Project: Baglietto Fast50

Baglietto has announced two new projects of fifty meters in a press conference in Milan on eight February celebrating the 170th anniversary of the historical yacht builder. Two new projects of the same fifty meters dimensions  both designed by Baglietto's long standing designer Francesco Paszowksi but with totally different souls. The Fast50, follows the X50 presented a couple of weeks ago here on PowerYacht, what is a high performing yacht representing the core history of the brand, from the seventies till today, and the glorious speed record beating ventures of Pietro of the early twentieth century.  Speed has been part of Baglietto for beyond a century.  The Bagletto Fast50 is a semi-wide body design, and for the first time in the Fast line, it brings a water's edge beach club aft, with an opening stern to aft which expands the dimensions of the area at anchor.  Baglietto is being very tight lipped on the Fast50 performance and layout, but expect speeds of thirty knots which is what the Fast line usually offers.  The first Baglietto Fast50 is set to launch in 2026.

Project: Ferretti InFynito 80

Ferretti expand the InFynito range presenting the second 80 model project of the line up, following the InFynito 90 which in the second half of 2023. Set to debut in the fall of this year the InFynito 80 builds on the range’s typical characteristics: environmental friendliness, unprecedented flexibility and innovative layouts, as magnificently embodied in the iconic All-Season Terrace. Other strengths include the yacht’s versatility, with a sundeck that can be open or semi-closed, and the sheer size, above average for the segment, of the exterior surface area covered and protected by the hard top or superstructure. Built at the recently purchased new Marina di Ravenna shipyard, Ferretti Yachts’ InFynito 80 is the result of collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee chaired by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, with exterior design by Filippo Salvetti and interiors by design firm Ideaeitalia. InFynito 80 willl have an overall length of over 23 meters, and a maximum beam of six meters plus and is designed to offer lovers of the sea a new and gratifying experience in highly customisable spaces where interiors and exteriors blend into one another. Ferretti's new InFynito 80 also features the Group’s F.S.E.A. technology, a package of environmentally friendly cruising solutions. They include an integrated system that stores the solar energy collected by the photovoltaic panels installed on the hard top in an Energy Bank, which consists of fourteen high-density lithium batteries that deliver more energy at the same time as guaranteeing a favourable weight-power ratio. The battery pack is in the engine room, in watertight steel containers fitted with temperature monitoring sensors. There was also a special focus on the use of green materials, such as natural and bamboo fabrics, regenerated leather and recyclable materials, ecological water-based paints and lamellar teak with FSC 5 certification, used throughout the exteriors. An overview of the various decks highlights the main deck astern, with a generous eighteen square metres dedicated to a beach area that features a sea-view couch incorporating a generous storage unit. There is also a stern platform with a linear lift for launching and hauling up the tender. The nineteen squared meters cockpit has a living area with free-standing furniture for greater flexibility in terms of layout and use. In the 29 squared meters interior saloon, the dining room of the standard version can be replaced by a show kitchen with a bar counter and stools. The yacht’s main galley is at the forward end of the main deck, with an electrically operated sliding glass door providing direct access to the All-Season Terrace. The hallmark of the range is its iconic covered terrace, sheltered by an extension to the superstructure for protection in all weather conditions and total privacy. On INFynito 80, the thirteen squared meters terrace can be configured as a dinette, with seating and an extending table, or as a bar counter. The raised helm station provides excellent visibility and is accessed by a staircase in the centre of the main deck. The upper deck, which is closed on bigger 90 sister, will be a totally open sundeck in the standard version, and a semi-closed one with glass panels as an option on this InFynito 80. The hard top provides shade for the entire dining area and foredeck. The stern section of the upper deck is a sunbathing area with free-standing furniture and an outdoor galley. The 43 squared meters lower deck has a master stateroom at the midships, a VIP suite forward, and two guest cabins. The crew quarters contain two cabins sleeping a total of three people. Ferertti InFynito 80 is to be powered by twin Man 1200hp or optional 1400hp engines for speeds up to 23 knots and a cruise of eighteen, and a range of up to one thousand nautical miles at twelve knots.

Project: Prestige F5

During the Beneteau Group press conference at the 2024 Dusseldorf boat show, Prestige vice President Erwin Bumps announced the project for an upcoming F5 model.  Very few details have been given apart the above rendering and that the F5 is set to debut during the Cannes 2024 boat show, although expect the model to show up during the Beneteau Group test days in early Summer usually held in around mid July.  Since we have no details I can speculate a bit about the F5, and if this project follows the pattern of the F4 which is based on the Prestige 520, then I would imagine this to be based on the 590 model.  As is the case of the F4, the F5 will benefit from an important re-design and re-engineering of spaces to increase volume as possible, in its sixteen to seventeen meter length.

Project: Domina RS 13.30 m

Domina Yachts from Rome Italy, present the RS project, a thirteen meter fast sport cruiser as designed by Marco Seri, and a tribute from the yard owners to the passion they have for fast boats and yachts.  While for many Domina Yachts is a new name, this is actually the brand as used by Cantieri Navali del Tevere also known with the abbreviated CNT, who was founded in 1964, and entered boat building in 2005 with Mustang Marine and a fast 38 model.  In 2022 the Tiber River boat yard rebranded its new boat building brand as Domina Yachts debuting with the 42 Walkaround.  The RS is the second Domina model and offers a mix of an American muscle power boat and the typical Italian open fast yacht of the Tyrrhenian sea.  For this for example the sun-pad takes the whole beam with no passageway to the sides or in the middle, with a forward facing settee forward, and two bolster seats to port for helm-station, and starboard for co-pilot.  Down below the Domina RS offers sleeping accommodation for four, with an open plan dinette V-berth forward, a separate cabin with double berth to starboard midships, and a shower head to port-side.  The Domina RS can be powered by twin diesel engines with surface drives, and or quadruple Mercury 450 or 500hp petrol gas outboards.  Performance numbers are not communicated but the Domina Yachts should have a sixty knots top speed, considering that she weighs under nine tons unloaded and without engines.

Forward on the main deck, we find the infinity pool connected to the owner cabin via a lit up path with great scenic impact. The owner cabin is a true glasshouse, where the most unobtrusive uprights give centre stage to the opening floor-to-ceiling windows enhancing the sense of continuity between indoors and out. The outdoor furnishing is organic, characterized by round shapes and very modern curves combined with warm wood for a glamorous yet high-quality elegance. The equipped gym is located on the starboard side of the upper deck, which is the bridge where also the wheelhouse and the captain cabin are set. On the main deck, ISA GT 80 features 5 double cabins, including a VIP with lounge. Project: Swan Arrow 23.20 m

Swan's motor yacht division was launched in 2021 after a careful study of the market. Leonardo Ferragamo, Chairman of Nautor Group, had been thinking of entering Swan in the power segment for a long time, but he wanted to dĂ©but with a product able to make a difference, in an already crowded segment.  Ferragamo already entered the motor boating sector with the Camper and Nicholson brand which he bought in 2001 and launched two Ray Hunt designed traditional looking down-East inspired line producing two models a 42 in 2004 and a 50 footer in 2013, with three other projects which went up to a 42 meter super yacht.  The first Swan powerboat was the Shadow which arrived in 2021, followed by the inboard OverShadow 42 in mid 2023. The passion for this adventure, together with the market request have asked for a bigger motorboat leading us to this Swan Arrow project, a 23 meters sport yacht, designed according to the Swan iconic DNA.  Swan Arrow is a sporty and elegant yacht, designed by Jarkko JamsĂ©n, the motor division resident designer, who also penned the two smaller models. With elegant and contemporary design, refined lines and voluminous interior, Swan Arrow is a sport “open” yacht well suited to extended cruising.  To be build in resin infusion with a mix of glass and carbon fibre matrixes the Swan Arrow is a full walk around design, with a fully enclosed hard-top and a spacious walkaround deck plan. The protected cockpit characterized by an opening roof and sliding and pivoting glass door system allows a full panoramic view and an “al fresco” feeling when opened, while remaining cosy, protected and private when closed, perfectly conceived for a yacht designed to enjoy the very best while cruising and at anchor.  Another innovation of the Swan Arrow is the opening platform which becomes a beach area of about fifty squared meters, not floating directly on the water but taken to a higher level thanks to the use of the side openings, altogether creating a real terrace on the sea.  The interior of Swan Arrow displays all the typical details that made Swan yachts iconic, but also introduces new elements and materials.  The space has been maximized offering a “home like” feeling for this 23 meters sport yacht conceived with a two configuration choices of two or three guest cabins.  In the three double cabins layout Arrow accommodates six guests in a captivating space: port side is a dedicated galley, midships full beam master stateroom with a walk-in closet and en-suite; a VIP suite forward, and a twin cabin, both with their own head to create separate and private areas.  The crew quarters for two people is further forward, allowing great privacy for the owners and their guests.  The alternative layout offers two spacious double cabins with a lounge area amidships in between the owners stateroom and forward VIP suite, with a starboard side  saloon with a dedicated dining area and L-shaped sofa taking the spot of the third cabin.  The Swan Arrow is to be powered by standard twin Volvo 1000hp with IPS pod drives for a speed up to thirty knots, with an optional triple set up of the same engine and propulsion which should add an extra ten knots of top speed.

Project: Alia Yachts 43m raised pilothouse

Alia Yachts in Turkey has started construction of a new 43-metre project with aggressive exterior lines by long-term design partners Omega Architects. In build for a client based in Miami, the design is styled around the relaxed, open-air lifestyle in Florida and the Bahamas. Omega has deliberately kept the profile low-rise and sleek with a menacing pelican-beak bow, helped by the raised pilothouse layout spread over two-and-a-half decks. With ample al fresco areas that include lounging and sunbathing on the aft deck, the foredeck, and the sundeck that also has a hottub, the new design takes the raised pilothouse configuration and stretches it to 42 metres and 380GT. The all-aluminium vessel has a shallow Bahamas draft and a Fast Displacement Hull Form known as FDHF by Van Oossanen, another of Alia’s Dutch design partners. The FDHF outperforms conventional displacement and semi-displacement hull forms at low, cruising and maximum speeds by providing high efficiency throughout the power curve. The interior comprises four guest suites on the lower deck, a master stateroom with walk-in wardrobe on the main deck forward. The lower deck further houses space for 7 crew as well as a very nice sized gym and side-loading tender garage. Sliding glass doors on both sides of the main saloon means there’s always a fresh breeze flowing through the interior. The interior design is by newcomers Yodezeen, a pair of designers from Kyiv with a studio in Miami. Powered by twin MTU 2600hp main engines, the yacht with have a top speed in excess of 22 knots and a range of 3,200 nautical miles at twelve knots. Project: Antonini Seamore 33

Antonini Navi announces the sale for the semi-custom 33 metre Seamore.  A new superyacht chosen by an Italian owner, with a planned launch for early 2025, and then to be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival in the fall of that year.  Seamore 33 is the first of a semi-custom series built in steel and aluminium.  With this new order, the La Spezia-based shipyard, founded in 2020 by Gruppo Antonini in partnership with Aldo Manna, sets a wider-ranging project in motion that will see Antonini Navi build and market this model, with its original, trendy styling, as a series-produced but highly customisable product.  Gruppo Antonini and Antonini Navi’s know-how in steel and aluminium metalwork will make it possible, starting from the same platform to modify the superstructure and sections of the hull, thanks in part to the intrinsic characteristics of the metal.  The project will be developed by the shipyard’s Technical Office together with Hydro Tec on exterior line design, naval architecture and engineering, while Hot Lab will handle interior designs.  The hull profile features a high, dominant bow that gives the design a sleek and sporty feel, while the volumes of the superstructure contribute to an elegant, maritime look.  The concept involves areas designed to be totally versatile and flexible, giving priority to open spaces that create unique settings for sharing and conviviality among guests. One of the most interesting features of Seamore 33 is the more than 150-square-metre open-air living space on the main deck, much of which can be closed off if needed by sliding pocket windows fitted flush with the deck.  Starting from the stern platform and extending for over 18 metres towards the bow, the unit offers a unique perception of the yacht’s seamless spaces and volumes. This huge outdoor area is joined by a further 160 square metres of al fresco space on the upper deck, of which 50 are shaded by an elegant hard-top.  The interiors stand out for their unique design, featuring a perfect balance between classic elegance and modern innovation, where strong, noble teak wood plays a key role paired with delicate pastel colours that tend towards shades of sage green, creating an atmosphere of calm and harmony with the sea.  These successes consolidate Antonini Navi as a niche brand in the construction of luxury custom super yachts
