to avoid the grounding but to no avail, as the wind had at that stage taken control of the yacht. With the sudden storm stopping some one hour later a rescue operation with a diver and towing boat was already underway. No one was reported injured in the grounding, with the damage to the yacht not being reported.
The Fairline in this grounding is a Squadron 78 Custom, as designed by Bernard Olesinski and produced from 2008 till 2018 in 86 units. The largest Fairline ever made, the Squadron 78 Custom was a replacement and evolution of the Squadron 74.
Project: Princess F54
Princess Yachts announces the details of the F54 project, set to arrive in early 2027 and debut in January of that year at the Dusseldorf boat show. The Princess F54 is a replacement to the since 2019 produced F50, which in itself was an evolution of the 49 and received an update with larger hull windows in 2022. The F54 will bring a striking profile, similar to the new Princess F58, and is a completely redesigned yacht compared to the F50. For a difference she is also to be line shaft powered unlike the IPS pods of the outgoing model. The transom will be the most innovative part of the F54, with a new walkaround transom design and a versatile aft-facing seating arrangement with movable backrest elevate the social experience at the water’s edge. For the foredeck, Princess decided to go for a traditional sun-pad layout with adjustable headrests, but with a forward-facing seating and the option of a removable teak cockpit table at fore-peak. The expansive flybridge features companion seating with a sun-pad conversion, a dining area with folding teak table, an aft storage unit with optional wet bar-grill, and a fully equipped helm station. For added comfort, an optional hardtop roof is available. The main deck offers an aft galley layout and follows the F58 for having a separate dinette in this size range and smaller dimensions to its sister. A multi-positional backrest converts the cockpit’s U-shaped seating into either an aft-facing sofa or sunbed. Below deck, the F54 accommodates three guest cabins, including a full-beam owner’s stateroom with en-suite, a forward double, and an improved twin cabin with optional double conversion. An optional aft crew cabin can be fitted with a single berth, toilet, and storage. Additional options include a washer/dryer installation and extended fuel tanks for longer-range cruising. The Princess F54 is to be powered by twin Volvo 725hp as standard, or optional 900hp for top speeds up to 34 knots.

New Model: Riviera 4300 Sports Express
Riviera has at the 2025 Sanctuary Cove boat show debuted its new 4300 Sport Express. The 4300 Sports Express is in concept your usual sport cruiser, but brings a lot of innovative features which you find once you step onboard, from its I am bigger then I look walk-round deck and side-door to port side, and foredeck settee. These are features which as far as I know do not exist much in sports cruiser of this size. Another feature of the Riviera 4300 Sports Express is the very cosy hard-top covered main deck, offering the feel of an enclosed sport cruiser even though it is fully open. Probably the sport cruiser which comes closer to this is the Fairline Targa 45 GTO, altough it's aft sun-pad with underneath garage shows its Mediterranean vocation. This exterior aft main deck offers two opposite L-shaped settees, an L-shaped wet-bar to port, and dual seat helm station to starboard. Down below is two cabin sleep five, served by a single spacious with a master room double berth forward, and a double plus single midships cabin. In between the cabins is an L-shaped saloon with opposite L-shaped galley to starboard. The Riviera 4300 Sports Express is powered by standard Volvo 440hp or optional 480hp with IPS pod drives. The 4300 Sports Express is sport cruiser re-invented, with an Australian down under twist, but also features which are usually found in larger yachts.
Technical Data:
LOA - 13.88 m (45.6ft)

In the 50 Fly Cruisers offer interiors with an astern galley layout, and a three cabin lower deck; master stateroom at midships, VIP forward, and third bunk berths cabin. The 50 Fly features a spacious hard-top covered flybridge, while two other lounging areas, to fore deck, and aft complete the exterior deck entertaining zones. It is not understood if the 50 Fly will feature drop-down bulkheads as the 57 Fly, although the current renderings and plans do not show any. The Cruisers 50 Fly is to be powered by twin Volvo 600hp with IPS pod drives.

Mangusta Super Yacht Sinks in Marina at Gumbet, Bodrum
The 32 meter Mangusta super sport yacht Mina II sank in a marina at Mu Dünla in the province of Gumbet, Bodrum, Turkey on the night of Saturday eighteen October. The yacht was moored in a berth at the marina, were for an unknown reason it sank stern first. Coast guard and municipal teams were dispatched to the marina after port personnel alerted them of the yacht sinking. No crew was onboard and reports say the yacht has not moved from this berth for the last two years. Environmental inspectors are investigating the area for any fuel leaks, with the yacht protected by pollution protecting boons. A recovery for the yacht is being organized.
M/y Mina II is a 1998 Overmarine Mangusta 107 first series as designed by Stefano Righini and produced from 1998 to 2002 in four units. Mina II was the first hull of the Mangusta 107 and was refitted in 2017, with interiors by Gianni Versace and exteriors remade with new glazing and hard-top like the second series 107 as build from 2003 to 2005 in three other units.
