Prestige New Web Site

A new website for French motor yacht and cruiser builder Prestige. The new websites continues what was started in 2009 with the re-branding of Prestige distinct from the Jeanneau name, but still a solid part of the Beneteau Group motor boating offer. Presented in 2001, as Jeanneau premier motor boat range with the help of designer Garroni, Prestige became rather fast in that time a market leader in medium sized boats, selling five hundred units plus of the 34 S model from the Express Line in 2008. This model stopped in production in 2009 is still Prestige best seller. Today Prestige continues its partnership with designer Garroni and builds a range of fifteen models in a three range offer; Coupe Line, Flybridge Line, and Yachts Division. The entry model is the 420 S of the Coupe Line, with the flagship being the 750 from Yacht Division launched in 2014. The new web site from Prestige is available in most international languages and takes you around with the following buttons; The Brand, Our Yachts, News, Services, and Contact.  Prestige is also on social media with bottom page links taking you to its Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest, Linkedin, and Instagram pages.

New Model: Prestige 520 Flybridge

Prestige new 520 Flybridge is a direct inheritor of its predecessor, and the model it replaces the 500 and thanks to a vast offer of multiple choices to the customer will seem as a big headache to most of the competition with one important Achilles-heel.  From a hard-top option covering the flybridge, to a choice of stern sun-pad layout or L-shaped settee in the aft deck, and a tender garage or crew cabin choice, choices is the word of the new Prestige 520 Flybridge.  A three cabin motor yacht, the Prestige 520 also offers one of the most impressive full beam owners stateroom in this size which also features it own independent entrance.  The living of the Prestige 520 all located on the main deck presents itself with an astern galley layout, and dinette converting saloon forward.  The Achilles-heel of the Prestige 520?  It is probably its speed of only 26 knots delivered from the only twin Volvo 435hp engines with IPS pod propulsion set up available.

New Model: Prestige 460 Flybridge

Prestige continue to evolve and hereby launch for 2017 the 460 model, an evolution and replacement of the successful 450.  For the exterior Garroni present the new 460 with similar but evolving signature style that has characterized Prestige in the last years, with an expanded, continuous line of windows in the hull being a recognizable difference to the 450. The flybridge integrates the concept of the L-shaped settee, which allows for maximum use of space, and can transform into a large  sundeck.  A new added solution in the Prestige 460 is the exterior galley located to the aft and onto the bathing platform.  The interior layout is redesigned in the main deck now having a galley looking to the side, with the lower deck offering similar two spacious en-suited cabins but loosing the separate entrance it featured for the owners stateroom to midships.  The Prestige 460 is Volvo powered with standard 370hp or optional 435hp engines with IPS pod propulsion.

New Model: Prestige 560 Flybridge

Prestige continue its market share growth thanks to a quality price value product which has been giving positive market feedback in its order books. Now Prestige the French builder part of the Beneteau Group challenges itself to renew one of its best successes, the 550 model which has sold 140 units in a production span of three years and presents the new 560 Flybridge.  The new Prestige 560 is an update of the 550 with a restyling of the bathing platform now extended even more, renewal of the interior furnishings, and new large glass window for the lower deck serving the guest cabins.  This last detail is what actually recognizes the 560 from the 550 when seen from the outside.  The Prestige 560 will also get a technical update with fuel tank capacity increased by a little over two hundred liters, which extend the cruising range by about forty nautical miles.

New Model: Prestige 630

When the market is giving you a lot of feedback it is normal that you attack more and try to increase your share. This is what Prestige has been doing in recent years and the 630 comes as an expected surprise new model for the 2017 season replacing the 60/620 after six years production. Designed as all the range by Garroni, the Prestige 630 mimics the exterior style of the larger 750 and 680 sisters in a smaller size.  Inside the 630 also continues with recent practical elements as a spacious astern galley, large galley wet-bar on the flybridge, and a separate entrance for the owners midships stateroom. Other interesting elements of the Prestige 630 will also be the large well laid out flybridge and a big yacht feel all around especially when compared with the replacing 620.  The Prestige 630 will be powered by twin Volvo 725hp with IPS pod drives which give it a 28 knots max speed and 24 cruise, possibly these medium average speeds being its Achilles heel versus it major competition.

New Model: Prestige 680

Prestige continue to upgrade its Yacht Division line with the launch of its new 680, currently the second largest model of its range and following up on the positive critics the 750 received.  Like the 750 the new Prestige 680 designed by JandJ and Garroni unlike trends of the last decade or so in this size, features an innovative owners stateroom forward with an independent entrance layout.  Three or two other cabins depending layout choice are located at midships, with a crew cabin sleeping two at aft.  The main deck and living quarters of the Prestige 680 is centered around the astern galley located by the patio door to port side, opposite this is a dining table for eight, while forward is the helm and relaxing L-shaped sofa.  The Prestige 680 will be powered by twin Volvo 900hp with the largest of the IPS pod drive units.  These units, rather small for a 21 meter motor yacht reach okay speeds of 30 knots max and 25 cruise thanks also to a light displacement of only 29 tons in dry mode.

Project: Prestige 680 S

The 680 S project completes the line of Prestige motor yachts. A Sportfly version of the new 680, the S concept features a large, sliding glass sunroof that opens over the saloon, to transform the interior space in an instant.  The flybridge with access from the aft deck to port side with a stair case perfectly integrates into her sporty line. The fly will feature a full helm station as well as an inviting open-air saloon.  The interior lower offers two layout choices of three of four double cabins, plus a crew cabin sleeping two aft.  Prestige 680 S will be powered by twin Volvo 900hp with forward looking dual propeller IPS pod propulsion system.

Project: Prestige 420 S

The combined experience of Prestige design office; Jernej Jakopin, JP Concepts, and Garroni helped to design the project of the new 420 S. As all Prestige the 420 S combines large internal volumes, and integrate IPS pod drives for offering easy low speed harbor maneuvering. The Prestige 420 S strikes for original plan details in this size but something the French builder has already shown in its bigger models as the 450 series. The astern galley, and the separate entrance for the two cabins to fore and midships, are unique interesting details in this size range. Prestige with the 420 S follows a winning formula with an open and bright living main deck, and a lower floor fully dedicated to the two cabins. Power will be standard Volvo 300hp or twin 370hp units with propulsion being the Volvo forward looking dual propeller IPS pod drives. Max speeds estimates are 33 knots with the large engine option.

New Model: Prestige 750

It's an interesting time for the Beneteau Group the current largest boat builder in the World. It's motor boating brands have been a source for innovative layouts in the latest years, and the Prestige designers trio of Garroni, JandJ, and JP concepts do it most with the new 750 flagship of the brand.  It's been for a long time standing and called the holy grail of layouts in this size, that for an owners room at amidships, but this new Prestige challenges that concept with an owners cabin to fore, in a separate dedicated deck between the lower and main floors. This can have many advantages less water noise coming from the hull when on the bed, and higher no headroom problem.  Another challenging feature in the Prestige 750 is that of an astern galley and dinette, first featured on the Ferretti 630 in 2005, but a feature which hardly if ever seen in this size.  The Prestige 750 comes a few feet short of being a super-yacht but many of the features makes it an impressive for its size.

New Model: Prestige 450 Flybridge

Prestige has released some interesting new models in the past years showing some clever layout arrangements, a design stint which started with the project of the 58 launched as 60 and continued to evolve with the 500 series.  The 450 Flybridge here follows the layout of the S of the same designation we presented a couple of weeks ago here on PowerYachtBlog with the added bonus of the helm and entertainment area up top.  In the 450 Flybridge the fly deck is reached via a ladder to port side.  The layout up top offers a helm to port side, C-shaped settee to aft, sun pad to fore, and a wet-bar to starboard, a conventional layout on most flybridge cruisers in this size nowadays.  Inside the 450 Flybridge offers a nice main deck layout with the astern galley, while below is a two cabins with two separate entrances for the owners suite amidships, and guest cabin to fore.  Power is twin Volvo 370 or 435hp engines with IPS pod drives which give a max speed of 33 knots.

Project: Prestige 720 Yacht

It was a question of when it will happen, that Prestige launched a new flagship and extend the size from what its current largest model the 620.  The Prestige 720 extends the French brand part of the Beneteau Group by ten feet and presents also a new set of looks and an innovative interior layout.  From a certain point of view designers Garroni, and JandJ try to keep modern classic in the 720, a Prestige teem since the brand was part of Jeanneau, but then the side view window just under the shear line give a touch of current times.  Who knows may be this window will also give a new position to the owners room in the 720?  The main deck layout of the 720 follows what Prestige is also doing in its smaller models following latest trends of locating the galley, and also dining area in this case astern.  Forward to this is a more relaxing area, and a helm to port side just as in smaller yachts comes in front to this, with no dividing partition. Below the design team and Prestige get creative putting the owners stateroom in an unusual position in this size and a higher altitude to fore, with the rest of the three guest cabins located behind it and to a lower level.  Unusually the VIP suite in the 720 is a full beam amidships cabin.  A crew cabin sleeping two is located to aft.  Power is from MAN engines and start at 800, 1000, or 1200hp options.  Max speeds estimated are 28 knots.

New Model: Prestige 550 S

With the Prestige 550 S, the designers and the French boat builder part of the Beneteau Group gets as close it can get to a sport coupe yacht versus the flybridge.  It gets so close that the Prestige 550 S also offers a fly deck albeit reserved for sun bathing.  Still the team of designers JandJ, Garroni, JP Concept offer a complete sport yacht comfortable for a long Summer cruise with three spacious guest cabins, plus a crew cabin located aft.  Standout features in the 550 S which has same layout as the Fly are a few, but I can tell you about the separate entrance staircase to the full beam owners stateroom located to midships, the astern galley, and the sun deck on top of the hardtop.  Power is twin Cummins 600hp with propulsion coming from the ZF Zeus pods, which give a wide open throttle speed of 30 knots.
Technical Data:
LOA - 17.92 m (58.9ft)

New Model: Prestige 450 S

Prestige continues to reinvent its line with Italian designer Garroni extending and evolving the looks of what he shown a couple years ago with the new 60 flagship.  As it often happens a new top line model usually represents an upgrade and a change to all the line and Prestige has rightfully followed this philosophy with the 450 taking another step from the one year ago presented 500 series.  The Prestige 450 S is a fully enclosed hard top sport cruiser which bring some interesting features in this size from the astern galley on the main deck, to the two separate staircases for the two cabins; owners and guest to fore.  This last is very unusual for a cruiser measuring thirteen meters which adds privacy to the owners room to midships and separate its completely from the guest cabin to fore.  Certainly an appreciated feature if your cruise will involve guests.  Another two extra berths are available in the convertible saloon dinette on the main deck which is located to port side, opposite of the helmsman station, and a two person relaxing sofa.  Power is twin Volvo 370 or optional 435hp engines with the easy to use IPS pods propulsion.

New Model: Prestige 620 S

When speaking about the Prestige 620 S it is hard to categorize this model from a Sport or Flybridge Motor Yacht.  This new sport flybridge category started out with a jockey stand on the top of the hard top of larger around eighty sport yachts, but this is recently being more evolutionized to include more spacious bridges.  The Prestige 620 S is a further evolution of the 60 model with a redefined stern area which has its bigger change in the extended bathing platform.  For the rest the 620 S is the same as the 60 version with three large cabins, a clever main deck with its highlight being the astern galley and the opening sunroof which opens a third of the roof. Good fuel consumption comes also with the 620 S thanks to IPS pods and twin Volvo 700hp eninges which give a top speed of 30 knots.
Technical Data:
LOA - 19.5 m (63.9ft)

New Model: Prestige 620

Prestige 620 is a further evolution of the 60 launched in 2009, presenting also the French builder new yacht line series.  The Prestige 620 is a tune up of the much well received 60, which thanks to its well planned lower and main deck layouts, and economic to run fuel consumption thanks to IPS pods has received amazing reviews globally.  The tune up in the 620 comes from a new extended larger bathing platform also available with hydraulic up and down movement, and a redesign of the flybridge deck.  For the rest the 620 keeps its well received interior plan mostly appreciated for its astern galley on the main deck, for the large cabins below, and a full beam owners suite which would not look out of place in a yacht five feet larger.
Technical Data:
LOA - 19.5 m (63.9ft)

Project: Prestige 450 S

As Prestige has done in its recent 500 and 550 releases, the concept is again followed in the 450 series where alongside the flybridge model, is released the S coupe version for the Express Line.  This model follows in all internal layout that of the flybridge sister, with a large sun-roof replacing the helm and extra entertainment area up top.  Inside is the much appreciated layout with the nice astern galley, and a separate entrance for the full beam owners midships suite taking prize of innovation in this size.  In the web site this model seems not to replace the 440 S at the moment, being the 450 S a more open type sport cruiser this decision does make sense, although I am sure that Prestige will wait for more market indications. Power is from twin Volvo 370 and 435hp engines with IPS pod propulsion with top speed of around 30 knots.

Project: Prestige 450 Flybridge

Following with a styling which was started with the 58/60 flagship and followed with the 50 and 55 feet models in recent years, Prestige presents the project for a 450 Flybridge.  Designed as all the line by long time collaborator Garroni this Prestige will replace the long standing and succesful 46 model.  Unlike it predecessor which offered a three lower deck choice though the 450 Flybridge will offer two large cabins only with a full beam midships located owners cabin being one of its most attractive features, thanks also to the uniqueness in this size of a separate entrance.  The main deck also follows the layout of the larger models with a nice astern galley being another of the design solutions I like.  Power for the new Prestige 450 Flybridge is twin Volvo 370 or optional 435hp.  Prestige is estimating top speeds of 33 knots with the large optional choice.

Project: Prestige 620

Prestige present the project for its new 620, a further development of the 2009 launched 60 model.  Designed by Garroni interior and upper structure, with a hull by World famous Micheal Peters specially made for IPS pod drives the 620 will differ from the three year produced 60 for a flybridge redesign, and a new stern layout with larger bathing platform this also available with up down easy tender launch movement.  Down below will be the same equiste layout with the astern galley standing out on the main saloon, and the three double cabins all with personal head taking the show below.  A two person crew cabin is also available to aft.  Power is Volvo 700hp which give max speeds of 30 knots.
